Terrestrial cosmogenic nuclides 10Be and 26Al from the lower section of the Colorado River
We collected six samples of exposed streambed sand (250-850 μm) from the lower section of the Colorado River, along a ~450km distance starting south of Hoover Dam and ending near Yuma (see exact locations in data table). All samples collected were prepared at the Cosmogenic Laboratory, Institute of Earth Sciences, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, following standard procedures (Bierman & Caffee, 2001 (doi:10.2475/ajs.301.4-5.326); Kohl & Nishiizumi, 1992 (doi:10.1016/0016-7037(92)90401-4)). Be and Al isotopic ratios were measured at the accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) facility (ASTER) at CEREGE, Aix-en-Provence, France, and normalized to accepted AMS standards

Team perfectionism and team performance: A prospective study
Perfectionism is a personality characteristic that has been found to predict sports performance in athletes. To date, however, research has exclusively examined this relationship at an individual level (i.e., athletes’ perfectionism predicting their personal performance). The current study extends this research to team sports by examining whether, when manifested at team level, perfectionism predicts team performance. A sample of 231 competitive rowers from 36 boats completed measures of self-oriented, team-oriented, and team-prescribed perfectionism prior to competing against one another in a 4-day rowing competition. Strong within-boat similarities in the levels of team members’ team-oriented perfectionism supported the existence of collective team-oriented perfectionism at the boat level. Two-level latent growth curve modeling of day-by-day boat performance showed that team-oriented perfectionism positively predicted the position of the boat in mid-competition and the linear improvement in position. The findings suggest that imposing perfectionistic standards on team members may drive teams to greater levels of performance
Report of an independent peer review of A forest management strategy for the proposed Coquille Forest submitted to the Coquille Indian Tribe by the Independent Scientific Advisory Team (ISAT)
"[T]he [Coquille Indian] Tribe requested that the State of Oregon assemble a team of independent scientists to peer review the forest management strategy proposed by the ISAT. The purpose of the independent peer review would be to: 1) assess the degree to which the two major goals assigned by the Tribe are met by the proposed ISAT forest management strategy, 2) validate the scientific soundness of the proposed strategy, 3) identify any gaps in the strategy or components not adequately addressed, and 4) make recommendations to correct deficiencies or to make improvements in the strategy. In response to the Tribe's request, the Governor's Office of Natural Resources assembled a team of independent peer reviewers and structured the process by which the review would be accomplished. The results of the IPR were presented to the ISAT in a conference open to the public which was held on November 21, 1995 at the LaSells Stewart Center, Oregon State University. Following is a consolidated report of major conclusions and recommendations presented by the independent reviewers to the ISAT at the November 21 public forum. Determination of the age of carbonate rocks by the cosmogenic chlorine-36 in the valleys of Miętusia and Mała Łąka
Evidence for a Constant Slip Rate Over the Last ~40 ka Along the Mt. Morrone Fault System in Central Apennines
Located in the easternmost portion of the Central Apennines, the Mt. Morrone normal fault system is one of the highest seismic hazards in Italy. Previous geological and geomorphological observations revealed the presence of a ∼22 km‐long NW‐SE right‐lateral en echelon fault system made of two parallel faults affecting Quaternary deposits. Our analysis focused on the westernmost fault, which bounds the Sulmona Basin. Cumulative offsets were identified and quantified using high‐resolution Digital Elevation Models derived from LiDAR, Satellite Pleiades images, and drone acquisition at the three sites. Morphological markers displaced from a few to tens of meters were dated using 36Cl exposure dating. The results would be suggesting a fault slip rate of 0.2–0.4 mm/a. The deformed markers that dated at 36–44 ka consist of alluvial terraces emplaced by the main streams flowing down from Mt. Morrone to the Sulmona Basin, subsequently incised,
and preserved when the fluvial base level dropped because of the former Sulmona lake fluctuations. The yielded ages for these markers fit well with the last major aggradational event associated with the 35–40 ka Heinrich event described and dated to other fluvial basins in the Apennines. Furthermore, the estimated rate agrees with the values obtained in previous studies over shorter and longer periods (10^5-10^6 years) and within similar
uncertainties. This might then suggest that the period recovered by this study encompasses the entire seismic cycle
Top Management Team Diversity: A systematic Review
Empirical research investigating the impact of top management team (TMT)
diversity on executives’ decision making has produced inconclusive results.
To synthesize and aggregate the results on the diversity-performance
link, a meta-regression analysis (MRA) is conducted. It integrates more
than 200 estimates from 53 empirical studies investigating TMT diversity
and its impact on the quality of executives’ decision making as reflected
in corporate performance. The analysis contributes to the literature by
theoretically discussing and empirically examining the effects of TMT diversity
on corporate performance. Our results do not show a link between TMT
diversity and performance but provide evidence for publication bias. Thus,
the findings raise doubts on the impact of TMT diversity on performance
MATLAB codes of sediment residence time models from samples of the lower section of the Colorado River
ASTER Global Digital Elevation Model (GDEM) and ASTER Global Water Body Dataset (ASTWBD)
The Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) is a 14-channel imaging instrument operating on NASA’s Terra satellite since 1999. ASTER’s visible–near infrared (VNIR) instrument, with three bands and a 15 m Instantaneous field of view (IFOV), is accompanied by an additional band using a second, backward-looking telescope. Collecting along-track stereo pairs, the geometry produces a base-to-height ratio of 0.6. In August 2019, the ASTER Science Team released Version 3 of the global DEM (GDEM) based on stereo correlation of 1.8 million ASTER scenes. The DEM has 1 arc-second latitude and longitude postings (~30 m) and employed cloud masking to avoid cloud-contaminated pixels. Custom software was developed to reduce or eliminate artifacts found in earlier GDEM versions, and to fill holes due to the masking. Each 1×1 degree GDEM tile was manually inspected to verify the completeness of the anomaly removal, which was generally excellent except across some large ice sheets. The GDEM covers all of the Earth’s land surface from 83 degrees north to 83 degrees south latitude. This is a unique, global high spatial resolution digital elevation dataset available to all users at no cost. In addition, a second unique dataset was produced and released. The raster-based ASTER Global Water Body Dataset (ASTWBD) identifies the presence of permanent water bodies, and marks them as ocean, lake, or river. An accompanying DEM file indicates the elevation for each water pixel. To date, over 100 million 1×1 degree GDEM tiles have been distributed
