One of the most striking features of the Prophet’s approach to people is his guidance in addressing the psychological and sociolog- ical characteristics of the interlocutor. It is seen that from time to time, Prophet offered different advice to different people. For example, Proph- et once said to someone who asked for advice from him “Do not get an- gry” and said to another who also asked for advice “be good to your par- ents” and to another he adviced to “perform the daily prayers in time”. This situation shows that the Prophet analyzed the situation of the in- terlocutor very well and gave spiritual healing and support to everyone. This approach of the Prophet is consistent with the method of the Holy Qur’an descending gradually in twenty-three years, taking into account the situation of people. Today, it is important to determine the psycho- logical status of the interlocutors in services such as spiritual guidance, guidance, counseling and spiritual support. Once this determination is made, choosing the most appropriate verses and hadiths for them will be effective in spiritual support practice. In this context, Prophet’s ap- proaches are important in today, for people who are faced with any phys- ical or mental illness. In this article, we will evaluate the consolation that may be spiritual support for patients in the hadiths by considering the patient’s psychology

Luffa/Epoxy Composites: Electrical Properties for PCB Application

    No full text
Traditional printed circuit board (PCB) laminates such as FR4 types are formed using epoxy resin and glass fiber. The most important problem with waste PCB laminates is that their recycling cycle is too long. Herein, we aimed to show whether it is possible to use plant-based fibers instead of petroleum-based fibers. In this study, we have fabricated alternative eco-friendly Luffa fiber-reinforced/epoxy PCB (Luffa-PCB) laminates using Luffa fiber instead of glass fiber. We examined the properties of Luffa-PCB laminates for potential applications as PCBs in terms of frequency dependence of dielectric permittivity, capacitance, ac conductivity, impedance, and electric modulus by using impedance spectroscopy method in a frequency ranging from 10 Hz to 10 MHz. Furthermore, we investigated the electrical resistivity properties of Luffa-PCB laminates using electrometer/high resistance meter and resistivity test fixture. All the results were compared with commonly used FR2- and FR4-type PCB laminates. According to the results obtained, it has been found that the produced Luffa-PCB laminates have adequate properties as an alternative to traditional laminates. Thus, a very important step is taken to solve the recycling problem by using plant-based fibers instead of glass fibers

There has been a tendency towards spirituality in the Western world, specifically in the United States for nearly the last fifty years. This trend is reflected in all areas of life and it influences the views, as well. Scientific studies are also affected by this and accordingly, the way of conducting academic studies can be shifted. In this article, Anne Harrington draws attention to spiritual inclinations which have recently rose especially in the United States. She especially underlines the academic institutions in this field along with the works such as articles, books etc. Related to spirituality. By expressing that some act like advocates while others act opponents about the relation between developed results about religion, spirituality and health, Harrington states that these approaches are not proper and these need further researches. This article discusses the claims that church attendance increases longevity and resistance to disease, spiritual practices (like meditation) reduce stress and enhance health, faith in God can facilitate recovery from serious illness and that prayer for another can change the outcome of disease. In this article, the researches done about these claims and their results are presented and finally a remark about all of these is made.

The Nb-Si based in-situ composite was produced by resistive sintering (RS) technique. In order to identify present phases, X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis was used on the composite. XRD analysis revealed that the composite was composed of Nb solid solution (Nbss) and ?-Nb5Si3 phases. The microstructure of the composite was characterized by using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) was performed for the micro-analysis of the chemical species. SEM-EDS analyses show that the microstructure of composite consists of Nbss, Nb5Si3 and small volume fraction of Ti-rich Nbss phases. The micro hardness of constituent phases of the composite was found to be as 593±19 and 1408±33 Hv0.1, respectively and its relative density was % 98.54. © 2020. The Author(s). Data on insulin treatment and self-reported blood glucose values were obtained via telephone interview. Logistic regression analysis was performed for factors predicting increased likelihood of persistence and skipping an injection. Results: Overall, 76.8% patients (83.2% in sequential vs 70.3% in single interview group, (P<0.001) remained on insulin treatment at the third month. Significantly higher rate for skipping doses was noted in basal bolus than in other regimens (27.0% vs 15.0% for premixed and 15.8% basal insulin, respectively, P<0.0001). Logistic regression analysis revealed sequential telephonic interview (odds ratio [OR], 1.531; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.093–2.143; P=0.013), higher hemoglobin A1c levels (OR, 1.090; 95% CI, 0.999–1.189; P=0.049), and less negative appraisal of insulin therapy as significant predictors of higher persistence. Basal bolus regimen (OR, 1.583; 95% CI, 1.011–2.479; P=0.045) and higher hemoglobin A1c levels (OR, 1.114; 95% CI, 1.028–1.207; P=0.008) were the significant predictors of increased likelihood of skipping an injection. Conclusion: Our findings revealed positive influence of sequential telephonic interview, although including no intervention in treatment, on achieving better treatment persistence in type 2 diabetes patients initiating insulin. Keywords: type 2 diabetes, insulin analogs, HbA1c, self-monitoring of blood glucos

    Why Do People Migrate?

    No full text
This chapter provides an overview of the migration field, and a brief review of Mexico–U.S. migration flows up to 1965, the year the analysis here begins. It describes the data and methods that led the author to discover four groups among first-time migrants from Mexico to the United States between 1965 and 2010. The first cluster—mostly uneducated and poor men from rural communities—was the majority in the 1970s but dropped to a small minority by the 1990s. The second cluster—many of them teenage boys from relatively better-off families—peaked in the 1980s, becoming the majority group at that time, but declined consistently in size thereafter. The third cluster—mostly women with family ties to former migrants—was increasing slowly in size until it experienced a sudden spike in the early 1990s. And the fourth cluster—mostly educated men from urban areas—grew persistently over time, grabbing the majority status among all first-time migrants in the early 1990s.</p

The Concept of Space in the Holy Quran

    No full text
The concept of space is one of the concepts frequently mentioned in the Holy Quran. The concept in question has a quality that points to both physical and metaphysical dimensions. Since the life of the hereafter is a continuation of this world in Islamic thought, space has also been used frequently in the Quran in the context of the life of the hereafter. The descriptions of heaven and hell have always been described in the Quran by associating them with the concept of space. The concept of space has a use in the Quran that has abstract meanings as well as its concrete meaning. It is seen that it is used in this context when describing the life of the prophets. In this article, it has been examined in which contexts the concept of space is used in the Quran, and the differences between these uses have been revealed. During the examination of the subject, many tafsir sources, especially the Holy Quran, were reviewed. In addition, contemporary sources on the subject were used.
