    The subject of analysis and interpretation in the article Dragons, flashes and torches as elements of the literary vision of decline in Jan Paweł Woronicz’s the post-partition works is Jan Paweł Woronicz’s writings (poetry, sermons and homilies), who lived from 1757–1829. Through the careful observation of the language used in Woronicz’s works, the author tries to extract metaphors which show a sense of apathy and decline at the turn of the century. The author also attempts to reach the substructure of the preacher-poet’s thinking and to make a critical reflection on the state of culture in a specific period of time — namely the last years of the 18th century and the first decades of the 19th century. She treats metaphors not only as stylistic means, but also as visible signs (phenomena) of feelings towards the world, and recognizes at the same time that Woronicz’s work is one of many testimonies to the intensified intellectual and cultural movement of Poland at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. In the article, the author presents Woronicz as a representative of time “in between,” and as an individual who has experienced something new, an often difficult situation that occurred within the framework of intense changes to the political and aesthetic paradigm that took place at the turn of the centuries

    W artykule zaprezentowano koncepcję teoretycznoliteracką wypracowaną przez Sidneya Laniera w drugiej połowie XIX wieku w Ameryce. Przedstawiono założenia teorii notacji poetyckiej, rytmu pierwotnego i wtórnego oraz powiązania literatury z krajobrazem społecznym, czyli zagadnienia opisane przez Amerykanina w pismach The Science of English Verse oraz The English Novel. Rozważania zostały objęte ramą refleksji nad sposobem kształtowania współczesnego literaturoznawstwa kulturowego.The article presents the theoretical-literary concept developed by Sidney Lanier in the second half of the 19th century in America. The author presents the assumptions of the theory of poetic notation, primary and secondary rhythm, and the links between literature and the social landscape described by the American in The Science of English Verse and The English Novel. The considerations are included in the framework of reflection on the way of shaping contemporary cultural literary studies

    Analysis of the temperature distribution in the place of fixing the ventilated facade

    Designers more and more often choose facade systems with ventilated layers for external walls, especially in the case of new buildings. They are also used to modernize existing buildings. Mechanical connectors are a characteristic element of these constructions. Often, they are ignored in calculating the heat balance of rooms and the entire building. Because they pierce the thermal insulation layer they cause point thermal bridges. The influence of thermal point bridges, usually made of aluminum, i.e. a material with very high thermal conductivity, for heat transfer turns out to be significant. Such thermal bridges significantly increase heat losses through building partitions. This situation increases the heat demand in the rooms to compensate for the heat loss. The article presents the results of the analysis of the impact of mechanical fasteners in ventilated facade systems on heat transfer in the building envelope. The influence of various materials and constructional solutions on the thermal conditions in these walls was investigated

    Thermal efficiency of the building envelope with the air layer and reflective coatings

    Currently, when calculating the heat-shielding qualities of external enclosing structures, the ability of fencing surfaces to reflect the heat flux by radiation is not taken into account. All this leads to an underestimation of heat-shielding characteristics in comparison with reality. Studies have shown. that a number of factors affect the thermal protection of air layers - the difference in temperature on the surfaces of the interlayer, its thickness. But the most important is the coefficient of elimination of the air gap surface. The use of reflective heat insulation with a low emissivity on one of the surfaces of the air gap makes it possible to increase its thermal protection 2.5–3 times. The article presents the calculations of thermal protection of air gaps with different emissivity coefficients of surfaces and conclusions about the effectiveness of the use of reflective insulation

    Thermal emissivity of tent fabric and its influence on the thermal insulation of tent walls

    The article presents research aimed at determining the thermal properties of tent fabric and, as the final result, the value of the heat transfer coefficient of the thermal protection of a pneumatic tent. It was assumed that the thermal insulation capacity of the tent cover, consisting of two fabric layers separated by an air gap, was determined for two seasons, summer and winter. The tested material had two sides that differed in color, which resulted in obtaining a different value of the thermal emissivity coefficient. The thermal conductivity coefficient of the tent fabric was also measured with the use of a lammeter. The obtained data from the measurements were then used to determine the resistance to heat transfer on the tent surfaces, the thermal resistance of the partition, and finally the value of the heat transfer coefficient

Autorzy przedstawili w nim własne ustalenia wynikające z analizy danych dotyczących zużycia ciepła i kosztów c.o. w budynkach wielorodzinnych osiedla mieszkaniowego oraz przeprowadzonych oględzin lokali mieszkalnych. Na tej podstawie sformułowano wnioski dotyczące przyczyn zawyżania kosztów ogrzewania lokali mieszkalnych ustalanych na podstawie odczytów wskazań podzielników ciepła

    Tent structures are used in many places around the world in both cold and hot climates. They are often used in crisis situations, natural disasters and various types of rescue operations. In order to assess the thermal conditions inside the tent, it is necessary to know the thermal insulation of its external envelopes. The thermal insulation of the cover also determines the selection of equipment for heating or air conditioning the tent. The article presents tests of thermal properties of a tent fabric and the value of the heat transfer coefficient of thermal protection of an pneumatic tent. The thermal insulation of the tent covering consists of two fabric layers separated by an air gap. The research was carried out on the assumption that the tent would be used in cold and hot climate conditions. The thermal conductivity of the material and the conditions of heat transfer on its surfaces were determined. The obtained measurement data were then used to determine the thermal parameters of the tent’s thermal shield
