La storia dell'uomo scritta nel suo DNA
No full textDentro ognuno di noi è scritta una storia che aspetta solo di essere decifrata e raccontata. Il DNA, infatti, oltre a svolgere funzioni fondamentali per la sopravvivenza degli esseri viventi, può essere visto anche come un libro che racchiude la nostra storia, l’evoluzione della nostra specie e il cammino che essa ha percorso, partendo dall’Africa e colonizzando gli angoli più remoti del pianeta. Ma non solo. Camminando a ritroso nel passato, il DNA permette di ricavare informazioni che possono far luce su avvenimenti che hanno segnato la storia dell’uomo e documentare quindi chi erano e come vivevano i nostri antenati, le malattie di cui soffrivano, arrivando perfino a ricostruirne alcuni caratteri somatici.
Il DNA ha contribuito a chiarire aspetti chiave dell'evoluzione dell'uomo come ad esempio la disputa sulla posizione filetica dell'uomo di Neandertal nell’albero evolutivo umano.
Oppure ha consentito di indagare l'origine e la diffusione delle malattie e l'evoluzione dei patogeni nel tempo e nello spazio per poter capire meglio la loro attuale situazione quella futura.
Leggere dunque la storia dell’uomo scritta nel suo DNA guardando al presente e al futuro: questo l’obiettivo affascinante e la sfida che ha davanti la ricerca sull’evoluzione del genoma umano

No full textDiese Arbeit befasst sich mit den Grafen von Cilli. Die Grafen von Cilli stehen exemplarisch für ein soziales Phänomen des Spätmittelalters. Denn in dieser Zeit gelang es zahlreichen Adelsfamilien niederer Herkunft in der Hierarchie aufzusteigen. Den Grafen von Cilli erging es ähnlich, in nur wenigen Generationen gelang es ihnen aus dem niedren Adel in die Höchstliga des europäischen Hochadels aufzusteigen. Am Höhepunkt ihrer Macht waren die Cilli mit mehreren Königen verwandt. So groß die Bedeutung zu ihren Lebzeiten auch war, so sehr wurden sie von der Geschichtsforschung vernachlässigt. Zu diesem Thema gibt es kaum Arbeiten. Sollten die Cillis doch einmal Erwähnung finden, wird meist ein negatives Bild gezeichnet.
Diese Arbeit versucht daher eine objektive Gesamtdarstellung der Grafen von Cilli zu [...].This work deals with the Counts of Cilli. The Counts of Cilli exemplify a social phenomenon of the late Middle Ages, because in this time numerous aristocratic families of low origin rose up in the hierarchy. The Counts of Cilli fared similarly. in just a few generations they managed to rise from the lower nobility into the top league of the European aristocracy. At the height of their power, the Cilli were related to several kings. As great as their meaning was in their lifetime, they were neglected by historical research. There is hardly any work on this topic. If the Cillis are ever mentioned, a negative image is usually drawn.
This work therefore attempts to provide an objective overview of the Counts of Cilli and to investigate the question of why research only sparsely treats the counts of Cilli

No full textIl lupo ha da sempre rappresentato una specie fiera, misteriosa ed elusiva, capace di colpire l’immaginazione dell’uomo fin dall’epoca più remota. Nelle
varie culture del mondo ha trovato posto come protagonista importante di fiabe, leggende e miti, suscitando visioni completamente opposte a seconda
del contesto, le quali spaziano dalla mistica venerazione fino all’atavica paura, ma sempre caratterizzate da un’interazione complessa con l’uomo. Pochi animali infatti esemplificano il rapporto contrastato tra la società e la natura come il lupo.
Dal punto di vista ecologico invece, questa specie riveste un importante ruolo come predatore all’apice della catena alimentare con effetto top-down sull’equilibrio degli ecosistemi. Nonostante questo ruolo fondamentale, in molte realtà sta ancora scontando i retaggi di antichi pregiudizi culturali, che lo figurano come una minaccia per l’uomo ed il resto della fauna, specialmente domestica

No full textThe incomplete reform of local authorities (Law 56/2014), identifiable with the whole Delrio’s project, by now completely unworkable, other than inadequate under a variety of aspects, has not delineated new and effective models of governance, useful in terms of representation, care and management of strategic issues at the scale of Area Vasta. The reform has not restructured the form of government of intermediate authorities, nor has it defined, from a spatial and a functional perspective, their appropriate ‘pertinent dimension’. In addition, the reform has reiterated the choice of the Metropolitan Cities operated in 1990, hastily assimilating their borders to those of the provinces, confirming the highly unbalanced territorial situations and denying the metropolitan representativeness to some cities with functional supra-regional rank. Under this last condition is the conurbation of Pescara-Chieti, which is presented here as a case study
