Get PDFThis article focuses on changes in the forms of government lottery issuance in relation to the Thai economy from 1933 to 1939. This study was conducted by using primary evidence from various ministries regarding the state lottery, including other associated articles and dissertations.
The results revealed that during the period from 1933 to 1939, or from the period of the administrative change in 1932 to the beginning of the Second World War, the lottery was important to the Thai economy because lottery issuance is a method that the state applies to increase the income to compensate for the loss of reforms and national defense. In the meantime, Thai and global economic conditions contributed to the government’s determination of policy on lottery operations. Lotteries were issued on special occasions to seek more revenue. Changes in policy, according to economic conditions, allowed the Government Lottery Office to increase income as required resulting in the issuance of lottery on regular basis in the present.บทความนี้ศึกษาการเปลี่ยนแปลงการออกสลากกินแบ่งรัฐบาลที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเศรษฐกิจไทย พ.ศ. 2476 - 2482 โดยใช้วิธีการศึกษาค้นคว้าจากหลักฐานชั้นต้นจากกระทรวงต่าง ๆ เกี่ยวกับสลากกินแบ่งรัฐบาล รวมถึงบทความและวิทยานิพนธ์อื่น ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ในช่วง พ.ศ. 2476 - 2482 ซึ่งเป็นช่วงหลังการเปลี่ยนแปลงการปกครอง พ.ศ. 2475 จนถึงช่วงเริ่มต้นสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 สลากกินแบ่งมีความสำคัญต่อเศรษฐกิจของไทย เพราะการออกสลากกินแบ่งเป็นวิธีการที่รัฐใช้แสวงหารายได้ เพื่อใช้ในการปฏิรูปและป้องกันประเทศ ขณะเดียวกัน สภาวะเศรษฐกิจของไทยและของโลกในช่วงเวลานั้นมีส่วนกำหนดนโยบายของรัฐในการดำเนินการเกี่ยวกับสลากกินแบ่งรัฐบาล ที่สำคัญ คือ การปรับเปลี่ยนรูปแบบของการออกสลาก จากการออกในวาระโอกาสพิเศษมาเป็นการออกสลากประจำเพื่อหารายได้เข้ารัฐให้มากขึ้น เมื่อการปรับเปลี่ยนนโยบายตามสภาวะเศรษฐกิจช่วยให้สำนักงานสลากกินแบ่งรัฐบาล สามารถแสวงหารายได้ได้ตามที่รัฐต้องการ จึงทำให้รัฐออกสลากกินแบ่งแบบประจำมาจนถึงปัจจุบั
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

This was achieved by using the methodology of primary evidence from various ministries regarding the state lottery, newspapers with associated articles and dissertations. The results revealed that the Government lottery or lottery is very important to the Thai economy. The government uses lottery tickets as a fundraising method. The lottery is a form of gambling that has existed in Thailand since the reign of King Nang Klao (Rama III) for entertainment and was used to find revenue in 1835 through taxation from the taxpayer and the lottery duty was canceled in 1916. From 1874-1939, Western lotteries were played in Thai society for entertainment and clearly used for government economic fundraising. The lottery also became more important after the change of government in 1932, because the government used it as a source of income and it became a state enterprise known as the State Enterprise Agency in 1939. The government lottery or lottery has always been important for the Thai economy. Also, the lottery demonstrated changes in political power, indicating by the lottery tickets in each period. At the same time, economic conditions in Thailand and internationally affected lottery issuance, which is the adjustment of lottery form, such as an alphabet or numbers. At first, they were issued on special occasions and then changed into a regular lottery in order to find more revenue for the state. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
