No full text45 p.Online learning tools are a great alternative to support teaching at all levels of education. In particular, these virtual resources are indispensable for the teaching of technology in basic and secondary education. Unfortunately, not all institutions in the country are well equipped with networks, computers and virtual platforms that facilitate the integration of these technologies into education. This is the case of the Institución María Goretti in the city of Pasto, where the author guides the technology courses from the first to the fifth grade, and where there are difficulties in applying these tools due to lack of infrastructure and limited hourly intensity. This report presents the implementation of a portable embedded learning management system in which courses with virtual tools were developed to support the teaching of technology in the fourth and fifth grades at the María Goretti Institution.
The courses were developed with the eXeLearning tool and implemented in an i3LAP device. The courses developed provide several attractive and pedagogical elements that support teaching and improve the understanding of the content, among them is a pedagogical structure based on an instructional model, integration of images, videos, and relevant questionnaires to support the topics, verify learning and indentify improvement opportunities. The technology used allows the implementation of online learning resources in institutions without Internet coverage or with limited infrastructure.Las herramientas de aprendizaje en línea son una gran alternativa para apoyar la enseñanza en todos los niveles de educación. Particularmente, estos recursos virtuales son indispensables para la enseñanza de tecnología en la educación básica y media. Infortunadamente, no todas las instituciones del país están bien dotadas de redes, computadores y plataformas virtuales que faciliten la integración de estas tecnologías a la enseñanza. Este es el caso de la Institución María Goretti en la ciudad de Pasto, donde el autor orienta los cursos de tecnología desde el grado primero hasta el quinto, y donde existen dificultades para aplicar estas herramientas por falta de infraestructura y una intensidad horaria limitada. El presente informe presenta la implementación de un sistema de gestión de aprendizaje embebido portable en el cual se desarrollaron cursos con herramientas virtuales para apoyar la enseñanza de tecnología de los grados cuarto y quinto de educación básica primaria en la Institución María Goretti.
Los cursos fueron desarrollados con la herramienta eXeLearning e implementados en un dispositivo i3LAP. Los cursos desarrollados aportan varios elementos atractivos y pedagógicos que apoyan la enseñanza y mejoran la comprensión del contenido, entre ellos está una estructura pedagógica basada en un modelo instruccional, integración de imágenes, videos, y cuestionarios pertinentes para apoyar las temáticas, verificar el aprendizaje e identificar oportunidades de mejora. No full textEl Hogar María Goretti (HMG), busca que las Niñas, Adolescentes y Jóvenes sigan las enseñanzas de María Goretti que es el ser fuertes ante situaciones difíciles, principio filosófico en el que se basa la presente propuesta de intervención, ya que el objetivo principal es “Fomentar la capacidad resiliente de las niñas y adolescentes del Hogar María Goretti de Cali, que han sido víctimas de violencia sexual, haciendo uso de las técnicas creativas”. Comprendiendo que el método de intervención estará orientado desde una mirada moderna, entendiendo las técnicas creativas como una posibilidad de cura, donde las niñas y adolescentes logren la expresión consciente e inconsciente de todas aquellas situaciones traumáticas que han vivenciado y que se les dificulta expresar verbalmente; la música, la expresión corporal, la danza, el dibujo, el Papelógrafo y la actuación teatral serán las herramientas terapéuticas que permitirán fomentar en ellas la capacidad resiliente, fortaleciendo su autoestima, la capacidad empática y la capacidad de logro.Este proyecto estará en convenio directo con la Fundación Mi Cuerpo es Mi Historia (MCMH), una fundación direccionada por la bailarina y psicóloga Martha Isabel Córdoba Arévalo, quien tiene la plena convicción de que las intervenciones desde las psicoterapias creativas y la danza terapéutica facilitan procesos de reparación y resignificación para aquellas personas que han sido vulneradas en sus derechos fundamentales.Introducción. -- 1. The new press bills in Uganda : implications for national communication policy and press freedom
No full textThis paper presents the government of Uganda's perspective of professionalization of journalism and the liberalisation of the media in the country. It is apologetic to the restrictions on the freedom of the press in Africa, for some unspecified conditions peculiar to African States. Some encouraging developments within the media industry, especially the liberalisation of the airwaves and the introduction of a degree course in journalism at the Makerere University, are discussed. However, the author mildly criticizes the suspect Media and Broadcast Councils whose composition are dominated by people handpicked by the Minister for Communications. The Media Council is empowered to license and discipline journalists and the media institutions. The question raised by many is whether the Councils are not merely a cathartic strategy by the government calculated to pacify an aggressive media that had started challenging the government's continued stronghold on the industry despite its claim that it's democratic. Whatever the case, as a watchdog in a democracy, the media's independence is critical. This is why the author is calling for a more comprehensive communication policy in Uganda. The paper raises questions over the wisdom of subjecting the Councils to the mercy of a government grant and some obscure "acceptable sources" for their cash, arguing that this will in the long run thoroughly compromise the independence of the two bodies. The paper raises the freedom of information provision, albeit with a grain of salt. It points out, for example, that the provision is contradicted by the Official Secrets Act, which make it difficult for government sources to divulge information to journalists. In conclusion, it ask the government to address the issue of media ownership in Uganda, using relevant statutes, with a view to making them accessible to the poor. To argue this case, the writer adopts the theoretical framework of the dependency theorists, who invites developing (periphery) countries to dissociate themselves culturally and economically from the developed (core) countries as the only means of achieving their true independence
Animating archaeology: local theories and conceptually open-ended methodologies
No full textAnimists’ theories of matter must be given equivalence at the level of theory if we are to understand adequately the nature of ontological difference in the past. The current model is of a natural ontological continuum that connects all cultures, grounding our culturally relativist worldviews in a common world. Indigenous peoples’ worlds are thought of as fascinating but ultimately mistaken ways of knowing the world. We demonstrate how ontologically oriented theorists Eduardo Viveiros de Castro, Karen Barad and Tim Ingold in conjuncture with an anti-representationalist methodology can provide the necessary conditions for alternative ontologies to emerge in archaeology. Desempenho de dois trechos de solo emulsão em vias de baixo volume de tráfego.
No full textPara a pavimentação de ruas e vias de pequena intensidade de tráfego, como em conjuntos habitacionais, pequenas comunidades, distritos e bairros periféricos, a pavimentação tradicional pode, em muitos casos, ter um custo que a torna inviável. Em contraposição, uma pavimentação alternativa como, por exemplo, com estabilização betuminosa, permite executar pavimento de baixo custo com uma estrutura que admita ser reforçada no futuro e representa uma proposta muito interessante. O avançado estágio atual dos estudos de solos ainda disponíveis para pavimentação só foi possível devido ao apoio institucional e permanente dos Departamentos de Estradas de Rodagens dos Estados brasileiros, de Fundações e Escolas de Engenharia. Foram fundamentais os estudos de muitos colegas e professores das referidas fundações e escolas de engenharia. Neste trabalho, são focados assuntos ligados ao desenvolvimento de aplicações práticas da estabilização betuminosa de solo. O objetivo principal deste estudo é fornecer um balanço da avaliação de desempenho de dois trechos de soloemulsão, realizados pelo autor da presente pesquisa em anos passados, e utilizar esta experiência para validar alguns ensaios mais recentes de dosagem e avaliação em laboratório da mistura de solo-emulsão. Esta dissertação apresenta e agrupa informações e considerações práticas de campo e realiza as análises da estabilização betuminosa do solo de um dos locais da aplicação, utilizando ensaios próprios da Mecânica dos Pavimentos não aplicados à época da implantação dos trechos. As observações de campo e os resultados de laboratório confirmam que a técnica de solo-emulsão aplicada em espessura pequena e revestida de tratamento superficial pode ser muito adequada para ruas e estradas vicinais de baixo volume de tráfego. Um solo NA’ pela classificação MCT, estabilizado com 3% de emulsão, numa espessura de 5cm, mostrouse adequado em termos de deflexão e de avaliação funcional após vários anos da implantação.For the paving of streets and avenues of small intensity traffic such as in housing sets, small communities, districts and neighborhoods, the traditional flooring can, in many cases, have a cost that makes it unfeasible. In contrast, alternative flooring, such as bituminous stabilized, allows you to perform low-cost deck with a structure that admits to be strengthened in the future and represents a very interesting proposal. The current stage of studies of land still available for paving was only possible due to permanent institutional support from Brazilian states Roads Departments, engineering foundations and schools. Studies of many colleagues and teachers from these engineering schools and foundations were fundamental. In this work, in which issues related to the development of practical applications of bituminous stabilized soil are addressed, the main objective is to provide an assessment of the performance evaluation of two solo-emulsion snippets, performed by the author of this survey in past years, and use this experience to validate some of the most recent tests and laboratory assessment dosage mixing soil-emulsion. This dissertation presents and groups information and practical field considerations, than performs analyses of bituminous stabilization of soil one of one of the locations of the application, using Paving Mechanical's own tests of floors not applied at the time of deployment of snippets. The field observations and lab results confirm that the technique of soil-emulsion applied on small thickness and coated with surface treatment can be very suitable for streets and roads of low traffic volume. An NA' soil, according to MCT, stabilized with 3% emulsion and thickness of 5 cm, was still appropriate in terms of functional evaluation and deflection after several years of construction
