No full textTitle from inscription on backing sheet.; Condition: Fair; discolouration, foxing, water marks, multiple small areas of surface damage; detached from backing sheet.; Drawing unsigned and undated. Inscription attributes drawing to R. (or P.) Noble, possibly Richard Noble, fl.1828-1867.; Related material: Papers of Patrick O'Farrell; National Library of Australia, manuscript collection MS 6265. Inscription: "Crayon by R. Noble, artist, Sydney 1864, of the Very Rev. Dean Michael John Dwyer, O.S.B. (familiarly known as Father John). He was the son of Dwyer of Bungendore, N.S.W. and grandson of the celebrated patriot of 1798, Michael Dwyer of the Glen. The latter was buried in the old R. C. Cemetery, Devonshire Street, Sydney. This notice is written by I. G. O'Connor, Newcastle, N.S. Wales, a great personal friend of Father Johns, and this crayon was executed to his (I. G. O'C's) order by Noble. Mrs Dwyer, wife of Michael Dwyer, was God-mother (in Goulburn) to Michael J. FitzPatrick (father of Joseph P. FitzPatrick) and latter is grandson to I. G. O'Connor by his daughter Gertrude Mary. The late Very Rev. Dr. Bemingham? was godfather to Joe Fitz[Patrick]"--Handwritten in pencil on verso of backing sheet

Analisam-se a partir da micro-historia os contextos e as trajetórias de vida de pessoas que ocasionaram uma alternância entre colégios secundaristas conventuais e laicos, eram esses: Colégio RR. PP. Jesuítas (1845-1855), Colégio Lycêo (1857-1864) e Colégio Santíssimo Salvador (1865-1869). Tendo como objetivo central compreender as motivações que ocasionaram o fechamento do Colégio Lycêo
