No full textJan Tomasz Drachny (1770–1822) pochodził z Cieszyna, był synem Józefa Drachny (zm. 1816), architekta i budowniczego. W 1797 r. zamieszkał w Krakowie i został przyjęty do krakowskiego cechu murarzy i kamieniarzy. W latach 1802–1816 był zatrudniony jako Inspektor Budownictwa w Urzędzie Budownictwa Miejskiego podlegającym krakowskiemu Magistratowi. W 1816 r. po objęciu stanowiska Budowniczego Miejskiego Wolnego Miasta Krakowa zajmował się m.in. zakupem specjalistycznych narzędzi niezbędnych w pracy urzędu, przygotował wykaz budynków opustoszałych, czyli w bardzo złym stanie technicznym w jedenastu gminach miejskich WMK. Jako budowniczy i architekt opracował szereg planów budowy czy przebudowy krakowskich kamienic, jako urzędnik wiele z nich nadzorował i zatwierdzał. Wykonał liczne plany i pomiary związane ze zmianami urbanistycznymi na obszarze aglomeracji krakowskiej.
Jan Drachny, “artist of construction art”, Building Inspector (1802–1816) and Municipal Constructor of the Free Town of Krakow (1816–1822)
Jan Tomasz Drachny (1770–1822) came from Cieszyn and was the son of Józef Drachny (dec. 1816), an architect and constructor. In 1797, he settled in Krakow and was accepted into the Krakow guild of builders and stonemasons. In the period of 1802– 1816, he was employed as a Building Inspector in the Municipal Building Office subject to the Krakow Town Council. In 1816, after becoming the Municipal Constructor of the Free 136 Kamila Follprecht Town of Krakow, he dealt with, among others, the purchase of specialised tools necessary for the work of the office, and prepared a list of abandoned buildings, in other words, those in very bad technical condition, in eleven municipal boroughs of Krakow. As a constructor and architect, he created a wide range of plans for building or extending Krakow’s townhouses, and as a clerk he supervised and authorised many of them. He created numerous plans and measurements connected with urban changes in the Krakow agglomeration.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
