    Terumbu karang merupakan komponen penting dalam ekosistem pesisir, karena keanekaragaman habitat yang hidup di terumbu karang, dan juga menawarkan keuntungan bagi manusia dalam eksploitasinya. Tapi keadaan terumbu karang di dunia mengalami degradasi, sehingga diperlukan metode untuk monitoring terumbu karang dengan pembuatan informasi spasial yang cepat dan akurat. Aplikasi penginderaan jauh terbukti memiliki kemampuan untuk proses pemantauan (monitoring) daerah geomorfologi pada terumbu karang. Studi ini menerapkan metode pengklasifikasian dengan basis obyek GEOBIA (Geographic Object-Based Image Analysis) di Pulau Pombo. Metode ini dapat mengklasifikasikan terumbu karang berdasarkan objek untuk dapat dianalisis geomorfologinya. Tahapan metode ini diproses dari segmentasi citra menjadi segmen objek yang homogen sesuai dengan parameter yang ditetapkan. Hasil geomorfologi berdasarkan hasil pemetaan zona terumbu karang diklasifikasikan pada beberapa tingkatan, yakni laguna dengan luas 28,81 Ha, luas terumbu di bagian dalam adalah 71,69 Ha, luas terumbu di bagian luar adalah 30,75 Ha, puncak terumbu seluas 18,84 Ha, dan lereng terumbu seluas 18,19 Ha. Penerapan metode GEOBIA dapat dilakukan dengan cepat dan sangat baik untuk monitoring terumbu karang di perairan Indonesia dengan presentase 80%. Sebagai pengembangan riset selanjutnya, dengan data lapangan, data sekunder dan lokasi yang sama, perlu dilakukannya metode klasifikasi yang berbeda, misalnya klasifikasi tidak terbimbing dan terbimbing. Hasil masing-masing klasifikasi dibandingkan satu dengan yang lain, agar dapat diketahui kelebihan dan kekurangan setiap metode.</jats:p

    Providing accurate information on suitable multispectral satellite sensors for mapping coral reefs in Indonesia is a challenge for coastal remote-sensing experts. As coral reefs vary in spatial extent, shape, length, perimeter and/or distance to shore, the mapping of coral reefs will need different satellite sensors depending on the objectives and the kind of information required. This work compares the suitability of two kinds of multispectral satellite sensors for mapping coral reefs in Indonesia, high and moderate spatial resolution. This was done through a case study of Wakatobi Marine National Park since that represents many types of coral reef in Indonesia (fringing, barrier, atoll, and patch). Indonesian coral reef shapefile data 2010 was downloaded from UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme) website, and Landsat 7 ETM + images, path/row 112/064 was used to determine the terrestrial area of Wakatobi Islands. Both high and moderate spatial resolution sensors are suitable for mapping the benthic communities and geomorphic zones on coral reefs. The former are more accurate but they are also much less cost-effective, especially over large areas

    Nationalism produces a complex identity because it is constructed from colonial tradition which is reproduced continuously by history. In this context, the writer of this paper analyzes the phenomenon from literary approach. A short story written by Indonesian author, Seno Gumira Ajidarma, entitled “Clara atawa Wanita yang Diperkosa” is chosen because it reveals a different narration in viewing the existence of Chinese Society in Indonesia. This paper will use post-colonial study to reveal how is the rhetoric of tradition and development, the idea of universality and postnation, also the ambivalence in nationalism discourse.     Methods to understand coral reefs health are increasingly diverse. One of the promising method is georeferenced photo transect. In this method, a diver took benthic community photos using a camera installed or connected with a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver, so that each photo taken has a geographic coordinate on it. This spatial information is very useful for monitoring coral reefs health. The purpose of this research is to understand coral reefs cover in Pombo Island, Maluku by using georeferenced photo transect method. Field data collection was done in April 2015 with 14 transect lines. Overall of 14 transect lines, 3 transects are in Good category, other 3 transects are in Pretty Good category, and the rest of 8 transects are in Not Good category. Coral species commonly found around transect lines are Porites lutea, Porites lobata, Acropora valenciennesi, Acropora hyacinthus, Turbinaria mesenterina, Stylophora pistillata, Mycedium elephantotus, Acropora latistell

    Analysis of Shoreline Shift using Satellite Imagery near Makassar City

    Shoreline shift have occurred in the Coastal region of Makassar City in recent years due to abrasion and accretion. Spatial temporal feature extraction of the Makassar City Region has been carried out using remote sensing techniques &nbsp;withRadiometri, &nbsp;Geometric Corrections and Composite Imagein the Landsat image dataset in 2009 and 2019. This study aims to analyze shoreline shift near Makassar City with remote sensing technology using Landsat imagery data, based on multi-temporal data with visual and digital analysis techniques between 2009 and 2019. This research contributes to local and central government as baseline data (data base) in making decisions for handling coastal areas. The results showed that the length of the Makassar City coastline without including the coastline length of the islands separated from land in a row that is equal to 37.79 km in 2009. While in 2019 there was a significant change that is 49.82 km. This shows the addition of a coastline of 12.03 km in the span of 10 years. These changes are mainly caused by anthropogenic factors, namely the construction of the pier / port and the reclamation and hydro-oceanographic factors, namely waves, currents and tides

    ANALISIS KESESUAIAN PERAIRAN BAGI KEGIATAN WISATA BAHARI SNORKLING DAN SELAM DI PERAIRAN PULAU NUSALAUT KABUPATEN MALUKU TENGAH

    Maluku memiliki sumberdaya laut yang sangat besar, baik sumberdaya hayati maupun nir-hayati termasuk potensi wisata bahari yang menjadi prioritas pemerintah untuk dikembangkan. Namun pada kenyataannya, perkembangan wisata bahari di Maluku masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, yaitu menentukan lokasi yang layak untuk dijadikan tujuan wisata. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk melihat tingkat kesesuaian wisata khususnya wisata snorkling dan selam di perairan Pulau Nusalaut. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada tahun 2014 dan 2015 di 6 (enam) lokasi yang berbeda.&nbsp; Pengambilan data karang menggunakan metoda LIT (Line Intecept Trancect) dan dianalisis menggunakan "Life Form Program". Pengamatan ikan karang dilakukan dengan Underwater Visual Census (UVC) dan transek. Parameter lingkungan diambil dengan cara pengukuran langsung dilapangan. Terumbu karang dikategorikan dalam kondisi ”Baik” dan ”Sangat Baik” dengan persentase tutupan karang antara 58,54-77%. Sebanyak 217 jenis karang batu yang termasuk ke dalam 52 genera dari 16 famili menempati rataan terumbu. Keanekaragaman ikan karang berada pada kondisi yang cukup baik dengan indeks keanekaragaman berkisar antara 3,05-4,09. Setidaknya terdapat 2.838 individu ikan karang dari 25 famili dan 170 jenis, terbagi dalam kelompok ikan indikator sebanyak 6%, ikan mayor 67% dan ikan target 27%. Kecerahan perairan berkisar antara 8-12 m dengan kecepatan arus antara 1,6-18,5 m/s. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kesesuaian wisata, seluruh lokasi penelitian dikategorikan “Sangat Sesuai” untuk dijadikan tujuan wisata snorkling maupun selam dengan Indeks Kesesuaian Wisata antara 81,25-95,83%.The Maluku Islands have the potentials of marine resources, including marine tourism which is currently a priority for the government to develop. But in reality, the development of marine tourism in Maluku faces various obstacles, such as determining the appropriate location to be a tourist destination. This study intends to see the suitability of the tourism area, especially snorkeling and diving in Nusalaut Island. Sampling was carried out in 2014 and 2015 in 6 different locations. Retrieval of coral data using the Line Intercept Transect method and analyzed using the "Life Form Program". Observation of reef fish was done by Underwater Visual Census and transects. Environmental parameters are taken by direct measurement in the field. Coral reefs are categorized as "Good" and "Very Good". A total of 217 types of rock corals belonging to 52 genera from 16 families occupy reef flats. Reef fish biodiversity is in a fairly good condition with a diversity index ranging from 3,046-4,089. There are at least 2,838 individual reef fishes from 25 families and 170 species. Waters\u27 transparency ranges from 8-12 m with a current velocity between 1.6-18.5 m/s. Based on the results of the tourism suitability analysis, all research locations are categorized as "Very Appropriate" to be used as a snorkeling and diving tourist destination with a Tourism Suitability Index between 81.25-95.83%

Pan Global”, skripsi Program Studi Teknika, Progran Diploma IV, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang, Pembimbing I: Abdi Seno, M.Si., M.Mar.E. dan Pembimbing II: Yustina Sapan S.ST., M.M. Economizer di composite boiler adalah suatu pesawat bantu diatas kapal yang berfungsi untuk memproduksi uap panas dengan tekanan lebih dari 1 bar atau 1 atmosfir yang digunakan untuk media pemanas bahan bakar, minyak lumas dan akomodasi lainnya di atas kapal. Economizer memanfaatkan panas dari gas buang mesin induk dalam proses produksi uap untuk menghemat penggunaan bahan bakar. Kebocoran pada economizer side di composite boiler menyebabkan gangguan pada proses produksi uap di atas kapal. Jenis metode penelitian yang penulis gunakan dalam penyusunan skripsi ini adalah deskriptif kualitaf dengan menggunakan pendekatan fault tree analysis (FTA) untuk mempermudah dalam teknik analisis data. Penulis juga menggunakan metode pengumpulan data yang penulis lakukan adalah dengan cara observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara untuk memperkuat dalam analisis data. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab kebocoran pada economizer side di composite boiler type, dampak dari faktor penyebab kebocoran pada economizer side di composite boiler type dan upaya yang dilakukan untuk mencegah faktor penyebab kebocoran pada economizer side di composite boiler type Mv. Pan Global. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian penulis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa faktor penyebab kebocoran pada economizer side di composite boiler type MV. Pan Global adalah, 1) Kandungan air economizer boiler kurang sesuai yang dapat disebabkan oleh kondisi air keruh/kotor, tingginya kandungan chloride/klorida dan rendahnya nilai pH. 2) Lamanya usia pipa economizer boiler. 3) Tekanan uap berlebih pada economizer boiler. Dampak yang ditimbulkan adalah 1) Endapan kotoran pada economizer boiler, kerak/scale pada economizer tube dan korosi pada economizer boiler. 2) Melemahnya konstruksi economizer boiler. 3) Pressure stress pada economizer boiler. Untuk mencegah faktor-faktor penyebab kebocoran economizer upaya yang harus dilakukan adalah dengan, 1) Penggantian cascade filter. 2) Pemberian BWT (Boiler Water Treatment). 3) Chemical treatment dan rutin melakukan blowdown. Economizer in a composite boiler is an auxiliary engine on a ship that functions to produce high temperature steam with a pressure of more than 1 bar or 1 atmosphere that is used for fuel heating media, lubricating oil and other accommodations on board. Economizer utilizes heat from the main engine exhaust gas in the steam production process to save fuel use. The economizer side leak in the composite boiler caused a disruption in the steam production process on the ship. The type of research method that the author uses in the preparation of this thesis is descriptive qualitative using a fault tree analysis (FTA) approach to simplify data analysis techniques. The author also uses data collection methods that the author does is by way of observation, documentation and interviews to strengthen the data analysis. The purpose of this study was to find out the causes of leakage on the economizer side in the composite boiler type, the impact of the leakage factors on the economizer side on the composite boiler type and efforts were made to prevent the leakage factor on the economizer side in the composite boiler type Mv. Pan Global. Based on the results of the author's research, it can be concluded that the leakage factor in the economizer side in the composite boiler type MV. Pan Global is, 1) The water content of the boiler economizer is not suitable which can be caused by turbid / dirty water conditions, high content of chloride and low pH value. 2) The age of the pipe economizer boiler. 3) Excess steam pressure on the boiler economizer. The impact is 1) Dirt deposits on the boiler economizer, scale on the economizer tube and corrosion on the boiler economizer. 2) Weakening the construction of the economizer boiler. 3) Pressure stress on the boiler economizer.
