    After quanlity control, this experimental population consists of 942 young Simmental bulls born between 2008 and 2011, which are originated from Ulgai, Xilingol league, Inner Mongolia of China. After weaning, the cattle were moved to Beijing Jinweifuren cattle farm and were fattened under the same feeding and management environment. Each individual was timely observed for growth and development traits until slaughtered from 16 to 18 months old. During the period of slaughter, carcass traits and meat quality traits were measured according to Institutional Meat Purchase Specifications for fresh beef guidelines

    abstract: A new student organization called the 942 Crew was started in 2012 as an extension of the Student Initiative to increase student attendance and the in game atmosphere at Sun Devil men's basketball games. The new organization is part of Sun Devil Athletics and is full of students of all ages and backgrounds. In being part of Sun Devil Athletics, the 942 Crew has the financial support as well as resources to achieve the goals of increasing student attendance and improving the in game atmosphere for students, fans, and players. I have been a member of the 942 Crew for four of its five years on campus, and have seen and been a part of the changes brought to Sun Devil Athletics because of the organization. Through new marketing techniques that include a peer-to-peer aspect Sun Devil Athletics did not have before, the revolutionary Curtain of Distraction, and the support of the athletic department, the 942 Crew has been able to nearly double the average student attendance from the 2012-2013 season to the 2015-2016 season. With average student attendance growing from 455.06 students a game in 2012-2013 to 881.41 in 2015-2016, a new era of Sun Devil Athletics has begun in which a student organization and administration work together to create a more consistent level of higher student attendance. Aside from men's basketball, the 942 Crew has also changed the student ticketing of football games through the emergence of Camp Fargo and broken student attendance records at both men's and women's sports across the university

    Glacioeustatic- and temperature-corrected planktonic foraminiferal oxygen isotope (dd18O) records from ODP Site 942 on the Amazon Fan provide a means of monitoring past changes in the outflow of the Amazon River. This study focuses on the last deglaciation and reveals that during this period there were significant variations in the outflow, which implies large changes in moisture availability in the Amazon Basin. Aridity in the Amazon Basin seems to occur between 20.5 ka (calendar) to 17.0 ka and 13.6 ka to 11 ka. The second arid period correlates with the start of the Antarctic Cold Reversal and aridity continues throughout the Younger Dryas period. We find that the large-scale trends in Amazon River outflow are dissimilar to high-latitude variability in either hemisphere. Instead high-resolution variations correlate with the d18O difference between Greenland and Antarctica ice core temperature records. This suggests a link between Hemispheric temperature gradients and moisture availability over the Amazon. Based on our results and previously published work we present a new testable 'dynamic boundary-monsoon intensity hypothesis', which suggests that tropical moisture is not a simple belt that moves north or south. Rather, the northern and southern boundaries of the South American Summer Monsoon (SASM) are independently dynamic and driven by temperature gradients within their individual hemispheres. The intensity of rainfall within the SASM, however, is driven by precessionally modulated insolation and the resultant convection strength. Combining these two influences produces the dynamic heterogenic changes in the moisture availability observed over tropical South America since the Last Glacial Maximum
