The ethical and moral-based dimension of leadership in CSR-oriented strategies and sustainable entrepreneurship
No full textThis chapter addresses the theme of leadership and its influence on corporate social
responsibility (CSR) and sustainability-oriented strategies. Specifically, it aims to analyse,
through a deductive and literature-based approach, the relevance of the ethical and moral
leadership models with respect to the diffusion of CSR and sustainable entrepreneurship. Linking ethical and moral-based leadership to the CSR and sustainable entrepreneurship discourse allows us to point out the relevance of an authentic orientation in supporting
change and fostering sustainable entrepreneurship The theoretical construct of responsible and sustainable leadership derives from the
intersection of the moral-based leadership concepts with those of CSR and sustainable
entrepreneurship..Drawing from these premises, this chapter seeks to identify leadership models and
attributes consistent with (and necessary to develop) an authentic CSR-oriented strategy
and able to foster sustainable entrepreneurship.
Accordingly, in this chapter, we argue that leadership represents a key aspect that
warrants more research within both CSR and sustainable entrepreneurship studies. The
research questions that orients this study can be summarised as follows: Which leadership
models favour authentic CSR practices? Are moral, ethical-based and virtues-based models
of leadership effective in developing CSR and fostering sustainable entrepreneurship?
These questions guide the critical review of the different leadership approaches, bringing
attention to the models that are most coherent in regard to the actual socio-economic
context which requires managers and entrepreneurs to govern the internal and external
complexity and actively contribute to sustainability. The methodological approach is
mainly based on a literature review that surveys critical points in current literature that is
relevant to the topic.
The work is structured as follows. First, we offer an analysis of the leadership theoretical
framework in the context of the CSR debate. We begin with a brief methodological
note, followed by an analysis of the antecedents of CSR and sustainable entrepreneurship
in terms of values and virtues.
Second, a review of relevant literature on leadership approaches and models consistent
with the CSR and sustainable entrepreneurship discourse is presented, emphasising the relationship between transformational, moral and virtues-based leadership and
CSR-oriented strategies and sustainable entrepreneurship. Drawing from the analysis,
four main propositions are introduced. The final sections illustrate the propositions and
summarise the implications and limitations of the study

Full text linkA Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Pulau Pinang, Malaysia (UiTMCPP) and Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan, Philippines (XU) was held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Friday, 9 September 2022 via Google Meet. The ceremony was hosted by UiTMCPP and led by the initiators of the MoU, Mdm. Aileen Farida Mohd Adam, Mdm. Nazima Versay Kudus and Mr. Noor Azli Affendy Lee, who are also English Language lecturers at the Academy of Language Studies, UiTMCPP. The momentous occasion was officiated by the Deputy Rector (Academic and International Affairs), exercising the functions of the Rector of UiTMCPP, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Ahmad Rashidy Razali and the President of Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan, the Honorable Dr. Fr. Mars P. Tan SJ. Program yang bermula pada jam 2.00 petang ini diadakan di Auditorium Zeta Fasa 1 UiTMKampus Tapah yang dihadiri lebih 50 orang pelajar. Ia adalah bertujuan untuk menarik minat parapelajar semester 3 dalam memilih aliran Fizik pada semester 4 dan 5, seterusnya memilih aliran kerjayadalam bidang Fizik. Menerusi kempen ini, pelajar juga didedahkan dengan kepentingan hukum Fizik yangdiaplikasikan dalam kehidupan harian secara mendalam tanpa disedari. Full text linkAlice’n Records is a sole proprietorship record company owned by musician Adam Badruddin Syah. They are an independent record label based in Malaysia and have two branches, one in Gombak and the other in Ampang. A successful and recognizable musician, Adam Badruddin Syah has huge models to start up a record company. He founded Alice’n Records in his hometown of Gombak, Selangor where he purchased a building a refurbished building for his personal recording studio but in the end thought of the idea to start up a record label. The business began its retail operation in Gombak, Selangor thus making it the record label’s headquareters. The other store of Alice’n Records is located in Ampang which also has a record pressing plant where they produce vinyl records making the first ever company in Malaysia to press vinyl records.
The name Alice’n Records derives from Adam Badruddin Syah’s wife’s name as she is an avid record collector and admirer of vintage music gear. The company does not only sell vinyl records but also does other services such as studio recording for artists and also restoring old and broken phonographs or record players. Many famous bands have signed under Alice’n Records’ label such as “Bunkface” of Malaysia and also The Raconteurs which is a highly acclaimed rock band from the United States. Adam Badruddin Syah’s admiration has also led him to do other projects with the record company. For example, Alice’n Records once reissued lost tracks of old delta blues musicians such as Robert Johnson, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Big Bill Broonzy and much more from Paramount Records, one of the oldest record labels from the United States. They collaborated with another major independent record label from the UK known as 4AD for this project. This project led the two record companies to be nominated for Grammy’s for best box-set and packaging, the first ever record company in Malaysia to achieve this nomination.
The aim for Adam Badruddin Syah whilst starting the company is to share his love of music with all people and expose new and maybe young and upcoming artists to appreciate old music. Adam Badruddin Syah has a keen liking for analog machinery as he believes that it highly under-appreciated these days. So, he wants to let people know and understand the struggle and hardmanship that musicians had to face during the times of analog recording before digital technology came out

No full textThis research is to layout spatial data for the University Technology MARA, Seri Iskandar Campus, and design a search button of the “eCampus GO”. The methodology includes three phases: To summarize, this project required tasks such as data collection, digitization, importing data into ArcGIS Pro, and developing a dashboard. Secondary data collected from OpenStreetMap and Google Earth Pro with data from ground observation for important buildings in campus. All these data were scanned and geo-referenced using AutoCAD and converted into shape files and then imported in to ArcGIS Pro for 3D modelling. The 3D scene was made base on changing the height of buildings and subsequently adding more features of the campus and saved to ArcGIS Online
Raymond Queneau’s Œuvres complètes de Sally Mara
No full textThis chapter follows the development of Raymond Queneau’s works published under the pseudonym (or auteur supposé) of Sally Mara, including her journal intime, at a time when diary-writing and the writing subject itself were out of favour with the literary avant-garde. A novel published in 1947 attributed to Sally Mara, followed by her Journal intime (1950) and her Œuvres complètes (1962), draw on Gide’s experiments with diary-writing, but comically expose the formal processes by which an author-figure and literary œuvre are constructed. This is often done by creating conflict between the several authorial figures involved (Queneau, Mara, and the fictional editor Michel Presle), and by processes of metalepsis (the transgresssion of boundaries in a narrative framework). Yet the works do not reduce the author-figure to an entirely textual, discursive phenomenon, disconnected from reality, and they tend to endorse a reader’s curiosity about the ‘real’ author.</p

Full text linkThis thesis is about fire evacuation awareness at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). In this study, there are three campus of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) which from branch Shah Alam, Selangor, Puncak Alam, Selangor and Seri Iskandar, Perak. Respondents from the 3 branch of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) are the key to succeed this study where the questionnaire are distributed to the staff and students who are occupied in that building, and there has an interview session between the author and the person who is in charge in this studies. The issues that are arise in the Campus of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) branch Shah Alam, Selangor is there are no assembly point because this campus are crowded with buildings. Because of the issues, it brings to the making of this study. The author decided to study about the fire evacuation on the campus with different situation, which are the old campus are longer, new campus, and small capacity campus. This study was conducted to study about fire evacuation system in all the different campuses. Not all the campuses are using the same system. They used conventional system, full addressable system and semi addressable system. By studying the system, the author know what are the problems on the buildings that the fire drill are not conducted for their building occupants. Fire drill is important to increase the level of awareness of building occupants. The study also highlight suggestions from the Facility Department to improve their current system, as well as suggestions from the respondents to improve their self-awareness

Sesi temubual ini dijalankan untuk mengetahui tentang latar belakang perjalanan hidup dan pengalaman Puan Azizah binti Adam dalam kerjayanya sebagai seorang penekat benang emas. Temubual ini telah dijalankan secara atas talian di platform Google Meet pada 21 Januari 2023 sekitar pukul 10 pagi. Minat beliau yang mendalam terhadap seni kraf tangan tekat benang warisan negara ini telah membantunya menjana pendapatan. Puan Azizah binti Adam mula menceburi bidang seni tekat ini sejak tahun 1979 sehingga berjaya menubuhkan bengkel dan perniagaannya sendiri. Kehalusan sulaman seni tekat benang Azizah Adam yang hebat telah berjaya membawanya terbang sehingga ke /uar negara. Kesabaran dan kesungguhan beliau dalam memajukan bidang seni kraf ini memberinya banyak kenangan manis dan pahit buat dirinya. Berpuluh tahun sudah berlalu, jiwa dan cinta Puan Azizah binti Adam terhadap dunia seni kraf masih tidak pudar dan sedia untuk meneruskan cintanya dalam warisan seni kraf ini seiring dengan peredaran zaman
