Each array measures the expression level of 371,451 probes (average probe length 54.1 +/- 4.1 nt) tiled across the Lodderomyces elongisporus NRRL YB-4239 genome with a median spacing distance of 33 nt. During data processing, probes are filtered to include only those probes corresponding to annotated protein-coding genes

Zooming into the neutrino-associated blazar candidate J1718+4239
No full textThe radio quasar NVSS J171822+423948 (J1718+4239) was proposed to be the counterpart of the IceCube neutrino event IC-201221A. To reveal the nature of the source, we conducted new very long baseline interferometry observations of this blazar candidate with the Very Long Baseline Array. The observations were carried out in dual-band mode between 4 and 7 GHz. Archival radio data from the literature were also collected for comparison. Our analysis revealed highly variable Doppler-boosted radio emission of the source, with a compact structure at kiloparsec and parsec scales, a slightly inverted spectrum, and a maximum jet inclination angle of θ ≤ 5°. These results confirm that J1718+4239 is a blazar-type object
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

No full textA Hazchem Storage Facility is proposed at Section 4239, Hundred of Bagot. Section 4239, Hundred of Bagot is located at Hidden Valley adjacent to extensive mangrove areas of Bleesers Creek and Reichardt Creek in Frances Bay, Darwin Harbour. Section 4239 is proposed to be subdivided in future, with the proposed Hazchem Storage Facility to be built within a 4ha site in Section 4239. The areas adjacent to the proposed development area were also identified as being subject to seasonal pest problems from the salt marsh mosquito Ochlerotatus vigilax (Whelan et al 1994). Other mosquito species of potential significance in the proposed development area include Culex annulirostris and Coquillettidia xanthogaster (Whelan et al 1994). Ochlerotatus vigilax is a vector of Ross River virus (RRV) disease and Barmah Forest virus (BFV) disease, while Culex annulirostris is a vector of RRV, BFV, Murray Valley encephalitis virus (MVEV) disease and Kunjin virus (KUNV) disease. The numbers of these species of mosquitoes in this area indicated there are seasonal risks for mosquito borne disease transmission in the development area.
The Medical Entomology Branch (MEB) has been asked to identify any biting insect pest or potential human health problems in the development area, and provide advice on the magnitude of the problem. To do this MEB has referred to past biting insect investigations in the development area (Whelan et al 194), as well as examined the proposed plans for the potential of the development to create or exacerbate existing biting insect problems

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Perhaps the best of the four illustrations for GA is the last and smallest: the ant eats hot soup while a cooking pot in front of her steams away. The Monkey and Spectacles features particularly glasses suspended from the monkey's tail. FC has a fine flattering fox leaning into the tree below the crow. Elephant and Pug finishes with a proud pug walking away. Crane, Pike, and Crab is presented in usual fashion in a full-page illustration, but at the end of the short fable we see a wagon leaning downhill without anyone pulling it up. FG also contrasts a full-page illustration of the fox looking up with a smaller illustration of a wasp landing easily on some grapes in a bowl. In the last fable, a pigeon is laughing at a caged bullfinch when his own legs are caught in a snare.
