Kuasa Tamatkan Darurat Di Bawah Jawatankuasa Khas Bebas 2021 – Prof Madya Datuk Dr Wan Ahmad Fauzi

Query by low-quality image
The motivation for research on low-quality images comes from a requirement by some museums to respond to queries for pictorial information, submitted in the form of fax messages or other low-quality monochrome images of works of art. The museums have databases of high-resolution images of their artefact collections and the person submitting the query is asking typically whether the museum holds the artwork shown or perhaps some similar work. Often the query image will have no associated metadata and will be produced from a low-resolution picture of the original artwork. The resulting poor quality image, received by the museum, leads to very poor retrieval accuracy when the fax is used in standard query by example searches using, for example, colour, spatial colour or texture matching algorithms. We propose a special retrieval algorithm in order to improve the retrieval accuracy in query by low-quality image application and evaluate it in comparison with more conventional algorithms. Throughout this paper, fax images will be used as the main source of low-quality image for query by low-quality image experiments. Nonetheless, some other forms of low-quality image will also be considered
Block-based Against Segmentation-based Texture Image Retrieval
This paper concerns the best approach to the capture of local texture features for use in content-based image retrieval (CBIR) applications. From our previous work, two approaches have been suggested, the multiscale block-based approach and the automatic texture segmentation approach. Performance comparison as well as advantages and disadvantages of the two methods are presented in this paper. The databases used are the Brodatz and VisTex databases, as well as three museum image collections of various sizes and contents, with each collection presenting different challenges to the CBIR systems. Experimental observations suggest that the two approaches both perform well, with the multiscale technique having the edge in retrieval performance and scale invariance, while the segmentation technique has the edge in lighter computational complexity as well as having the shape information for later purposes. The choice between the two approaches thus depends on application

Automatic texture segmentation for content-based image retrieval application
In this article, a brief review on texture segmentation is presented, before a novel automatic texture segmentation algorithm is developed. The algorithm is based on a modified discrete wavelet frames and the mean shift algorithm. The proposed technique is tested on a range of textured images including composite texture images, synthetic texture images, real scene images as well as our main source of images, the museum images of various kinds. An extension to the automatic texture segmentation, a texture identifier is also introduced for integration into a retrieval system, providing an excellent approach to content-based image retrieval using texture features

Kunshan Aoshida Electric Technology Co.., Ltd / Ahmad Fariduddin Ahmad Fauzi
Kunshan Aoshida Electric Technology Co., Ltd is a company that develop and produce the electric wheelchair for the disable person. This company has various type of electric wheelchair pattern that produce by their R&D department for the market. However, by doing the SWOT analysis, this company product strength, weakness, opportunities and threats are determined and by doing some research and analysis, the ways to overcome the product problems can be implemented in order to producing my own product. The first problem of their product is the height of the wheelchair cannot be adjusted. The user of the wheelchair will have problem when they want to reach something that is higher than their height. Apart from that, when the wheelchair height cannot be adjusted, the person such as nurse that help the wheelchair users to in and out of the wheelchair will has experience of the back pain. The next problem identified is the battery take longer time to charge. It is estimated that an electric wheelchair needs about 8 hours for the optimum charge. It is very problematic when the disable person who use the wheelchair at outside of their house when the battery is running out. By doing some innovation and Research & Development, the new electric wheelchair can be produced as my own product. The wheelchair will equip with the button that can use to adjust the wheelchair seat height. The frame of the wheelchair can equip with the electric system to adjust the height by using the controller button according to the user needed and situation. Apart from that, the electric wheelchair also be install with the small size of solar panel. After the wheelchair run out of battery, the solar panel will take place the battery and generate the electric for the wheelchair power in the emergency cases to make sure that the electric wheelchair can still can be use before it need to recharge the battery back when at home. With this new innovation and upgraded, the new electric wheelchair produce by my company can challenge other company in the same market because of its capability and widely range facilities that meet users requirement nowadays
