HIPPI-6400 technology dissemination
This report covers the technological aspects of High Performance Parallel Interface-6400 (HIPPI-6400), a forthcoming upgrade to the existing HIPPI protocol suite. The report concentrates on the technological advancements and situations that occur in a 6400 Megabit/s network and the solutions produced by the ANSI X3T11 committee. The first section of the report introduces HIPPI-6400 to familiarize the reader with basic concepts and lay groundwork for future sections. Section 2 analyzes the transmission control link- layer embedded in HIPPI-6400 hardware. Section 3 describes the Scheduled Transfer protocol and connection setup that allows the user to partake of the entire 6400 Mbit bandwidth; followed by Section 4 that describes the signaling interface. Section 5 provides an overview of switching requirements and constructs. Finally, Section 6 concludes the paper, describes works in progress, including simulation, and points to further reading

HIPPI-6400 -- a summary
HIPPI-6400, an emerging standard for LANs and system area networks (SANs), supports data rates of 6400 Mbit/s (800 MByte/s). HIPPI-6400 borrowed freely from ATM, Ethernet, and the original HIPPI. The HIPPI-6400 features and design choices are discussed
HIPPI-6400 -- Designing for speed
The emerging High Performance Parallel Interface 6400 Mbit/s interface (HIPPI-6400), is targeted as a local area network (LAN), or system area network (SAN), supporting data rates of 6400 Mbit/s (800 Mbyte/s). This is eight times the speed of Gigabit Ethernet. The features used, and the design choices made, for the data link and physical layers of HIPPI-6400, to achieve this unprecedented speed are the subject of this paper. HIPPI-6400 borrowed freely from other successful technologies such as ATM, Ethernet and the original HIPPI -- taking the best features of each and melding them with some new features. HIPPI-6400 is a cost effective reliable interconnect for distances up to 1 km; it intermixes large and small messages efficiently
Analysis of Account Dayfiles for the CDC 6400 Computer Under NOS
System performance evaluation is an on-going task for computer
system management personnel in order to fine-tune the system operations.
One of the evaluation aids that is readily available for the CDC 6400
computers is the job accounting dayfile maintained by the operating
system NOS. A set of three programs in FORTRAN has been developed
to analyze the dayfile with a view to evaluating the system performance.
Program PHASEl prepares the dayfile for analysis. Program
PHASE2 creates a job summary file with information on system resources
utilization by each job. Program PHASE3 analyzes the job summary
file by evaluating various parameters characterizing the system
workload and performance at regular time intervals. The results
are displayed in tabular and graphical forms. Test results from
the analysis of a limited number of dayfiles are discussed. ThesisMaster of Science (MSc

Область применения: в различных областях промышленного производства.The object of the study is the thermal part of the 6400 MW GRES.
The purpose of the work is the design of the thermal part of the GRES with a capacity of 6400 MW.
In the course of the work, calculations of the thermal circuit, calculation of auxiliary equipment were carried out.
As a result, a detailed thermal scheme of the 800 MW unit was designed, and the station equipment was selected.
Degree of implementation: the station project developed in the diploma can be applied in practice.
Scope of application: in various fields of industrial production
