ENT300 Fundamental of Enterpreneurship MaiDah Enterprise / Abid Arif Abd Rashid...[et al.]
MaiDah Enterprise is a business that design an application services that purposely to reduce problems facing by non-residents students in UiTM. We provide Track the location of bus (GPS), Arriving of bus (Time), Amount of passengers (Availability) and passengers can pin their location (Pin). Our target’s customers are non- residents students. We sell our product services at RM 4.99. Based on the targeting customer, we identifying the customers are from Diploma and Degree students from different semester. This business is based on partnership where it consists of five members who hold important positions in the company such as General Manager, IT Manager, Marketing Manager, Operation Manager and Financial Manager. The total contribution of each member for the business purposes is RM 14300. We are hoping and wishing to make MaiDah application service be able to provide connectivity with the user and helps them to solve problem facing. Our business is expected to commence on 18 December 2020. The members are basically from Diploma graduation have their own capabilities. The five partners will be take responsibilities based on their different duties and work’s portfolio
Eco-design of low energy mechanical milling through implementation of quality function deployment and design for sustainability
Effect of Pressure on the CO2 Absorption into Ladle Furnace Slag
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the greenhouse gases (GHG) and the concentration is much more higher than other GHG gases. Based on the prediction, about 285.73 million tonnes will be emitted in year 2020 with the main contributors are from power generation, manufacturing industries, transportation and residential sector [1]. This research focused to study the effect of pressure on the CO2 absorption with Malaysia steel slag using mechanical stirrer. The steel slag is collected from one of steel industry located in Pasir Gudang Johor Malaysia and characterized to investigated the chemical composition. The reaction between CO2 absorption and the slag was investigated by using different speed and weight. The initial pressure was set at 101.3 kPa which equivalent with 1 atmospheric pressure. The behavior of the reaction between CO2, and ground sample was investigated by measuring the change in the CO2 pressure inside the mechanical stirrer. It was found that the CO2 pressure decreased as soon as the stirrer started and continuously decreased till bout 270 t/min stirring time.</jats:p
Eco-design of Low Energy Mechanical Milling Through Implementation of Quality Function Deployment and Design for Sustainability
Malaysia as a developing country favor energy demand by years which created mainly from fossil fuel. Unfortunately, the action leads to significant increment in carbon dioxide (CO2) emission that causing the global warming. The most promising mitigation strategy is by deploying Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology where mineral carbonation was identified as the safest method for permanent storage and does not require continuous monitoring. Accordingly, National Green Technology was launched in 2009 to support the growth of green technology development in Malaysia as a carbon mitigation strategy. Thus, this paper aims to propose the development of a conceptual eco-design for Low Energy Mechanical Milling (LEMM). The concept was proposed by using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) tool with combination of sustainability determinants (DFS) namely economic, environmental and social which evaluated using Solidworks 2015 sustainability assessment. The results show the new product targets for LEMM in prior on energy consumption (MJ), selling price (MYR), material cost (MYR), carbon footprint (kg CO2) with weightage of 5.2, 4.2, 3.6 and 3.6 respectively. The implementation of DFS criteria into the QFD promote to reduce material used by 16%, 35% reduction of carbon footprint, 28% less energy consumption, 28% lower air acidification, 77% of water eutrophication declined and increased recyclability by 15%
Review on Design for Medical Device
Medical devices are one of the uprising star in product development due to high demand among users. Developing safe, effective and usable design is indeed a challenging work which faced by designer nowadays. There are comparative methods in designing medical device to achieve desired outcome. Weather designing a “User-friendly”, “Safe to use” or “Eco-friendly” product requires an exclusive method. This review paper might illuminate some light to the designers and researchers who choose to integrate those aspect in their design work in healthcare sector. A review on current method used on user-friendly approach, ensuring safety, regulations on safety of medical device and suggested standards to ensure safety in less complicated way. Thus, there is no solid method or standard yet to establish on safety for medical device
