Dislodging Dichromate in Mine Slops Applying Flat Supplying Membrane Equipment Containing Carrier N235/7301
A novel flat supplying membrane equipment (FSME) with a sodium hydroxide solution and a mixture of N235/7301 and petroleum has been studied for dislodging dichromate (which can be expressed as Cr (VI) or Cr2O72−) from simulated mine slops. The FSME contained three parts: as a feeding cell, a reacting cell, and a supplying cell. The flat Kynoar membrane was inlaid in the middle of the reacting cell, using the mixed solutions of petroleum and sodium hydroxide, with Tri (octyl decyl) alkyl tertiary amine (N235/7301) as the carrier in the supplying cell and the mine slops with Cr (VI) as the feeding section. The impact parameters of pH and the other ion density in the feeding solutions, the voluminal ratio of petroleum to sodium hydroxide solution and N235/7301 concentration in the supplying solutions were investigated for the obtaining of the optimal technique parameters. It was found that the dislodging rate of Cr (VI) could reach 93.3% in 215 min when the concentration of carrier (N235/7301) was 0.20 mol/L, the voluminal ratio of petroleum and sodium hydroxide in the supplying cell was 1:1, the pH of the feeding section was 4.00, and the Cr (VI) cinit was 3.00 × 10−4 mol/L. The practicability and steadiness of FSME were gained through the exploration of Cr (VI) adsorption on the membrane surface
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Mineralogical and Petrographical Studies of the Yamato Meteorites, Yamato-7301(j), -7305(k), -7308(l) and -7303(m) from Antarctica
P(論文)In 1973,the 14th Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition party collected twelve meteoritic stones in the bare ice field near the Yamato Mountains, Antarctica. Four of the stones were named Yamato-7301,-7305,-7308 and -7303. Yamato-7301,-7305 and -7303 are ordinary chondrites and are classified respectively as H4,L5 and L5 chondrites, while Yamato-7308 is a howardite. Yamato-7301,-7305 and -7303 are composed chiefly of olivine ((Fo)_) and orthopyroxene ((En)_), with subordinate amounts of clinopyroxene, plagioclase and phosphate minerals. Opaque minerals, nickel-iron, troilite and chromite, are more abundant in Yamato-7301 than in Yamato-7305 and -7303. Yamato-7308 is composed mainly of pyroxene and plagioclase (anorthite), with olivine, silica minerals, opaque minerals and glassy material in minor amounts. The composition of orthopyroxene is variable ranging from (En)_ to (En)_, and also clinopyroxene varies considerably in composition. The result suggests that Yamato-7308 originated from the fractional crystallization of the parent magma of the achondrite.departmental bulletin pape
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Cosmic Ray Induced 53Mn in Yamato-7301(j), -7305(k) and -7304(m) Meteorites
P(論文)Cosmic ray-induced long-lived nuclide, ^(Mn) (t_=3.7×(10)^6y) has been determined by the neutron activation analysis in Yamato-7301 (j), -7305 (k), and -7304 (m) meteorites, and the contents were found to be 102±6,357±19 and 417±22dpm ^(Mn)/kg Fe respectively. The content found in Yamato-7304 is in good agreement with other chondrites, and the slightly lower value in Yamato-7305,which is also common in others, may be due to some minor effects. In contrast, the content of ^(Mn) in Yamato-7301 is remarkably low, lower than that of any other stone meteorites of relatively long exposure age so far studied. Several possible mechanisms are discussed to explain the puzzling ^(Mn) activity in Yamato-7301 : 1) Long terrestrial age of about 7 m. y., and the decay of ^(Mn). 2) Heavy preatomospheric shielding of more than 70cm, and low production rate of ^(Mn). 3) Multistage irradiation history, and undersaturation of ^(Mn). 4) A combined mechanism of the above two or three factors.departmental bulletin pape
