The study of job satisfaction among Bandar Abbas Islamic Azad university staff
AbstractThe present research aims to compare and investigate job satisfaction among Bandar Abbas Islamic Azad University staff which consists of scientific committee, staff members and servant's employee.59 people were selected randomly among university staff as sampling and Questionnaire were used in order to collect the accurate data. There are also two subscales: 1) Organizational Atmosphere Satisfaction. 2) Organizational Salary Satisfaction. Psychometric analysis of this Questionnaire reveals high and acceptable validity and reliability. Descriptive and inferential (Independent T test, one way ANOVA and LSD) statistics were used which accordingly findings show that there is no meaningful relationship between sex(male and female), age variables and job experience between university staff in the field of job satisfaction. But there was significant differences among three groups were very obvious according to their degree and rate of education. In other words, those who are the member of scientific committee and also have high level of education and academic degrees were absolutely happy with the organizational satisfactions in comparison with the others employees .Servants employee have high salary satisfaction and also findings show that 41% believes that organizational atmosphere is extremely satisfying and 29% believes that organizational atmosphere is bearable and finally 30% are agreed that organizational atmosphere is very weak and unsatisfactory. Moreover, the findings related to salary satisfaction reveal that 51% of the staff has reasonable feeling about their salary and 15% are in a minor population of satisfied employees while 34% have a very weak salary satisfaction. So it is concluded that organizational atmosphere satisfaction is higher than salary satisfaction among all the employees
Subjective vitality and its anticipating variables on students
AbstractThis study survey the anticipating variables of subjective vitality of students.338 first year student picked up randomly of Azad university of Bandar Abbas. The results showed there is fairly good positive relationship between life skills, self-efficacy, university adjustment, life satisfaction and psychological well-being with subjective vitality. Regression analysis showed psychological well-being, life skills and life satisfaction are respectively best predictors of subjective vitality. These variables convey. /347 of variances. The results were agreed with other researches
The Association of Age and Left Atrial Dysfunction in Patients with Atrial Fibrillation
Available online 10 July 2025Background: Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction is common in atrial fibrillation (AF), driven by an underlying left atrial (LA) cardiomyopathy. We hypothesize that advancing age is a key risk factor for the development of LA cardiomyopathy and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction in patients with AF. OBJECTIVE This study aimed to determine the impact of age on invasive and noninvasive measures of LA structure and function. Methods: Consecutive patients with symptomatic AF with preserved left ventricular (LV) function undergoing catheter ablation were enrolled. During ablation, invasive hemodynamic assessment was performed to quantify LA pressure and stiffness. Noninvasive assessment included LA reservoir strain and indexed volumes, LV global longitudinal strain, LV enddiastolic volume, and natriuretic peptides. Functional capacity was determined using cardiopulmonary exercise testing, and disease-specific patient-reported symptoms were assessed. Results were adjusted for common risk factors. Results: Of 125 patients, advancing age was associated with increased LA pressure (β = 0.08, P = .05) and stiffness (β = 0.10, P = .002). Patients older than 65 years had greater LA stiffness (P < .001), but no difference in LA pressure (P = .11). Noninvasive measures revealed reduced LA reservoir strain (β = –0.37, P < .001), increased LA minimum (β = 0.24, P < .001) and maximum volumes (β = 0.24, P = .007), reduced LV end-diastolic volume (β = –0.63, P = .005), and increased natriuretic peptides (β = 12.8, P = .01) with age. Age was associated with reduced peak oxygen consumption (β = –0.15, P = .02), but not AF (β = –0.01, P = .66) or heart failure symptoms (β = –0.13, P = .49). Conclusion: In patients with symptomatic AF, aging is associated with LA hemodynamic, structural, and functional impairments, suggestive of more advanced LA disease. These age-related changes were confirmed with exercise intolerance but not patient-reported symptomsJackson O. Howie, Jenelle K. Dziano, Jonathan P. Ariyaratnam, Mohamed Abbas, Genevieve T. Mental imagery to facilitate the change of perception of the audience of the Qur'an, in the context of cultural-communication interpretation of Surah Abbas
The Holy Quran, as a medium, is a book guiding human beings towards salvation, and in this way, tools have been used to attract the attention and influence of the public opinion of the audience, among the most important of which are warnings and evangelism. cited. These warnings and evangelisms have been presented in various forms, one of which is mental imagery of events and phenomena. Past events such as the stories of the previous prophets, future events such as the doomsday groupings, worldly phenomena such as the creation of beings, and finally otherworldly phenomena such as scenes from heaven and hell can be cited as examples. In all these cases, the element of "image" plays a very important role in how the mentality of the audience is formed. In this article, in addition to reviewing various researches that have examined "mental imagery" in Surah Al-Quran, with the approach of thematic and inferential interpretation, "mental imagery in Surah Abbas" is re-read and modeled. The innovative aspect of the article is the subject of "mental imagery" from the perspective of culture and persuasive communication; The "image" and "perception" of our mind of any thing, idea and idea, and finally our attitude and behavior, signifies and guides, and any process leading to real or cultural change, to the factor of media influence and synchronization of the idea. Public opinion relies
The Epidemiologic Study of Depression in Medical Students of Bandar Abbas University (1994-1995)
Objective: The purpose of present study was to find the percentage of depression frequency, its intensity and relationship with chronic and acute stress, history of neurological disorders, and several demographic indexes among medical students of Bandar Abbas University during 1994-95.
Materials & Methods: A total of 300 questionnaires were distributed among students based on random-classified sampling method. Of them, 271 questionnaires were returned and studied.
Results: In the present study, percentage of depression frequency and its intensity were investigated among 271 medical students using Beck Depression Inventory. The results showed that 44.1% of students had depression. The depression rate was scored low (26.3%), average (10.4%), and high (7.4%). The depression frequency was higher in the third and fifth year of university students.
Conclusion: The depression rate had a positive significant correlation with marital status, chronic stress, acute diseases, previous infliction to depression, and other mental disorders. The factors such as disinterest in medicine and dissatisfaction with current situation had specific correlation with depression. However, there was no significant correlation between depression and factors such as age, sex, being native, chronic stress, and positive family history for depression
