Nascita della letteratura somala: le donne che hanno dato voce alla poesia
No full textL’articolo esplora la nascita e l’evoluzione della letteratura femminile so¬mala, mettendo in luce come le donne abbiano contribuito alla tradizione poetica del Paese nonostante una lunga marginalizzazione. Dopo aver ripercorso l’origine e le diverse accezioni del concetto di “letteratura” nella cultura somala, il testo distingue tra poesia e prosa, descri¬vendo la centralità della lingua come archivio culturale. Particolare attenzione è dedicata ai generi poetici tradizionali, alla struttura della poesia somala – basata su rima, ritmo e forma – e alla pratica della memorizzazione, che ha privilegiato la diffusione della poesia maschile. Il contributo femminile, spesso ridotto al solo buraanbur, viene rivalutato attraverso l’analisi di poetesse e componimenti tramandati sia oralmente sia tramite raccolte scritte. Una sezione è dedicata alla figura storica di Jamaad Sheekh Cabdule Xasan, sorella del Sayid, il cui vissuto testimonia il ruolo delle donne all’interno dei movimenti poetici, sociali e politici del tempo. Il testo intende quindi restituire visibilità alla voce poetica femminile, ricostruendone il valore artistico, culturale e storicoThis paper explores the advent and development of female Somali literature, highlighting how women have contributed to the country’s poetic tradition despite many years of marginalisation. Following a review of the origins and meanings of the concept of lit¬erature in Somali culture, the article distinguishes between poetry and prose, describing the central role played by language as a cultural archive. Particular attention is paid to tradition¬al poetic genres, to the structure of Somali poetry – based on rhyme, metre and form – and on the practice of memorising, which has favoured the spread of male poetry. The female contribution, often reduced to nothing more than buraanbur, is revalued through an analysis of poetesses and their compositions, passed down both orally and in written collections. A special section is devoted to the historical figure of Jamaad Sheekh Cabdule Xasan, sister of Sayid, whose life stands as testimony to women’s role in the poetic, social and political movements of the time. The paper thus sets out to enhance the visibility of the female poetic voice, restoring its artistic, cultural and historical value

No full textThe Kalevala, the great Finnish national poem compiled by Elias Lönnrot, contains numerous place names that may be either real or mythical and fictional. The aim of this article is to examine how this latter group is treated in the two most recent Italian versions of the poem ‒ Agrati & Magini (1988) and Ganassini (2010) and in the English version by Peabody Magoun Jr. (1963), considered by many to be the most convincing. While, on the one hand, the Italian scholars mostly (but not always) leave these names in their original form (in some cases explaining the meaning in their commentaries), the American scholar regularly ‘translates’ them following strategies that are illustrated in our study
Memorial: the recovery of the memory of Soviet repressions under Gorbachev
No full textThe present article reconstructs the events surrounding the creation of Memorial, highlighting Michail Gorbachev’s role in both launching the politics of memory of the victims of Soviet repressions and trying to manage the tensions which arose within the Cpsu in relation to Memorial. It does so by comparing firsthand accounts, archival sources and secondary literature. The rise of Memorial as a spontaneous, bottom-up movement spread across the Soviet Union, while “unleashed” by Gorbachev’s reform, led to a series of crises within the highest echelons of Soviet power between moderate and conservative fractions of the party, notably the KGB, which saw the new movement as partially “extremist”. Through the analysis of a variety of sources, the article highlights an episode which sheds light on some of the dynamics at play between the Cpsu and a changing society during the Gorbachev era

Due esperimenti interattivi hanno guidato i partecipanti tra fibre ottiche, laser, atomi e ioni intrappolati, mostrando le tecniche usate nei laboratori per la comunicazione e il calcolo quantistico. È stata anche illustrata l’infrastruttura regionale per la comunicazione quantistica, pensata per lo scambio sicuro di documenti grazie alle leggi della fisica. Un’occasione per immergersi nel mondo della ricerca e scoprire il futuro quantistico che ci attende

No full textThis paper presents the language proficiency assessment project for admission to Master’s degree programs (LM) at the University of Turin, developed by the University Language Centre (CLA-UniTO). Launched in 2022, the project is based on a multilingual and personalized testing architecture, supported by the Moodle platform and integrated with tools for remote monitoring and digital security. Through an approach focused on personalization, security, and scalability, CLA has implemented an innovative technological solution that could be replicated at a national level. In parallel, the paper explores the use of Open Badges as tools for the digital certification of language skills, with the aim of formally and transparently enhancing students’ educational pathways by outlining the main milestones, the actors involved, and future prospects
