It offers lists of magistrates of the City Council, their terms of office, data concerning choice of party and faction, occupation, education, possible entrance in monasteries or convents, ecclesiastical careers, wealth, property, marriage, and family relations in the time period 1420-1510. The files are included in the dissertation by Hanno Brand, 'Over macht en overwicht: Stedelijke elites in Leiden 1420-1510' (Leuven, Apeldoorn 1996). No full textProsopographical dataset on patriciate families in Leiden during the period 1250-1420. The dataset comprises family names and data on administrative functions, ownership of land, houses and interest, family connections, suretyship etc. The dataset was originally created for a research project that resulted in F.J.W. van Kan's dissertation, 'Sleutels tot de macht: de ontwikkeling van het Leidse patriciaat tot 1420', (Leiden University 1988). The dataset was published on diskettes as an appendix to this dissertation. The dataset has been extended since 1988 and for that reason can no longer be seen as a separate part of the publication of 1988

The author first describes changes of this dominion’s extent between years 1377 and 1420, then analyses the buyers, their connection to the seller and their reasons for buying individual villages, and strategies, which were applied to these newly bought properties by the buyers. In the last part, this study presents different theories, why Petr of Kravaře sold this dominion, and corrects some of the hypotheses introduced by historians during last hundred years
New a(1)(1420) state: structure, mass, and width
No full textAzizi, Kazem (Dogus Author)The structure, spectroscopic parameters and width of the resonance with quantum numbers J(PC) = 1(++) discovered by the COMPASS Collaboration and classified as the a(1)(1420) meson are examined in the context of QCD sum rule method. In the calculations the axial-vector meson a(1)(1420) is treated as a fourquark state with the diquark-antidiquark structure. The mass and current coupling of a(1)(1420) are evaluated using QCD two-point sum rule approach. Its observed decay mode a(1)(1420) -> f (0)(980)pi, and kinematically allowed ones, namely a(1) -> K*(+/-) K--/+, a(1) -> K*(0)(K) over bar (0) and a(1) -> (K) over bar*K-0(0) channels are studied employing QCD sum rules on the light-cone. Our prediction for the mass of the a(1)(1420) state m(a1) = 1416(-79)(+81) MeV is in excellent agreement with the experimental result. Width of this state Gamma = 145.52 +/- 20.79 MeV within theoretical and experimental errors is also in accord with the COMPASS data
