Čeprav so žurnali zanesljivejši, plakati dopolnjujejo sliko repertoarne prakse. Prispevek najprej oriše življenjski poti in delovanje obeh impresarijev na ljubljanskem odru, nato predstavi ter analizira iz-brana dela iz sezone in rekonstruira celoten repertoar. Posebna pozornost je namenje-na težavam, s katerimi sta se impresarija soočala pri najemu Stanovskega gledališča, značilnostim ansambla ter zahtevnosti repertoarja, ki sta ga zasnovala in izvedla pred ljubljanskim občinstvomThe present paper continues the authors’ prior research on the history of the theatre in Slovenia, focusing the German-language Estates Theatre in Ljubljana in the early 1830s and more specifically on the 1832/33 season, which was managed by the impresarios Eduard Neufeld and Heinrich Börnstein. The season’s repertoire is reconstructed on the basis of two surviving theatre journals as well as theatre posters from the National Museum of Slovenia’s collections. The journals, which were prepared by members of the ensemble, contain not only lists of performances but also information on the troupe, anecdotes and literary vignettes, while the posters provide additional details about titles, authors, genres and casts. Although the journals are more reliable, the posters help provide a fuller picture of the theatre’s repertoire practices. The paper first Tanja Žigon, Tone Smolej / STanovSkogledališčev ljubljanivSezoni 1832/33 ...181outlines the biographies and work of the two impresarios on the Ljubljana stage, then discusses selected plays from the season and reconstructs the complete repertoire. Special attention is given to the difficulties the impresarios faced in leasing the Estates Theatre, the specificities of the ensemble, and the challenges posed by the repertoire they conceived and brought before the Ljubljana audienc

Significance of chondrocyte viability in postmortem interval assessments and chondrocyte viability assay

Determination of the postmortem interval (PMI) is one of the most challenging problems in forensic medicine. The main aim of this study was to determine the dynamics of the decrease in the fraction of viable chondrocytes excluded from the donors\u27 knees for PMI determination. The other aim was to find an appropriate method for chondrocyte viability assay. We analyzed osteochondral cylinders from 35 donors (28 males and 7 females), aged 44 to 90 years, whose bodies were stored in refrigerators at temperature of 8 ± 2 °C, during the period from 4 to 83 days postmortem. The proportion of viable chondrocytes was determined by flow cytometry (FC) and cell viability analyzer (CVA). For FC we used RedDot™1 to mark all chondrocytes with nuclei (method FCN) and 7-AAD, to distinguish live/dead cells (method FCC) among RedDot™1 positive cells. Results revealed that chondrocytes from the knee cartilage can be found alive after more than two months postmortem. We observed that even in controlled temperatures and environment, the predicted interval for PMI is too wide for this method to be used in daily forensic practice, likely due to the relatively small number of donors considered in our study, and other unknown factors that affect the viability of chondrocytes in dead bodies. This could be verified with a larger number of donors followed over a longer period. FCC is a slightly superior method over CVA and FCN in terms of its ability for PMI determination

The human body is exposed to microplastic particles through inhalation of airborne microplastics, ingestion of microplastics in food, and dermal contact with microplastics found in cosmetic, textile, and other products, with infants being a particularly vulnerable group due to their higher susceptibility to dermal absorption. The aim of the thesis is to examine consumer awareness and attitudes toward microplastics in cosmetic products, as well as the presence of synthetic polymers in selected cosmetic products for infants and children on the Slovenian market. In the introduction, we outline the potential health impacts of microplastic particles originating from cosmetic products and the regulatory framework governing the presence of microplastics in cosmetics. We continue with an analysis of respondents’ answers to questions about their awareness and purchasing habits related to microplastics, taking demographic characteristics into account. We found that respondents were relatively well informed about microplastics in general. The purchase and use of baby cosmetics were common among adult respondents who do not themselves belong to the target group, while pregnancy or caring for an infant did not significantly influence attitudes toward the environmental aspects of cosmetic products. Most respondents indicated that they would be willing to discontinue the use of at least some cosmetic products containing microplastics. Using an in silico approach, we then assess the presence of synthetic polymers in 138 cosmetic products available on the Slovenian market with the help of the Beat the Microbead app. We identified 21 synthetic polymers classified as microplastics by the Beat the Microbead campaign. According to the criteria of the European Chemicals Agency, we identified four polymers as microplastics, which were present in three cosmetic products. A natural cosmetics certification proved to be a reliable indicator of the absence of microplastics defined by the European Chemicals Agency criteria. Despite limitations, such as the non-quantitative analysis of polymers in cosmetic products and a demographically unbalanced survey sample, the thesis provides insight into the presence of microplastics in cosmetic products on the Slovenian market and consumer attitudes toward microplastics. Based on the findings, we highlight the need for further research on synthetic polymers and their potential effects on human health and the environment, as well as the search for sustainable alternatives to microplastics in the cosmetics industry

Hetitske reduplicirane glagolske tvorbe in njihovo praindoevropsko ozadje

    No full text
The Hittite verbal system diverges significantly in several of the basic categories from the ProtoIndo-European system as reconstructed on the basis of other ancient Indo-European languages (primarily Sanskrit and Ancient Greek). One such difference concerns the system of verbal reduplication, which, although it may be formally and functionally comparable to that attested in other IndoEuropean languages, cannot be derived from the same immediate linguistic ancestor as the latter. As can be determined by way of relative chronology of sound changes that are relevant to the development of the individual reduplicated forms, as well as through the identification of productive and non-productive reduplication types and the corresponding type of verbal-stem structure, Hittite seems to preserve only a small handful of reduplicated verbal stems that can be unambiguously traced back to Proto-Indo-European. At the same time, it can be shown that much of the remaining portion of reduplicated stems date to the Proto-Anatolian period or are not older than Hittite itself. These are ultimately based on the derivational, stem-forming morphology inherited from the protolanguage, but they are clearly formally distinct from the directly inherited core group of reduplicated verbs. One of the most prominent innovations of the Proto-Anatolian system, retained in Hittite as a productive reduplication type, is the emergence of copy reduplication, while only Hittite exhibits a disyllabic subtype of strong reduplication and allows for initial cluster copying reduplication. The functional role of reduplication in the Hittite verbal system should not be considered in isolation from the function typical of the Hittite imperfective suffixes, which in fact feature as either their functional equivalents or appear alongside them – as a synchronically more productive type of word-formation – to merely reinforce the already present function of reduplication itself. In addition to a dearth of inherited reduplicated formations attested with already lexicalized meanings, reduplication in Hittite primarily serves iterative and intensive functions. From this it logically follows that reduplication was inherited into Proto-Anatolian as a stem-forming affix which was part of derivational morphology, more specifically one of the means of modifying the derivational aspect (Aktionsart) of the verb, and that it is exactly in this role that the system of reduplication continued to operate productively within the Hittite verbal system

Performance benchmarking of 5G SA and NSA networks for wireless data transfer

    No full text
This paper presents test results of the performance comparison of 5G standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) networks in the context of gathering data of remote sensors and machines. The study evaluates key network characteristics such as latency, throughput, jitter and packet loss (for UDP protocol only) using standardized tests to gain insights into the impact of these factors on real-time and data-intensive communication. In addition, a range of communication protocols including OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, AMQP, CoAP, EtherCAT and gRPC were tested to assess their efficiency, scalability and suitability with different send data sizes. By conducting experiments in a controlled hardware environment, we have analyzed the impact of the 5G architecture on protocol behavior and measured the transmission performance at different data sizes and connection configurations. Particular attention is paid to protocol overhead, data transfer rates and responsiveness, which are crucial for industrial automation and IoT deployments. The results show that SA networks consistently offer lower latency and more stable performance, where robust and low-latency data transfer is essential. In contrast, lightweight IoT protocols such as MQTT and CoAP demonstrate reliable operation in both SA and NSA environments due to their low overhead and adaptability. These insights are equally important for time-critical industrial protocols such as EtherCAT and OPC UA, where stability and responsiveness are crucial for automation and control. The study highlights current limitations of 5G networks in supporting both remote sensing and industrial use cases, while providing guidance for selecting the most suitable communication protocols depending on network infrastructure and application requirements. Moreover, the results indicate directions for configuring and optimizing future 5G networks to better meet the demands of remote sensing systems and Industry 4.0 environments

Diplomsko delo obsega obsežnejši pregled strokovne in znanstvene literature domačih in tujih avtorjev s področja študentskega dela. Student work has been present in Slovenia for more than 50 years. It is a well-established form of work that is constantly evolving. It is one of the most flexible forms of work, enabling pupils and students to gain new experiences and skills and earn additional income. The legislation is scattered across several legal acts that regulate individual aspects of student work. Due to its high flexibility, it also has some shortcomings that could be addressed by comparing it with the Belgian system. The methodology used in the thesis to achieve the objective was secondary data analysis. The legislation relating to Slovenian and Belgian student work, professional articles, documents, and other legal sources was examined. A comparative research method was used to compare identical and similar facts, highlighting similarities and differences. Student work is already well-regulated in Slovenia. It is highly flexible, allowing students a great deal of autonomy and self-organization. To reduce abuse, certain Belgian practices could be adopted, such as an upper limit on hours worked, a student employment contract, and the introduction of notice and probationary periods. The thesis presents a wide review of professional and scientific literature from domestic and international authors in the field of student work. It serves as a motivation for further research in this area and for seeking effective solutions regarding student employment in Slovenia. It contributes to the advancement of professional and scientific understanding of student work and its legal regulation, offering proposals for improvement based on Belgian legislation. The thesis presents a comprehensive review of professional and scientific literature by domestic and foreign authors in the field of student work. It encourages further study of this field and the search for effective solutions for student work in Slovenia. It contributes to the development of professional and scientific understanding of student work and its legal regulation and offers suggestions for improvement in line with Belgian legislation
