A Note on the Centering Constants in the Adler-Rosalsky Central Limit Theorem
For nonzero constants { an, n ⩾1} and i.i.d. random variables { Y, Yn n⩾1} with EY2 = ∞ and [Formula: see text] Adler and Rosalsky (1989) proved a generalzed central limit theorem [Formula: see text] are suitable numerical sequences. In addition, Adler and Rosalsky(l989) showed that the centering constants { An, n⩾1} can be taken to be [Formula: see text] if the condition [Formula: see text] is replaced by the stronger condition that p{ | Y | > y} is regularly varying with exponent - 2. In this note, it is shown that the generalized central limit theorem does indeed hold with [Formula: see text] without any strengthening of the condition [Formula: see text]. </jats:p

Jewish Religious Influence in the Adler Papyri?
It is my intention to discuss one question only, and not all the problems which are connected with the group of documents published as ‘The Adler Papyri’ by Mr. E. N. Adler together with his collaborators, the late Professor F. Ll. Griffith, Dr. F. M. Heichelheim and Mr. J. G. Tait in 1939. This question is: Are there any traces of Jewish religious influence to be found in the Adler Archive, as has been suggested by the editors?</jats:p
Integrable extensions of the Adler map via Grassmann algebras
We study certain extensions of the Adler map on Grassmann algebras Γ(n) of order n. We consider a known Grassmann-extended Adler map and under the assumption that n =1, obtain a commutative extension of the Adler map in six dimensions. We show that the map satisfies the Yang–Baxter equation, admits three invariants, and is Liouville integrable. We solve the map explicitly by regarding it as a discrete dynamical system.</p
