No full textNell’ambito specifico della psicoterapia relazionale-sistemica, il setting consiste nell’insieme di elementi e di regole, proposte dal terapeuta e condivise con famiglie e/o individui, che definiscono e delimitano un sistema complesso di relazioni, che viene denominato sistema terapeutico.
In base a tali regole e a specifici obiettivi, concordati per reciproco consenso e solitamente formalizzati in un esplicito contratto, si determinano peculiari modalità di incontro e di relazione, all’interno di un determinato ambito spazio-temporale.
La definizione di queste regole e il rispetto dei limiti da esse stabiliti da parte di tutti i partecipanti, garantisce il mantenimento del setting e del valore terapeutico della relazione. Al contrario, il loro mancato rispetto, se avviene in forma significativa e perdura nel tempo, può produrre la perdita della qualità terapeutica della relazione

No full textIl Setting è lo “scenario” in cui si svolge la psicoterapia, l’ambito in cui vengono scritte e riscritte le storie terapeutiche. Formalmente il setting può essere definito come l’insieme degli elementi, precostituiti dal terapeuta in base al proprio orientamento, che contribuiscono alla strutturazione di una relazione di tipo terapeutico, del processo a cui tale relazione dà vita e, quindi, alle regole che la rendono possibile, la definiscono e la organizzano.
Il presente volume racchiude i contributi di alcuni tra i più autorevoli esponenti delle diverse forme di psicoterapia, i quali riflettono sul tema del setting, ciascuno dal proprio punto di vista, tenuto conto dell’approccio di riferimento e, soprattutto dell’esperienza acquisita sul campo.
Agli autori sono stati proposti quesiti impegnativi che giungono al cuore della posizione clinica ed etica del terapeuta, esplorando tematiche delicate e cruciali che vanno dalle limitazioni della relazione terapeutica alla libertà di espressione emotiva all’interno del contesto terapeutico.
Nel volume sono rappresentati gli orientamenti psicoterapeutici più diffusi, ed il lettore ne ricaverà una panoramica ampia, se non esaustiva, della pratica psicoterapica in Italia.
La parte teorica è arricchita da riferimenti ad esemplificazioni cliniche e dalla esposizione di casi clinici. Questa duplice struttura rende il libro utile a coloro che hanno necessità di chiarirsi le idee sulle regole e sul contesto in cui avviene la cura psicoterapeutica. D’altra parte il libro si apre al professionista che, come spesso avviene, può incontrare sul suo percorso ostacoli imprevisti e difficoltà a mantenere il setting nei limiti delle regole prestabilite. Inoltre, chi opera nel settore della psicoterapia può trovare utili indicazioni su come comportarsi in presenza di violazioni del setting che potrebbero compromettere il suo lavoro, e su come ristabilire un setting adeguato quando la relazione terapeutica tende a scivolare prevalentemente al di fuori delle righe.
Infine, grazie ad una costruzione agile e concreta, si offre come ausilio a chi inizia o sta per iniziare l’attività di psicoterapeuta, e prima di affrontare questo difficile impegno intende documentarsi sull’ampio scenario delle psicoterapie esistenti e riflettere sulle determinanti problematiche del setting e della relazione con il paziente

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
