Constructing and modelling an overhead crane according to standard sist en 13001
V okviru diplomskega dela je bil izveden statični preračun glavnega nosilca mostnega žerjava z uporabo temeljne mehanike. Rezultati so bili za zagotavljanje točnosti navzkrižno preverjeni s standardom SIST EN 13001. Na začetku diplomskega dela so predstavljeni standard SIST EN 13001 in dvigalne naprave, nato analitični preračun in določitev dimenzij profila glavnega nosilca. Sledijo uporaba standarda SIST EN 13001-1, izdelava 3D-modela CAD glavnega nosilca ter na koncu enostavnejša numerična analiza glavnega nosilca.As part of the thesis, a static calculation of the main girder of the overhead travelling crane was carried out in relation to the basic mechanics and checked for compliance with the SIST EN 13001 standard. At the beginning of the thesis, the SIST EN 13001 standard and the lifting devices are presented, followed by the analytical calculation and the determination of the dimensions of the main girder section. This is followed by the application of SIST EN 13001-1, the creation of a 3D CAD model of the main girder and at the end a simpler numerical analysis of the main girder
A Petrologic and Noble Gas Isotopic Study of New Basaltic Eucrite Grove Mountains 13001 from Antarctica
Howardite-Eucrite-Diogenite (HED) meteorite clan is a potential group of planetary materials which provides significant clues to understand the formation and evolution of the solar system. Grove Mountains (GRV) 13001 is a new member of HED meteorite, recovered from the Grove Mountains of Antarctica by the Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition. This research work presents a comprehensive study of the petrology and mineralogy, chemical composition, noble gas isotopes, cosmic-ray exposure (CRE) age and nominal gas retention age for the meteorite GRV 13001. The output data indicate that GRV 13001 is a monomict basaltic eucrite with typical ophitic/subophitic texture, and it consists mainly of low-Ca pyroxene and plagioclase with normal eucritic chemical compositions. The noble gas based CRE age of the GRV 13001 is approximately 29.9 ± 3.0 Ma, which deviates from the major impact events or periods on the HED parent body. Additionally, the U,Th-4He and 40K-40Ar gas retention ages of this meteorite are ~2.5 to 4.0 Ga and ~3.6 to 4.1 Ga, respectively. Based on the noble gases isotopes and the corresponding ages, GRV 13001 may have experienced intense impact processes during brecciation, and weak thermal event after the ejection event at approximately 30 Ma
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Comparison of the design of bridge cranes according to SIST DIN 15018 and SIST EN 13001-2 approach
Diplomsko delo se nanaša na zasnovo mostnih dvigal po dveh standardnih pristopih, sedaj neustreznem SIST DIN 15018 in veljavnem SIST EN 13001-2.
Glavna naloga je bila ugotovitev razlik v poteku zasnove po obeh pristopih in analitični preračun za izbrano mostno dvigalo, da vidimo kako se te razlike odražajo v izbiri komponent mostnega dvigala.
Po analizi rezultatov, lahko trdimo, da prihaja do razlik, vendar te niso tako drastične, da bi lahko z gotovostjo trdili, da uporaba mostnih dvigal zasnovanih po SIST DIN 15018 pristopu ni varna. Vsekakor pa je ustreznejša in varnejša uporaba dvigal zasnovanih po SIST EN 13001-2 pristopu.The thesis refers to the design of bridge cranes according to two standard approaches, now inadequate SIST DIN 15018 and valid SIST EN 13001-2 approach.
The main task was to establish differences between the two approaches in course of the design and to perform analytical calculation for selected bridge crane, to see how this differences reflect in the choice of bridge crane components.
After analysing the result, we can say that there are differences, but they are not so drastic that we could claim, that the use of bridge cranes designed according to SIST DIN 15018 approach is unsafe. However it is certainly more appropriate and safe to use bridge cranes design according to SIST EN 13001-2 approach
Structural calculation and design of an overhead crane according to EN 13001
Diplomsko delo obravnava opis, zasnovo in opredelitev mostnih žerjavov, ki jih najdemo v industrijskih halah, po novem veljavnem evropskem standardu SIST EN 13001. V uvodnem poglavju so na kratko predstavljene vrste mostnih žerjavov ter glavne komponente, ki sestavljajo mostni žerjav. V nadaljevanju je pojasnjena zasnova glavnih komponent mostnega žerjava. Teoretičnemu delu sledi analitični preračun teh komponent za dvonosilčni mostni žerjav nosilnosti 60/10 ton.This diploma thesis describes overhead cranes that can be found in industrial halls and provides information on their design and definition in accordance with the new applicable SIST EN 13001 standard. The introductory section briefly presents the types of overhead cranes and the main components of these cranes. The design of the main components of an overhead crane is explained. The theoretical part is followed by an analytical calculation of these components for a double girder overhead crane with a lifting capacity of 60/10 ton
Development of a calculation program for EN 13001
Im Rahmen des Normenharmonisierungsprozesses der Europäische Union wurde Anfang der 90er Jahre das technische Komitee 147 (TC 147) gegründet, um eine neue Norm für Krane zu entwickeln. Im Jahr 2012 wurde eine vorläufige Version der europäischen Norm für Krane (EN 13001) veröffentlicht. Dies zwingt professionelle Kranhersteller dazu, einen Übergang von der bisher verwendeten Norm DIN 15018 zur neuen europäischen Norm durchzuführen. Um kleine und mittelgroße Kranbauer bei der Übergangsphase zu unterstützen, wurde bei dieser Diplomarbeit ein Berechnungsprogramm erarbeitet, welches durch einen transparenten und flexiblen Ansatz die Übergangsphase erleichtern soll. Durch die automatisierte Berechnungsanwendung ist es den Anwendern möglich die Rechtmäßigkeit ihrer Krankonstruktionen unter den neuen normativen Rahmenbedingungen zu validieren. Darüber hinaus wurde ein Vergleich der alten und der neuen Kran Norm durchgeführt. Auf Grund des gesteigerten Umfangs und Komplexität der Norm ist die Anwendung nun deutlich aufwendiger. Allerdings sind nun die Ergebnisse von modernen, computerunterstützten Entwicklungsmethoden wie CAx und FEM zulässig. Dadurch steht Kranbauern nun die Möglichkeit offen auch Simulationsergebnisse beim Festigkeitsnachweis einfließen zu lassen.The European Union strives for a harmonization of national technical standards. As a result, the technical committee 147 (TC 147) was established in the early 90s to develop a new set of standards for cranes that are applicable in all member states. In 2012 a preliminary version of the European norm for cranes EN 13001 was published. While the standard is still in a revision process, the new standard forces professional crane producers to conduct a transition from the previously used standard DIN 15018 towards the new European standard. As such, this master thesis seeks to support professionals by providing an automatized calculation application that enables the users to validate the lawfulness of their crane structures under the new normative framework. In addition, the thesis provides insights on the use of the EN 13001 and a comparison of the old and new set of standards. In other words, this piece of work can be considered a user manual to the application of the new standards with the clear target to foster an efficient transition. Overall, the new standard requires more effort in its application due to the increased complexity of the verification processes. However, as it allows for the use of computer-supported product development methods such as CAx and FEM, a critical barrier for innovation has been removed
