Letture triestine: uno spoglio delle traduzioni letterarie nella Trieste tra impero asburgico e Italia (1830-1930)
No full textThis article investigates the circulation of translated narrative works in Italian available in Trieste between 1830 and 1930. While translation studies have developed extensively internationally, Italy lacks comprehensive long-term surveys, with existing research often limited to individual authors or specific texts. Trieste offers a particularly compelling case study due to its multilingual and multicultural context within the Austro-Hungarian Empire, its role as a major commercial and publishing hub, and its dynamic literary environment. The study draws on two main sources: the holdings of the “Attilio Hortis” city library and the catalog of publications printed in Trieste, accessed through the OPAC of the Italian National Library System. Excluding classical works, freely adapted texts, and unattributed collections, the research focuses on modern narrative works. A combination of automated keyword searches and manual filtering allowed the identification of translated works, revealing patterns in source languages, genres, and publication trends. By analyzing the data, this study reconstructs the circulation of foreign literature in a key Italian city and highlights the role of translations in shaping the literary and cultural landscape of post-unification Italy. The findings contribute to building a historical profile of Italian narrative, mapping cultural flows, and providing a foundation for future large-scale digital analyses of translated and native literature through distant reading approaches

L’ecumenismo metaetico di José Juan Moreso
No full textMoreso’s metaethical works revolve around a central theme: the attempt to outline an ‘ecumen-ical’ metaethical proposal that could be embraced independently—at least to some extent—of the positions defended within the major divisions of the metaethical debate: cognitivism/non-cognitivism, realism/anti-realism. In this article, I reconstruct the basic features of Moreso’s me-ta ethical ecumenism and the concerns it addresses. I then raise some objections. I conclude by arguing that Moreso could still achieve all that he cares about even if he abandoned the most problematic tenet of his ecumenical attempts, namely, a certain, very robust conception of ob-jectivity in ethics

No full textFranz Grillparzer’s Das goldene Vließ (The Golden Fleece, 1821) may be interpreted as a meditation on the structures and implications of love. Composed during a period marked by profound historical upheavals that reshaped cultural and ideological paradigms, the trilogy engages with the emergent bourgeois conception of “romantic love”—that is, the affective bond between a man and a woman culminating in a love-based marriage and the establishment of an independent household. This ideological framework simultaneously presupposed and reinforced sharply differentiated social roles for men and women. Within this context, the figures of Jason and Medea appear to interrogate, and ultimately destabilize, the very premises of this bourgeois idea
Exploring first integrals of homogeneous Lagrangian systems through nonlocal constants
No full textIn this paper we study autonomous systems whose Lagrangian function is the combination of several homogeneous terms with respect to positions and velocities. We show that, assuming certain relations between the degrees of homogeneity of such terms, the systems considered possess (in addition to energy) a further first integral that provides information about their solutions. A new feature of these results is the use of the theory of nonlocal constants, which finds useful constants using one-parameter perturbed motions
L’e-portfolio nella formazione iniziale degli insegnanti nei percorsi 60 e 30 cfu
No full textIl contributo presenta l’analisi dell’uso del dispositivo “e-Portfolio” nel Percorso 60 e 30 CFU attivato dall’Università di Macerata nell’a.a. 2023-2024 con l’obiettivo di individuare potenzialità e barriere nell’attitudine alle pratiche riflessive durante il periodo di formazione. I dati, di tipo qualitativo, sono stati raccolti attraverso ses¬sioni di progettazione e confronto con i tutor coordinatori, gli artefatti dei corsisti documentati nell’e-Portfolio e un questionario finale. L’approccio di analisi adot¬tato si basa sulla triangolazione delle linee di progettazione del team di coordina¬mento e la dimensione delle scelte di espressione e rappresentazione del processo di documentazione e riflessione operate dai corsisti su cui è stata applicata un’analisi del contenuto. I dati ricavati dall’analisi degli artefatti mostrano un allineamento con le testimonianze emerse dai confronti avvenuti con i tutor evidenziando nette difficoltà da parte dei corsisti nella gestione del processo riflessivo
New Ethics, Recognition, and Arguments for Toleration
No full textIn this article, I analyze a series of publications on “new ethics” and propose to define this term as a demand for “hyper-recognition” for those whose group identity has been previously dis-criminated against.I argue that contemporary moral and political philosophy can justify any of the three desirable moral attitudes between individuals and groups: tolerance (negative), recog-nition (equality), and hyper-recognition (new ethics in domestic discourse). In my opinion, the most adequate option in the moral sphere remains classical negative tolerance. To support this thesis, I compare the mechanisms of tolerant consciousness (J. Horton, D. Heyd) with the mechanisms of recognition (A. Galeotti, P. Jones) and show that there are either logical contra-dictions or undesirable practical consequences in both the principle of recognition and the principle of hyper-recognition. I do not reconstruct or analyze the whole approach marked as “theory of recognition” here (A. Honneth, N. Fraser and some others prominent philosophers have been playing the key role in the theory) as far I plan to compare pros and cons of tolera-tion being substituted by recognition in a very narrow domain of morality. I accept the idea that domains of morality, politics, and law as far as normative principles these spheres hold at their ground are somehow overlap and shift in respect to the borders of each sphere in real public debates, but in this paper, I rather prefer to treat them as if they are not intertwined. In conclu-sion, I outline the task of modern tolerance theory as the search for and justification of contex-tually sensitive second-order grounds for implementing an effective tolerant attitude
