Speech act does not only occurin daily life, it can also occur in a television program like in a talk show program.In this research the writer used Just Alvin talk show program as the object to findlocutionary and illocutionary acts used by the presenter and also the guest stars.The research questions are focused on two answer namely the locutionary andillocutionary acts based on the theory of Levinson and Searle. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The data were explained and analyzed using speech act theory.After finding the locutionary and illocutionary act in Just Alvin talk show,the types of locutionary act can be described as follows: declarative, imperativeand interrogative. The most frequent of the locutionary acts performed isdeclarative. Meanwhile, the types of illocutionary act can be described as follows:first, most speakers use representatives to represent a statement. Second, thespeakers use dirrectives to command or request some one to do an action. Third, the speakers use commisives to commit him or herself to the performance of action. Fourth, the speakers use expressives type to express the psychological condition about the situation or state, like pleasure or sadness. Meanwhile, the declaration type is not found in this research. It is hoped that this research contributes important information for the next researcher who is interested in doing the same kind of study. It is suggested for further researchers to use another theory of illocutionary acts, so that different results might be found. Speech act atau tindak tutur tidak hanya terjadi pada kehidupan sehari-hari, tindak tutur juga dapat terjadi pada sebuah acara ditelevisi seperti contohnya acara talk show. Disini penulis menggunakan acara talk show Just Alvin sebagai object untukmencari tindak lokusi dan tindak ilokusi yang digunakan oleh pembawa acara dan bintang tamunya. Rumusan permasalahan di dalam penelitian ini difokuskan pada dua hal yaitu tindak lokusi dan tindak ilokusi berdasarkan teory Levinson dan Searle. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Datanya dijelaskan dan di analisa dengan menggunakan teori tindak tutur. Setelah menemukan tindak lokusi dan tindak ilokusi di Just Alvin talk show, tipe tindak lokusi dapat digambarkan sebagai berikut: declarative (menerangkan), imperative (memerintah) dan interrogative (bertanya). Tipe tindak lokusi yang paling sering digunakan adalah tipe declarative. Sedangkan tipe tindak ilokusi dapat digambarkan sebagai berikut: pertama, pembicara paling sering menggunakan representatives untuk mempresentasikan suatu kalimat. Kedua, pembicara menggunakan directives untuk memerintahkan atau meminta seseorang untuk melakukan sesuatu. Ketiga, pembicara menggunakan commisive untuk melakukan suatu tindakan sendiri. Keempat, pembicara menggunakan expressives untuk mengungkapkan keadaan psikologi pembicara terhadap suatu keadaan seperti rasa senang atau sedih. Selain itu, Declarations tidak ditemukan pada penelitian ini. Semoga penelitian ini dapat bermanfaat untuk peneliti selanjutnya terutama yang tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian pada bidang yang sama. Namun, disarankan untuk peneliti selanjutnya untuk menggunakan teori lain dari tindakan ilokusi, sehingga akan menghasilkan hal yang berbeda. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
