EN 13149 -standardin sovellusohje:Ohjeita liikennöijälaitteiden väliseen väyläpohjaiseen tiedonsiirtoon joukkoliikennevälineissä
CENin teknisessä komiteassa TC278, sen työryhmässä WG3 ja sen alaryhmässä SG1 ollaan standardoimassa linja-autojen ja raitiovaunujen sisäisten liikennöijälaitteiden välistä kommunikointia. Käytännössä tällaisia laitteita ovat esimerkiksi linjakilpi, sisätiloissa oleva seuraavan pysäkin näyttö ja lippujen käsittelyyn liittyvät laitteet. Näitä kaikkia ohjataan yleensä ajoneuvotietokoneella. Standardi tulee saamaan numeron EN 13149, ja se on nimeltään 'Public Transport – Road Vehicle Scheduling and Control Systems – Equipment Inside A Vehicle'. Se koostuu kuudesta osasta: kolme ensimmäistä osaa määrittelevät WorldFIPpohjaisen kommunikoinnin ja kolme seuraavaa CANopen-pohjaisen kommunikoinnin. Tässä dokumentissa annetaan ohjeita standardin osien EN 13149-4, EN 13149-5 ja EN 13149-6, eli CANopen-pohjaisen väylän soveltamiseen. WorldFIP-pohjainen osuus on jätetty tämän dokumentin ulkopuolelle, koska varsin todennäköistä on, että Suomessa tullaan käyttämään CANopen-pohjaista versiota. Analysis of Air Force Compliance with Executive Order 13149
The Air Force must comply with Executive Order (E.O.) 13149: Greening The Government Through Federal Fleet and Transportation Efficiency. This order focuses on the reduction of petroleum consumption in an effort to reduce dependence on foreign oil and preserve the environment. Specifically, it directs federal agencies (such as the Air Force) to reduce fuel use in the vehicle fleet 20 percent between Fiscal Years (FY) 1999 and 2005. This thesis examines the Air Force\u27s current alternative fuel vehicle (AFV) program and its evolution to determine how effective it is and how it should be adjusted to promote compliance with E.O. 13149. The results of this thesis look at steps that the Air Force should consider in an effort to increase the program\u27s impact on petroleum consumption. Analysis shows that the Air Force is working to adopt new technology. However, the availability of such technology in a timely fashion may make it difficult for the Air Force to meet the 2005 goal. Additionally, in instances where the technology is currently available, alternative fuel and the appropriate refueling infrastructure frequently are not. Finding the financial resources to support these improvements would greatly improve the effectiveness of the Air Force\u27s program
Evaluation of the Air Force\u27s Alternative Fuel Vehicle Program in Complying with Executive Order 13149
The Air Force must comply with Executive Order (E.O.) 13149, which includes cutting its vehicle fleet\u27s petroleum fuel usage 20 percent by 2005. This thesis examines the Air Force\u27s current alternative fuel vehicle (AFV) program, which is centered around the acquisition and use of compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles, to determine whether it has been effective, and how the AFV program should be tailored to contribute to the Air Force\u27s efforts to comply with E.O. 13149. The results of the study discussed here suggest ways in which the Air Force\u27s AFV program can be modified to increase the program\u27s impact on petroleum consumption. Although analysis shows that full compliance by all federal agencies will decrease the annual amount of oil imported to the United States by less than one percent, the Air Force must meet E.O. 13149 requirements. The Air Force has effectively managed its CNG vehicle fleet by assigning a vast majority of CNG vehicles to units with access to CNG fueling infrastructure, but usage of CNG vehicles\u27 in their CNG capacity must be increased if the AFV program is to contribute to the Air Force\u27s effort to cut petroleum usage
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
