    El fondo Biblioteca Pública Piloto, contiene información desde 1951 hasta 1967. Reúne escritos, correspondencia, recortes de prensa y documentos notariales que dan cuenta de los antecedentes y desarrollo del proyecto de bibliotecas públicas que la UNESCO implementó en países subdesarrollados. Reúne también las primeras iniciativas sobre organización, consulta, políticas de préstamo y circulación de libros, conservación y preservación de libros, programas culturales, entre otras iniciativas. La Biblioteca Pública Piloto fue fundada en 1952 como resultado de un convenio entre el gobierno colombiano y la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura –UNESCO. Ha sido un referente cultural de la ciudad de Medellín y se destaca por desarrollar y apoyar importantes eventos culturales, reuniendo y conservando toda la creación individual y colectiva de la ciudad, convirtiéndose en un espacio de aprendizaje y disfrute de los antioqueños.El fondo está conformado por 9 carpetas y 393 folios agrupados en las siguientes series documentales: Correspondencia: 2 carpetas para un total de 88 folios - Escritos: 3 carpetas para un total de 257 folios - Documentos legales y notariales: 1 carpeta para un total de 32 folios - Recortes de prensa: 3 carpetas para un total de 16 folios
