No full textThis contribution analyzes the perceptions of professional operators and the economic and organizational impact resulting from the introduction of the Artist’s Resale Right in the Italian Art Market. The analysis discusses the results of a large survey (carried out by means of a questionnaire) focused on the most important Italian art auction houses and art galleries. For comparative reasons, the questionnaire has been also submitted to prominent European auction houses. The results of the questionnaire have been analyzed by adopting a “conventional Delphi” methodology

No full textDopo quattro anni di applicazione, la valutazione dell’impatto del Diritto di seguito (DDS) sul mercato dell’arte risulta alquanto difficoltosa. Si potrebbe ritenere che una valutazione quantitativa possa dirimere la questione, chiarendo gli effetti concreti del DDS. Tuttavia, una stima oggettiva risulta quanto mai complicata a causa sia della difficoltà esistente nell’individuare e isolare l’autonomo andamento del mercato dagli effetti esercitati dal DDS, sia del regime ancora transitorio (e quindi suscettibile di modifiche) del DDS a livello comunitario. Pertanto in questo lavoro si è ritenuto più utile identificare in primis le percezioni degli operatori professionali, italiani e internazionali riguardo la giustificazione e l’impatto del DDS. Tali risultati pur avendo natura, in linea di principio, qualitativa e soggettiva permettono tuttavia di comprendere il modo in cui il DDS è stato accolto nel mercato dell’arte italiano e consentono di valutare l’impatto che i dealer professionali hanno percepito sulle compravendite di opere d’arte visiva

No full textQuesto lavoro analizza empiricamente il meccanismo di apprendimento degli studenti universitari, offrendo un quadro dei modi di studio e degli strumenti utilizzati, non sempre in modo appropriato dal punto di vista sostanziale e legale. Infatti, i recenti sviluppi dell’ICT hanno permesso la digitalizzazione dei contenuti, facilitandone la diffusione e la trasmissione, accrescendone la portabilità, migliorando i processi di ricerca dei contenuti, che si caratterizzano per la crescente flessibilità, replicabilità e divisibilità. Il mercato dei contenuti al momento è, quindi, da un lato estremamente frammentato e segmentato e, dall’altro lato, in continua trasformazione, con il permanere di atteggiamenti tradizionali, in cui il libro di testo è ancora l’elemento centrale del processo di apprendimento. Inoltre, il processo di fruizione dei contenuti non è solo ed esclusivamente individuale ma passa attraverso l’influenza del gruppo dei pari. Questi elementi hanno importanti effetti sui meccanismi di apprendimento a livello universitario e sulle performance degli studenti. Da questa analisi empirica è possibile trarre interessanti indicazioni rivolte ai singoli docenti ed ai responsabili della definizione dell’architettura dei percorsi formativi, le minacce e le opportunità del sistema universitario, i punti di forza da rafforzare e di debolezze da contrastare

No full textThe L. 85/95 requires the professional visual art market operators, the galleries among them, to implement the so called "margin scheme" in order not to disclose the amount of VAT separately from the overall price. This scheme recognizes and protects the privacy of the operator about its own commercial policy. However, the implementation of the DL 118/2006, which introduced the Artists' Resale Right (ARR), requires the dissemination of private information protected since 1995. Emerges therefore a form of inconsistency between these two set of rules, which does not contribute to the transparency of the visual art market. An investigation based on the SIAE ARR data provides an empirical support of the effect of these inconsistencie
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
