ISO/TS 16949: analysis of the diffusion and current trends
Get PDFThe automotive industry has always shown a particular interest toward quality management systems, which resulted in the development of several different specific standards. As a result of this, by the mid-1980s, automotive suppliers were subject to numerous national and customer specific regulations. The proliferation of these standards and the need to create a single reference model led to Technical Specification (TS) 16949, an ISO technical specification aimed at representing a comprehensive quality management system for the global automotive industry. Since its early introduction, TS 16949 has encountered a certain success thanks to its feature of unifying and harmonizing the already existing standards. This paper studies the global evolution and diffusion of this technical specification, observing its impact on the local economies. The argument is supported by many empirical data

No full textPara enfrentar as constantes concorrências no mercado, as empresas automotivas buscam o desenvolvimento de um sistema de gestão da qualidade (SGQ) segundo os referenciais da norma ISO TS 16949, que a partir do 2016 foi acrescescida de novos elementos e a passou ser conhecida como IATF 16949. A evolução da norma ISO TS 16949 para a IATF 16949 trouxe uma série de mudanças e novos requisitos que precisam ser analisados dos pontos de vista teórico e empírico a fim de subsidiar uma melhor compreensão sobre a sua implementação em empresas automotivas. Diante disso, o principal objetivo desta pesquisa é propor diretrizes para auxiliar empresas na implementação dos elementos acrescidos na migração para a IATF 16949. Para cumprir com este objetivo foi realizada uma revisão da literatura científica sobre diversos aspectos dos sistemas de gestão da qualidade, foi realizada a identificação dos elementos acrescidos na evolução da ISO TS 16949 para a IATF 16949 e, finalmente, foram realizados 4 estudos de caso em empresas do segmento automotivo. Com o desenvolvimento e execução desta pesquisa obteve-se os seguintes resultados: identificação dos principais elementos acrescidos na migração da ISO TS 16949 para IATF 16949, boas práticas, benefícios e dificuldades enfrentados por empresas na sua implementação, e proposição de diretrizes para guiar a implementação dos elementos da IATF 16949.In order To face the constant competition in the market, automotive companies seek the development of a quality management system (QMS) according to the standards of ISO TS 16949, which from 2016 was added new elements and became known as IATF 16949. The evolution from ISO TS 16949 to IATF 16949 has brought a number of changes and new requirements that need to be analyzed from a theoretical and empirical point of view in order to support a better understanding of its implementation in automotive companies. Given this, the main objective of this research is to propose guidelines to assist companies in the implementation of the added elements in the migration to IATF 16949. To accomplish this objective, a review of the scientific literature on various aspects of quality management systems was performed. the identification of the added elements in the evolution from ISO TS 16949 to IATF 16949 and, finally, 4 case studies were carried out in automotive companies. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, teoretické a praktické.První část práce popisuje teoretické znalosti z oblasti systému managementu kva-lity v automobilovém průmyslu spolu s používanými metodami a nástroji a hlavně seznámení s normou IATF 16949:2016, kterou je třeba vnímat jako dodatek k normě ISO 9001:2015 a spolu s touto normou ji používat. Praktická část práce je zaměřena na porovnání původní normy ISO/TS 16949:2009 s novou normou ISO 9001:2015 + normou IATF 16949:2016. Dále dle nových požadavků normy je snaha upravit stávající systém managementu kvality ve společnosti a pomoci tak s přípravou k její certifikaci.Závěrečná část je zaměřena na vyhodnocení přípravy, která byla provedena, a na seznámení s výsledkem certifikace.The subject of this diploma thesis is a preparation of a specific organisation for the certification according to the standard IATF 16949: 2016. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical.The first part of the thesis describes the theoretical knowledge of the quality ma-nagement system in the automotive industry, together with methods and tools used, and especially the introduction to IATF 16949: 2016, which should be seen as an addition to the standard ISO 9001: 2015 and used in conjunction with this standard.Practical part is focused on a comparison of the original ISO / TS 16949: 2009 standard with the new ISO 9001: 2015 standard + IATF 16949: 2016. Get PDFOpinnäytetyössä tarkastellaan autoteollisuuden laadunhallintastandardi IATF 16949:n vaatimuksia ja muita lähteitä toimittajan kehittämisestä. Lähteiden pohjalta laadittiin yritykselle toimittajan kehitysmanuaali. Työn toimeksiantajana oli Epec Oy. Toimittajalla tässä työssä tarkoitetaan organisaatiota, joka toimittaa asiakkaalle tuotteita tai palveluita.
Työn tavoitteena oli luoda standardoitu prosessi ja toimintatapa, miten toimittajien suorituskykyä ylläpidetään ja kehitetään. Epec Oy noudattaa IATF 16949 -standardin vaatimuksia omassa toiminnassaan ja haluaa kehittää toimittajalaadun tehokkuutta standardin vaatimusten mukaisesti. Opinnäytetyössä käytiin läpi standardin vaatimukset toimittajien kehittämisestä, hallinnasta, suorituskyvyn seuraamisesta sekä siitä, miten nämä vaatimukset voidaan implementoida yrityksen prosesseihin.
Opinnäytetyöstä syntyi Epec Oy:lle toimittajan kehitysmanuaali. Tämän avulla yritys parantaa omaa laaduntuottokykyään, vähentää laatuvirheitä sekä yhtenäistää toimintatavat standardoiduksi prosessiksi, mutta myös täyttää IATF 16949 -standardin vaatimukset toimittajien kehittämisestä. Toimittajan kehitysmanuaalin sisältö luokitellaan yrityssalaisuudeksi, joten sitä ei voida liittää tähän työhön.The purpose of the thesis was to review automotive industry´s quality management standard IATF 16949 and other sources, which will be basis of a supplier development manual for the company. The client of the thesis was Epec Oy. Supplier in this thesis refers to an organization that delivers products or services to the customer.
The aim of the thesis was to create a standardized process and operating method for maintaining and developing the supplier´s ‘performance. Epec Oy complies with the requirements of the IATF 16949 standard in its own operations and wants to develop the efficiency of supplier quality in accordance with the requirements of the standard. In the thesis, the standards requirements were reviewed for supplier development, management, performance monitoring and how these requirements can be implemented in the company’s processes.
The thesis resulted in a supplier development manual for Epec Oy, with which the company can improve its own production quality, reduce quality errors and unify operating methods into a standardized process, while fulfilling IATF 16949 -standard requirements regarding supplier development. The content of the supplier's development manual is classified as a business secret, so it cannot be included in this thesis

V teoretické části je definován pojem systém managementu kvality, popsán obsah norem ISO ř. 9000 a normy ISO/TS 16949 a proces auditování. V praktické části jsou uvedeny základní informace o společnosti UNEX, a.s. a analyzován současný stav systému managementu dle požadavků normy ISO/TS 16949. Projektová část je zaměřena na úspěšnou certifikaci. Technické řešení je realizováno pouze v oblasti údržby z důvodu mého profesního zaměření. Na závěr je uvedena riziková a nákladová analýza včetně přínosů projektu.This Master Thesis deals with single requirements of the standard ISO/TS 16949 so as to ensure successful certification the company UNEX Inc., establishment Olomouc to the required standard. There is defined quality management system, described content of ISO series 9000 and standard ISO/TS 16949 and auditing process in the theoretical part. There are introduced basic information about company UNEX Inc. and analyzed current status of quality management system according the standard ISO/TS 16949 in the practical part. Project part is focused on successful certification. Technical solution is realized only in part of maintenance because of my professional position. IATF 16949 standardı çok fazla lider otomobil üreticisinin ISO 9001 standardı ile otomotiv sektöründe üretim, tasarım, iyileştirme, montaj ve servis gibi süreçleri kapsayan bir standart oluşturulmuştur. Bu çalışmanın amacı IATF 16949 standardının önemi göz önünde bulundurularak teknik şartlarının incelenmesiyle firmaya kurulum aşamalarının tamamlanmasıdır. Prvá časť je teoretická a druhá časť je praktická. Teoretická časť je zameraná na kvalitu, štan-dardy a štandard IATF 16949. Zároveň teoretická časť slúži ako podklad k praktickej čas-ti. Na začiatku praktickej časti je predstavená spoločnosť Continental Powertrain Czech Re-public ,s.r.o. Po predstavení je praktická časť práce venovaná analýze stavu IATF 16949 v podniku. Následne sú navrhnuté zmeny tak, aby boli splnené všetky požiadavky štan-dardu IATF 16949. V poslednej časti práce je ekonomické zhodnotenie zmien, ktoré boli podniku navrhnuté.The topic of this bachelor thesis is the implementation of standard IATF 16949 in com-pany Continental Powertrain Czech Republic, s.r.o.
