    Reinterpretasi Monumen Bagindo Aziz Chan Karya Arby Samah dalam Ikonografi Erwin Panofsky

    ABSTRACTResearch was entered to trace the Bagindo Aziz Chan monument by Arby Samah trough the iconographicapproach put forward by Erwin Panofsky, as well as to uncover the reason for the contruction of themonument. The research uses qualitative methods of observation interviews and document.The figure Arby Samah described in the “Bagindo Aziz Chan Monument” is indeed a Bagindo figure,which was made using cement plaster technique, making the work began in 1973 by Arby Samah. Reliefsmade in the foundation of the statue tells the sequence of event killed Bagindo Aziz Chan. The use ofthe realist style found by the author on the Bagindo Aziz Chan monument although the cultivation ofthe statue still looks tough, but the delivery of the sign on the statue is the hope and ideals of BagindoAziz Chan during his leadership as mayor of Padang is clearly depicted. The making of the statue uses acement plaster which is a technique commonly technique. Used by sculpture artists in the 1970s. In 2005Bagindo Aziz Chan was awarded as a national hero from west Sumatera by the central government, andalso on July 19 the people of Padang commemorated the day of death of Bagindo Aziz Chan which was atribute to the leader of Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yaitupengamatan, wawancara dan dokumen.Tokoh yang digambarkan Arby Samah pada karya “Monumen Bagindo Aziz Chan” ini memangsosok Bagindo Aziz Chan, yang dibuat memakai teknik plaster semen, pembuatan karya tersebutselesai mulai dilakukan pada tahun 1971 dan selesai pada tahun 1973 yang dibuat oleh ArbySamah. Relief yang dibuat pada landasan patung menceritakan urutan peristiwa terbunuhnyaBagindo Aziz Chan. Pemakaian gaya realis yang didapati penulis pada monumen BagindoAziz Chan walaupun penggarapan patung tersebut masih terlihat kasar, namun penyampaiantanda pada patung tersebut merupakan harapan dan cita-cita Bagindo Aziz Chan selamakepemimpinannya sebagai wali kota Padang tergambarkan dengan jelas. Pembuatan patungtersebut menggunakan teknik plaster semen yang merupakan teknik yang umum dipakai olehseniman patung pada tahun 1970-an. Pada tahun 2005 Bagindo Aziz Chan dianugrahi sebagaipahlawan nasional asal Sumatera Barat oleh pemerintah pusat, dan juga pada tanggal 19 Julimasyarakat kota Padang memperingati hari wafatnya Bagindo Aziz Chan yang merupakanpenghormatan kepada pemimpin kota Padang yang tegas dan berani tersebut.     Bu çalışma öncelikle, Semah Selim’in romancılığın esaslarına dair araştırma ve incelemelerini tanımlamaya yöneliktir. Bu minvalde Arap romancılığına ait başarılı öncü çalışmalarda Avrupa romancılığından etkilenimin, Arap kültüründen ve özellikle Arap halk kültüründen etkilenim ölçüsünde olmadığı betimlenmiştir. Her ne kadar yazar, temelsiz tercümelerin revaç bulmasında popüler romanların baskın etkisini gündeme getirmiş olsa bile yazarların konu seçiminde toplum zevkinin ve ilgisinin önemli rollleri olduğu bir vakıadırThis study primarily aims at introducing Dr. Samah Seleem’s work and academic endeavor concerning the popular novel and its origin/ the origin of novel to the readers. Her work has revealed that the beginnings of that novel are not attributed to the impact of European achievements. Rather, they could be attributed to the Arabian legacy and its popular roots in particular as the audience has played a major role in directing the writers’ attention to their areas of interest.     Etude de l’activité antibactérienne de Spirulina platensis sur des souches bactériennes isolées de poulet de chair

    Les poulets de chair sont des volailles élevés pour leur viande souvent associés à des infections bactériennes. Au cours de l’augmentation de la résistance de ces bactéries liées aux infections ; notre étude a pour objet de chercher un alternative au antibiotique.La présente étude a été effectuée sur 20 échantillons de poulet de chair. Tous les échantillons ont été dépistés pour Staphylococcus spp, Salmonella spp, Escherichia coli et Enterococcus spp. L’identification microbiologique et biochimique révèle la présence de tous les germes recherchés avec une majorité d’Escherichia coli à 85%, et de Staphylococcus aureus à 50%.L’étude de l’activité antibactérienne de l’extrait éthanolique de la spiruline a été testée contre ces souches bactériennes en utilisant la méthode de diffusion des puits. Staphylococcus aureus était la plus sensible à l’extrait de Spirulinaplatensisavec des zones d’inhibition allant jusqu’à 27mm. Tandis qu’Escherichia coli a montré des effets inhibiteurs minimes avec un diamètre d’inhibition maximal de14mm. Par conséquent, Spirulinaplatensis peut être utile en tant qu’un agent antibactérien et dans divers applications et investigations ultérieurs

    Effective Maintenance by Reducing Failure-Cause Misdiagnosis in Semiconductor Industry (SI)

    International audienceIncreasing demand diversity and volume in semiconductor industry (SI) have resulted in shorter product life cycles. This competitive environment, with high-mix low-volume production , requires sustainable production capacities that can be achieved by reducing unscheduled equipment breakdowns. The fault detection and classification (FDC) is a well-known approach, used in the SI, to improve and stabilize the production capacities. This approach models equipment as a single unit and uses sensors data to identify equipment failures against product and process drifts. Besides its successful deployment for years, recent increase in unscheduled equipment breakdown needs an improved methodology to ensure sustainable capacities. The analysis on equipment utilization , using data collected from a world reputed semiconductor manufacturer, shows that failure durations as well as number of repair actions in each failure have significantly increased. This is an evidence of misdiagnosis in the identification of failures and prediction of its likely causes. In this paper, we propose two lines of defense against unstable and reducing production capacities. First, equipment should be stopped only if it is suspected as a source for product and process drifts whereas second defense line focuses on more accurate identification of failures and detection of associated causes. The objective is to facilitate maintenance engineers for more accurate decisions about failures and repair actions, upon an equipment stoppage. In the proposed methodology, these two lines of defense are modeled as Bayesian network (BN) with unsupervised learning of structure using data collected from the variables (classified as symptoms) across production, process , equipment and maintenance databases. The reliability and learning curves concludes that modeling equipment at module level than equipment offers 45% more accurate diagnosis. The said approach contributes in reducing not only the failure durations but also the number of repair actions that has resulted in recent increase in unstable production capacities and unscheduled equipment breakdowns

    Two Lagrangian functions are used to construct geometric field theories. One of these Lagrangians depends on the curvature of space, while the other depends on curvature and torsion. It is shown that the theory constructed from the first Lagrangian gives rise to pure gravity, while the theory constructed using the second Lagrangian gives rise to both gravity and electromagnetism. The two theories are constructed in a version of absolute parallelism geometry in which both curvature and torsion are, simultaneously, nonvanishing. One single geometric object, W-tensor, reflecting the properties of curvature and torsion, is defined in this version and is used to construct the second theory. The main conclusion is that a necessary condition for geometric representation of electromagnetism is the presence of a nonvanishing torsion in the geometry used. </jats:p

    Optimisation d’une méthode d’extraction des composés phénoliques dans les différents organes de figuier de barbarie : Opuntia ficus indica (L)

    Au cours des dernières décennies, les bienfaits potentiels pour la santé des polyphénols végétaux comme ceux contenus dans le figuier de barbarie Opuntia ficus-indica en tant qu'antioxydants ont suscité beaucoup d’intérêt Dans notre étude, nous nous sommes intéressés à optimiser le procédé d’extraction solide-liquide des polyphénols contenus dans les différentes parties (raquettes,fleurs,écorces et graines) de figuier de barbarie récolté de la région de BOUMERDES en utilisant un plan factoriel complet. Cette étude a été réalisée en faisant varier les deux niveaux des trois facteurs choisis : la température, le solvant d’extraction et la durée d’agitation. Après expérimentation, tous ces facteurs ont été jugés influents sur le rendement d’extraction et par la suite, nous avons trouvé que les conditions d’extraction optimales suivant : température de 40°C ,une durée d’extraction = 45min et le solvant d’extraction diffère d’un organe à un autre dont l’acetonitrile est le solvant optimale pour l’extraction des polyphénols dans les écorces,les fleurs et les graines et l’eau distillée pour les raquettes nous permettait d’obtenir un rendement maximal égale à 29,26%. Les résultats obtenus pour l’analyse quantitative de la composition phénolique des différentes parties en utilisant le test colorimétrique de Folin Ciocalteu, confirment et montrent que les graines sont les parties les plus riches en polyphénols. L’analyse qualitative par HPLC/UV-VISIBLE des différents extraits de l’espèce Opuntia ficus-indica a permis d’identifier :les acides caféique, cinnamique et coumarique dans les écorces et les raquettes quant aux grains uniquement l’acide cinnamique qui a été identifié du figuier de barbarie

    Motion of Spinning Density Tensors in a Clifford Space

    A Clifford Space is counted to be a tempting approach to unify both micro-physics and macro-physics simultaneously. Such a tendency may be found in the realm of replacing vectors with poly-vectors. Accordingly, the problem of motion becomes essential to express the motion of extended particles rather than test particles. These equations are performed by using an equivalent Bazanski Lagrangian in a Clifford space. From this perspective, a generalized type an equation for spinning density tensors and spinning density deviation tensors are obtained.
