Re-inventing the East: the interpretation of Eastern Architecture in Venetian Renaissance painting
La presente dissertazione dottorale si occupa di indagare i rapporti esistenti fra Venezia e l'Oriente nella pittura veneziana rinascimentale. Nel primo capitolo, Venezia e l’Oriente vengono analizzati nel contesto dei legami storici fra essi esistenti, poiché il problema del “proprio-altro da sé” è riflesso nella realtà della vita veneziana del Medioevo e del Rinascimento. Vengono analizzate in modo più ampio e dettagliato le tappe e le modalità con cui i veneziani (non soltanto soldati, mercanti, viaggiatori, ma anche colti intellettuali e artisti) entravano in contatto con le manifestazioni concrete della cultura orientale. Grande rilievo è dedicato alle fasi di penetrazione dell’influenza orientale nella struttura architettonica della città, che per tale motivo è stata associata al concetto di Oriente. Questo, a sua volta, pone il problema di come si debbano intendere le raffigurazioni, per esempio del simbolo di Venezia – la cattedrale di San Marco – nei cicli dei pittori veneziani del Rinascimento. Lo studio diretto delle forme concrete permette di scoprire la specificità dell’atteggiamento verso l’Oriente, tipico della mentalità artistica veneziana. Grande attenzione è riservata all’interpretazione statale delle varie forme dell’Oriente in diversi periodi come base dei programmi pittorici. Il secondo capitolo contiene l’analisi dei motivi architettonici nella rappresentazione dei loci biblici nelle tele dei pittori rinascimentali veneziani. È qui offerta una breve panoramica e un’analisi tipologica e si spiega il significato dei motivi architettonici nella pittura veneziana del Rinascimento. Viene preso in esame l’insieme di rappresentazioni idealizzate e talvolta fantastiche dei pittori veneziani del Rinascimento sia riguardo all’architettura degli antichi sia in generale alle forme architettoniche sacre, comprese ovviamente quelle esistenti nell’area orientale. Seguendo i metodi iconografici e iconologici, la tesi tenta di ricostruire il pensiero artistico dei pittori veneziani del tempo (Cima da Conegliano, Bellini, Mantegna, Carpaccio, Crivelli, Previtali, Bastiani, Moretto, Lotto, Tiziano, Bassano, Veronese, Tintoretto), i motivi e i reali scopi della creazione per loro di programmi da parte dei committenti. Nel terzo capitolo per la prima volta si tenta di dare una rassegna completa e di proporre un’analisi comparativa della rappresentazione dell’architettura di Gerusalemme nelle tele del Quattrocento e del Cinquecento. Domina in questo contesto la letteratura che prende in considerazione il legame fra Venezia e Roma oppure Venezia e Costantinopoli. Sull’esempio della rappresentazione dell’architettura di Gerusalemme nelle tele di Mantegna, Carpaccio, Bellini, Cima, Tiziano, Tintoretto e molti altri, si determina la graduale penetrazione di motivi antichizzanti, che rappresentano il trionfo delle idee del Rinascimento. L’architettura nelle tele dei pittori veneziani del Rinascimento dedicate ai cicli sulle vite dei santi è l’oggetto del quarto capitolo, dove vengono prese in analisi le fonti visive e scritte e i programmi di rappresentazione. Vengono inoltre analizzati i fondamenti storici e pittorico-figurativi dei motivi presenti nelle tele dedicate a San Marco (di Mansueti, Bellini, Tintoretto e altri). Una grande quantità di materiale per l’analisi dell’architettura “orientale” si trova anche nelle composizioni che rappresentano i cicli della vita di san Giorgio e san Trifone (di Carpaccio) e altri. Infine nel capitolo conclusivo viene proposta un’analisi dettagliata della ricezione artistica e storica delle opere «L’accoglienza degli ambasciatori veneziani in una città orientale» (Louvre) e «L’arrivo del futuro doge Alvise II Mocenigo come ambasciatore a Costantinopoli» ” di Antonio Stroma (Museo di Palazzo Moccenigo a San Stae). The syntax of Moroccan Arabic/French and Moroccan Arabic/Standard Arabic code switching.
Contact between different speech communities represents one breeding ground for change and accommodation which can affect the forms as well as the functions of language. Code switching (CS), as one result of this contact situation, is an important site to display the dominance of one language over another, or to witness the resolve of a speech community to incorporate another language so as to satisfy their needs, be them syntactic, lexical or pragmatic. The aim of this thesis is to trace down the formal manifestations of this type of language negotiation whereby switching occurs between two or more languages. It will be shown that, in a CS situation, collision of languages is highly regularised by specific syntactic features. A number of different models to CS structural constraints are considered, and one particular approach based on the analysis of selectional properties of the functional heads is advocated; this I will call the Functional Parameter Constraint (FPC). The underlying assumption of the FPC, which owes it theoretical motivation to recent syntactic research (e. g. Abney 1986, Ouhalla 1991, Chomsky 1995), is that interlanguage parameters, as opposed to language universals, constrain CS. Parameters are restricted to the features of functional categories given that their lexical counterparts are conceptually selected entries which are drawn from an invariant universal vocabulary, and therefore, are not to be parameterised (Chomsky 1995). Following Ouhalla (1991), three selectional properties for which functional categories can be parameterised cross-linguistically are identified, namely c-selection, m-selection and grammatical features. A corpus consisting of naturally occurring data was gathered to test the empirical validity of the hypothesis set for the study. Incorporating AI Tool Along with Traditional Method for Speaking Assessment
This work focused on incorporating AI tool with traditional method for speaking assessment. The descriptive qualitative has been implemented to complete this research. Problem encountered during English pronunciation was failing to distinguish between short vowel and long vowel. By employing traditional and AI tool, students got numerous benefits. They may enjoy learning with the flexibility of time and they also can engage face to face interaction while using traditional method furthermore, it is essential to acknowledge AI tool with the limitation and drawbacks. AI tool do not give the same stage of personal interconnection and on-going response as a human facilitator
Research and application of mining AI video edge computing technology
Currently, mining AI video systems mainly rely on ground servers for analysis and processing, which leads to issues such as high overall response latency, multi-system linkage delays, and high network bandwidth utilization. To address these issues, a lightweight and edge-deployable mining AI video edge computing system was designed. A lightweight software development kit (SDK) framework based on the register machine was proposed to decouple operators, improving the parallel computing ability of the algorithms and reducing the storage requirements of the SDK. Grouping design of YOLOv7 convolution operation was conducted, and the Focus backbone network was optimized using identity mapping to reduce computation amount and streamline the network structure. Additionally, the attention mechanism from Transformer was incorporated to improve detection performance. The mining AI video server was developed by integrating the domestic intelligent chips and 5G communication modules, enabling the deployment and calculation of mine edge nodes. The experimental results showed that the mining AI video edge computing system had excellent response. After deploying the registration machine SDK and optimizing the YOLOv7 model, the average inference latency was 28 ms, 52% and 44% lower than that of React Native+YOLOv7 and MobileNet, respectively. Under various load conditions, the response latency of the mining AI video server was significantly lower than the minimum requirements for mine operation. The field industrial test results showed that when the mining AI video server was connected to an 8-channel camera, the response latency was 51 ms, and the bandwidth was maintained at 45 Mbit/s. Compared to using a ground server, the response latency was reduced by 59%, and the bandwidth increased by 15%. This enabled real-time and on-site analysis and processing of underground video data, effectively reducing the data transmission delay and improving the response rate and processing efficiency of video analysis

Sexual minority youth, such as youth that identifies as lesbian or gay, often face many specific issues related to their sexual orientation that require institutional support and services, yet little is known about their experiences receiving support and using services. This research aims to explore the institutional support and services experiences of lesbian and gay youth. A qualitative method is used to analyze the experiences of lesbian and gay youth age 16 to 25, who received support or used services either from educational institutions or lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and other non-heterosexual and gender-diverse support organizations. Their stories reveal that various factors influence how they perceive the effectiveness of the support and services. This research offers insight into how school staff can provide effective support and services that meet the needs of sexual minority youth. The Application of AI in Smart Bridges
With the in-depth implementation of the "Transportation Power" strategy and the explosive development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, smart bridges, as the core carrier for the intelligent upgrading of transportation infrastructure, are undergoing a paradigm shift from traditional engineering models to "data-driven + intelligent decision-making". This paper systematically expounds on the application foundation of AI technology in the field of smart bridges, analyzes four full-life-cycle scenarios including design, construction, operation and maintenance, and disaster emergency response. Combined with typical cases such as the AI-assisted beam replacement project at Keqiao Station of Shaoxing Intercity Railway, it reveals the core value of AI technology in improving the accuracy, efficiency and safety of bridge engineering. Meanwhile, it analyzes current challenges in technology application such as data silos and algorithm reliability, and looks forward to the development direction of in-depth integration of multimodal large models and digital twins, providing references for technological innovation and engineering practice of smart bridges.
The Growing Role of Artificial Intelligence in Tomorrow's Urban Hydrological Infrastructure
Urban hydrological infrastructure is vital for sustainable water management in cities, yet it faces significant challenges from climate change, rapid urbanization, and aging infrastructure. These challenges exacerbate water scarcity, increase flood risks, and strain existing infrastructure, underscoring the urgent need for innovative and adaptive solutions. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative tool, offering advanced capabilities in predictive maintenance, flood risk modeling, water quality monitoring, and urban planning. This study aims to explore AI's growing role in managing urban hydrological infrastructure. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing a systematic review and bibliometric analysis to synthesize knowledge and identify trends in the field. Scopus was selected as the primary database due to its extensive coverage of multidisciplinary research. Keywords such as "urban hydrology," "artificial intelligence," "machine learning," "water management," "extreme events," and "flood prediction" were used, yielding a dataset of 2,098 relevant documents. The analysis identified five primary clusters of AI applications within urban hydrological infrastructure. These include AI in flood prediction and early warning systems, AI in urban water demand forecasting, AI in real-time water quality monitoring, AI in optimization of stormwater management systems, and AI in urban flood risk assessment and mapping. The originality of this research lies in its explorative analysis of AI's role in enhancing the efficiency, resilience, and sustainability of urban water systems. Furthermore, it offers practical insights for policymakers, engineers, and urban planners, paving the way for integrating cutting-edge technologies into urban water management. This study also contributes to the growing discourse on sustainable urban development, demonstrating how AI can revolutionize hydrological infrastructure to meet the demands of an increasingly complex and dynamic world

Akhlaq sangatlah penting bagi manusia. Pentingnya akhlaq ini tidak saja dirasakan oleh manusia dalam kehidupan perseorangan, tetapi juga dalam kehidupan berkeluarga dan bermasyarakat, bahkan tidak kurang-kurangnya juga dirasakan dalam kehidupan berbangsa, atau bernegara. Salah satu tugas guru (Aqidah Akhlaq) disekolah adalah bagaimana membina dan mendidik siswanya melalui pembelajaran (materi) Aqidah Akhlaq agar dapat membina akhlaq para siswa sehingga dapat dipraktekkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
Guru Aqidah akhlaq adalah guru yang mengajarkan tentang kepercayaan atau keyakinan serta mengajarkan tentang budi pekerti, etika dan moral. Salah satu tugas guru (Aqidah Akhlaq) disekolah adalah bagaimana membina dan mendidik siswanya melalui pembelajaran (materi) Aqidah Akhlaq agar dapat membina akhlaq para siswa sehingga dapat dipraktekkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pada kenyataan dilapangan, usaha-usaha pembinaan akhlaq melalui berbagai lembaga pendidikan dan melalui berbagai macam metode terus dikembangkan. Ini menunjukkan bahwa akhlaq memang perlu dibina, dan pembinaan ini ternyata membawa hasil berupa terbentuknya pribadi- pribadi muslim yang berakhlaq mulia, taat kepada Allah dan Rasul-Nya, hormat kepada ibu bapak, sayang kepada sesama makhluk Tuhan dan seterusnya. Sebaliknya keadaan sebaliknya juga menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak yang tidak dibina akhlaqnya, atau dibiarkan tanpa bimbingan, arahan dan pendidikan, ternyata menjadi anak-anak yang nakal, menganggu masyarakat, melakukan berbagai perbuatan tercela dan seterusnya. Ini menunjukkan bahwa akhlaq memang perlu dibina. Dari latar belakang itulah penulis kemudian ingin membahasnya dalam skripsi dan mengambil judul Upaya Guru Aqidah Akhlaq dalam Pembinaan Akhlaqul Karimah siswa MAN Malang II di Kota Batu.
Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya guru aqidah akhlaq dalam pembinaan akhlaqul karimah siswa MAN Malang II di Kota Batu, untuk mengetahui kendala yang dihadapi guru aqidah akhlaq dalam pembinaan akhlaqul karimah siswa MAN Malang II di Kota Batu, serta untuk mengetahui solusi terhadap kendala guru aqidah akhlaq dalam pembinaan akhlaqul karimah siswa MAN Malang II di Kota Batu.
Penelitian yang penulis lakukan ini termasuk dalam penelitian deskriptif kualitatif.Dalam proses pengumpulan data penulis menggunakan metode interview dan dokumentasi, sedangkan untuk analisisnya, penulis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan dengan menggambarkan data yang diperoleh dengan kata-kata atau kalimat yang dipisahkan untuk kategori untuk memperoleh kesimpulan.
Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan penulis dapat disimpulkan bahwa Dari hasil paparan data di atas, bahwasanya upaya guru akidak akhlaq dalam pembinaan akhlaqul karimah siswa melalui dua macam kegiatan, yaitu melaui pendidikan di dalam kelas dan melalui kegiatan yang di tetapkan di sekolah. Adapun bentuk kegiatan pendidikan di
dalam kelas adalah keteladanan dan berdoa sebelum dan sesudah pelajaran. Bentuk kegiatan yang ditentukan sekolah adalah kegiatan sholat dhuha, kegiatan sholat dhuhur,.infaq atau shodaqoh dan life skill. Dalam pembinaan akhlaqul karimah guru aqidah akhlaq juga menemui beberapa kendala diantaranya sebagai berikut: faktor dalam diri siswa, faktor keluarga dan faktor lingkungan (pergaulan). Guru aqidah akhlaq mempunyai solusi terhadap kendala dalam pembinaan akhlaqul karimah siswa, diantaranya yaitu guru aqidah akhlaq menjalin kerjasama dengan guru lain dan guru aqidah akhlaq menjalin kerjasama dengan orang tua siswa.

Akhlaq is very important for humans. The importance of morality is not just felt by the human individual, but also in family life and society, not even the less well-perceived lack of national life, or a state. One of the tasks of teachers (Aqidah Akhlaq) in school is how to nurture and educate their students through learning (materials) Aqidah Akhlaq for to nurture students so that morality can be practiced in everyday life.
Aqidah Teachers are teachers who teach the morality of trust or confidence and teach about character, ethics and morals. One of the tasks of teachers (Aqidah Akhlaq) in school is how to nurture and educate their students through learning (materials) Aqidah Akhlaq for to nurture students so that morality can be practiced in everyday life. In fact the field, coaching efforts morality through various educational institutions and through various methods being developed. This implies that morality really need to be fostered, and this guidance was to bring the results of the formation of Muslim individuals who berakhlaq noble, obedient to Allah and His Messenger, respect for father and mother, dear to his fellow creatures of God and so on. Instead the opposite situation also shows that children who are not fostered akhlaqnya, or left without guidance, direction and education, it turns into a naughty child, disrupting the community, perform a variety of moral turpitude and so on. This implies that morality really need to be fostered. From the background of that author and then want to discuss it in the paper and took the title of Master Efforts Aqidah Akhlaq in Building Akhlaqul Karimah students MAN II in Batu Malang.
The purpose of this research is to know Aqeedah morality teacher effort in coaching students akhlaqul karimah MAN II in Batu Malang, to find out the
constraints faced by teachers in coaching akhlaqul aqidah morality karimah students MAN II in Batu Malang, and to find solutions to the constraints of teachers aqeedah morality in coaching students akhlaqul karimah MAN II in Batu Malang.
Research conducted by the author is included in the descriptive study kualitatif.Dalam process of data collection methods the author uses interviews and documentation, while for the analysis, the authors used a qualitative descriptive analysis technique, the research done by describing the data obtained by the words or phrases separated for the category to obtain conclusions.
Results of research conducted authors concluded that exposure From the above data, that the efforts of teachers in guiding moral akidak akhlaqul karimah students via two kinds of activities, namely through education in the classroom and through activities which is set at school. The form of educational activities in the classroom is exemplary and pray before and after lessons. Form of activity that determined the school was Duha prayer activities, events dhuhur,. Infaq or shodaqoh and life skill. In coaching akhlaqul karimah aqidah teacher morality also encountered several problems including the following: factors in self-esteem, family factors and environmental factors (association). Teacher aqidah morality have a solution to the problem in the guidance akhlaqul karimah students, among which teachers collaborate with morality aqeedah other teachers and teachers' morality aqidah cooperating with parents
