    Masalah 'target panic' adalah berkaitan dengan ganguan psikologi yang mengakibatkan seseorang pemanah itu hilang kawalan dalam melakukan rutin memanah yang sempurna. Masih belum ada lagi kajian secara terperinci mengenai masalah ini. la biasanya berlaku dikalangan keseluruhan pemanah kategori compound Kelab Memanah UiTM Pahang, tetapi hanya 5 kes sahaja dibincangkan kerana terdapat catatan lengkap. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk meneroka masalah ini dan merungkaikan bagaimana masalah ini dapat diatasi dengan jayanya di UiTM Pahang. Kaedah penyelesaian ini boleh digunapakai dan dijadikan asas untuk penambahbaikan oleh jurulatih-jurulatih memanah di UiTM Pahang khususnya dan di semua peringkat secara amnya

    Kelab Memanah UiTM Pahang telah menjadi kebanggaan UiTM Pahang sejak ia ditubuhkan pada tahun 2006. Dalam masa 6 tahun, kelab ini telah memenangi hampir 600 pingat di kejohanan-kejohanan di dalam dan luar negara. Pencapaian ini adalah mengkagumkan memandangkan diperingkat awal, jurulatihnya kurang pengalaman dan majoriti pemanah tiada latarbelakang memanah. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan maklumat bagaimana psikologi sukan telah digunakan secara langsung dan tidak langsung untuk meningkatkan prestasi pemanah. Aspek penetapan matlamat, motivasi dan konsep kendiri dibincangkan secara terperinci. Pengalaman yang telah diperolehi boleh menjadi panduan untuk digunakan oleh kelab-kelab lain dalam pelbagai bidang

    Pemantau denyutan nadi konvensional biasanya dibangunkan dengan paparan digital berangka. Paparan berangka ini jelas tidak praktikal untuk digunakan semasa bersenam. Dalam kajian ini, aplikasi telefon pintar menggunakan sistem iOS dengan nama Chromozone telah dibangunkan bagi memantau kadar denyutan menggunakan sistem pengkodan warna universal. Pemantau kadar nadi semasa senaman ini direka untuk menyampaikan maklumat intensiti senaman kepada pengguna menggunakan tiga warna kod universal (zon hijau: kadar nadi optimumzon kuning: kadar nadi kurang daripada zon optimum dan merah: kadar nadi lebih daripada zon optimum). Chromozone diprogramkan untuk memaparkan warna seragam melintasi paparan telefon pintar, yang membolehkan pengguna dengan mudah dimaklumkan mengenai keadaan intensiti senaman. Penerimaan data denyutan nadi daripada pemancar kadar nadi dada (heart rate chest transmitter) ke aplikasi Chromozone menggunakan teknologi sistem Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Data tersebut kemudiannya diproses oleh aplikasi untuk menentukan julat intensiti latihan denyutan nadi berdasarkan input peribadi pengguna (seperti umur, jantina, tahap kecergasan dan objektif latihan). Analisis awal mendapati bahawa aplikasi Chromozone berkesan dalam menyampaikan latihan intensiti sebenar semasa kepada pengguna.     Penggunaan instrumen pemantauan elektronik dalam peralatan latihan konvensional mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap tahap minat pengguna, seterusnya meningkatkan pengalaman latihan dan prestasi keseluruhan. Oleh yang demikian, individu boleh mendapatkan manfaat optima dari sebarang latihan sekiranya individu diberi sasaran prestasi tertentu yang mudah difahami, dimaklumkan mengenai kemajuan latihan, diberi motivasi, bimbingan, dorongan dan arahan lisan. Walau bagaimanapun, instrumen pemantauan elektronik konvensional tidak berfungsi secara langsung untuk memotivasi atau melatih individu di dalam program latihan mereka. Malah, peralatan komersial ini terhad penggunaannya di dalam latihan bukan kardiovaskular (contohnya, angkatan bebanan dan latihan isometrik). Sistem prototaip jurulatih senaman maya berupaya menyelesaikan masalah ini dengan menyediakan sensorgerak pintar yang dapat diletakkan secara magnetik ke permukaan alatan senaman seperti dumbbell, atau sebahagian daripada peralatan senaman, seperti pemegang logam dari peralatan senaman. Sensor ini akan menghantar isyarat terus ke aplikasi di peranti mudah alih pengguna untuk diproses dan mengeluarkan outputpanduan senaman, maklum balas interaktif, outputvisual dan audio motivasi semasa latihan senaman.     The use of electronic monitoring instruments in conventional exercise training equipments has had a positive influence on user interest level, subsequently increasing the overall exercise experience and performance. Accordingly, the most beneficial results of any exercise are obtained when an individual is given a specific, easily understandable performance target, is informed of the exercise progress, and is given verbal motivation, coaching, encouragement, and instruction. However, conventional electronic monitoring instruments do not serve to directly motivate or coach the individual to complete an exercise program. Moreover, such a device is of limited use in non-cardiovascular, strength training exercise equipment (e.g free weights and isometric exercises). The present invention responds to this problem by providing a smart motion sensor magnetically retrofittable into exercise apparatus such as a dumbbell, or as part of a piece of exercise equipment, such as a metal handle of exercise equipment that undergoes reciprocal movement. This sensor will continuously transmit a signal to an application in user’s smart device, which then correspondingly generated guided instructional, interactive feedback as well as motivational visual and audio output with respect to various physical exercise a user might undertake. The development of such a practical 2 exercise system would certainly help the active individual, clinical population, athletes, aging and sedentary population to implement a more effective, interactive and safer exercise training regime

    The intense environmental conditions at the summit of Mt. Everest put human physiology near the limit of tolerance. The immediate (acute) effects of severe oxygen deprivation of extreme altitudes related to the human response and the adaptations to prolonged exposure (chronic) are complex. Mohd Nasuha Shamsudin, the youngest Malaysian climber to scale Mt. Everest was selected for the case study. Analysis of both acute and chronic physiological responses and his self-reported health related symptoms during his expedition to summit of Mt. Everest was studied. The purpose of this study was to describe the respondent's responses and adaptation to his cardiovascular, respiratory, bioenergetics, physical performance as well as the health problems in different level of altitude. The finding, found several primary symptoms of hypoxia including headache, nausea, dizziness, insomnia, shortness of breath upon exertion, persistent rapid pulse, excessive flatulence and general fatigue upon reaching to high altitude. The respondent also reported common problem at high altitude including loss of appetite, dehydration and severe 'khumbu cough '. Useful information was gained based on the climber's self-reported measurement and experience in relations to the extreme altitude acclimatization and sickness and the physiological implication at an altitude

    The conventional heart rate monitor is usually developed with a numeric digital display. This numerical view is obviously not practical to be used during exercise. In this study, the iOS-based mobile application, called Chromozone, was developed to monitor heart rate using the universal colorcoding system. The heart rate monitor during the exercise is designed to notify the exercise intensity information to users using the three universal color-coded (i.e. green zone: optimal heart rate; yellow zone: heart rate lower than the optimal zone, and red zone: heart rate higher than the optimal zone). Chromozone is programmed to display uniform colors across the smart phone display, which allows users to easily be informed in regards to the state of exercise intensity. The transfer of heart rate data from the chest transmitter to Chromozone application is designed to use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) system technology. The heart rate data is then processed by the application to determine the intensity range of exercise training heart rate based on the user’s personal input (i.e. age, gender, fitness levels and training objective). Preliminary analysis found that Chromozone application is effective in delivering real-time exercise intensity heart rate. Chromozone could potentially help athletes, active individuals and clinical populations to monitor and regulate their workout training regime in a more effective and safer manner

    ‘Target Panic’ can make an archer to experience a disruption in their archery routines and techniques. The study is to explore the problem of ‘Target Panic’ among 28 archers who have experienced this emerging problem before. The objective of this study is to understand this issue better, to look into the differences of scores before and while an arher who is experiencing the 'Target Panic' and listing the recovery steps through the feedback received. Using primary data, 104 questionnaires were distributed and only 53 questionnaires were completed and returned. The instrument is then analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 20.0 for t-test (two-tailed) comparison of scores before and during archers experiencing ‘Target panic’.Results show that there are significant differences in scores for the compound archers but no significant scores differences were found among recurver archers
