Libertades subterráneas: rastros y herencias en El túnel y The Collector
Get PDFThe purpose of this article is to establish the possible literary and philosophical connections between El túnel (1948), written by Ernesto Sábato and The Collector (1963) by John Fowles. In order to accomplish this, motifs and common situations in both novels will be studied with an existentialist philosophical framework, based on the works of Jean Paul Sartre. The main points considered will be the sartrean visions of freedom, love and power. For a more or less clear concept of these ideas, both philosophical and literary works by the French intellectual will be taken into account. The investigation will analyze to what extent the influence of Sartre can be traced in the novels subject to this study, either through direct reference to the philosopher, or through similar recurring leitmotifs.El propósito de este artículo es establecer las posibles conexiones literarias y filosóficas entre El túnel de Ernesto Sábato (1948) y The Collector de John Fowles (1963). Para lograr esto se estudiarán motivos y situaciones comunes en ambas novelas a través del marco filosófico del existencialismo de Jean Paul Sartre. Los puntos principales que se consideran serán las visiones sartrianas de libertad, amor y poder. Para lograr un concepto más o menos claro de dichas ideas, se tendrán en cuenta obras tanto filosóficas como literarias del intelectual francés, y se procederá a investigar hasta qué punto la influencia de Sartre se presenta evidentemente en las novelas objeto de este estudio, ya sea a través de referencias directas al filósofo, o a leitmotifs recurrentes en las obras
Considerations on transmediality, interdiscursivity and communicational interactivity in the digital Book-art (Hyperbook-art)
Get PDFLa consolidación del uso de tecnologías digitales en el arte, así como en cualquier tipo de manifestación cultural en general, ha derivado, en muchos casos, en una praxis creativa contemporánea caracterizada por la integración de diferentes medios de manera confluente, es decir, una producción artística contemporánea que se significa por la hibridación de ‘viejos’ y ‘nuevos’ medios, soportes, lenguajes y textualidades. A este escenario creativo liminal basado en la transmedialidad Jenkins lo ha denominado ‘convergencia cultural’. El objetivo del artículo es ofrecer una aproximación teórica-práctica comparada de los parámetros transmediales e interdiscursivos del Libro-arte digital (Hiperlibro-arte) teniendo en cuenta sus aptitudes como fenómeno de comunicación altamente interactivo en la escena del arte electrónico. Se analizan los conceptos transmedialidad e interdiscursividad como ‘modelos’ de un método de estudio del Libro-arte digital desde postulados semióticos. Asimismo, se establecen parangones entre dichos conceptos y Libros-arte digitales (Hiperlibros-arte) a fin de ilustrar, identificar y diferenciar diversas estrategias creativas utilizadas en este tipo de obras para articular su discurso, y por ende en la creación artística contemporánea de preceptos similares. Se ambiciona, a la postre, ofrecer herramientas para el análisis de obras fundamentadas en la concurrencia medial, las nuevas textualidades y los procesos comunicativos interactivos. The consolidation of the use of digital technologies in art, as in any type of cultural expression in general, has resulted in many cases in a contemporary creative praxis characterized by the integration of different media in a confluent way, that is, a contemporary artistic production that is meant by the hybridation of ‘old’ and ‘new’ media, formats, languages and textualities. Jenkins called ‘cultural convergence’ to this liminal creative scenario based on transmediality. The aim of this article is to provide a theoretical-practical comparative approach of the transmedial and interdiscursive parameters of the digital Book-art (Hyperbook-art) considering its aptitudes as a phenomenon of communication highly interactive in the electronic art scene. The concepts transmediality and interdiscursivity are analyzed as ‘models’ of a method of study of the digital Book-art from semiotic postulates. Additionally, comparisons between these concepts and digital Books-art (Hyperbooks-art) are stablished in order to illustrate, identify and differentiate the varied creative strategies used in this type of works to articulate their discourse, and therefore in the contemporary artistic creation of similar precepts. Savage Architectures. Ethnoarchaeology of Nilo-Saharan Houses of Western Ethiopia

El objetivo es mostrar que las casas de estas comunidades tienen un modelo espacial común, sobre el que se han desplegado diferentes variantes en la configuración interior de las casas a lo largo de su historia, incluso dentro de un mismo grupo étnico. Este modelo espacial común se materializa un tipo de casa que ordena las acciones y prácticas sociales de humanos y cosas siguiendo los principios fisiológicos del cuerpo humano.An ethnoarchaeological analysis of house buildings in Nilo-Saharan communities of Western Ethiopia is presented. The goal is to show that houses in these communities have a common spatial layout, and that several variations of their inner distribution have been implemented throughout their history, even within a single ethnic group. This common spatial layout is materialized in a type of house that orders actions and social practices involving human and things according to the physiological principles of the human body
La coautoría en Ciencias Sociales como estrategia para la mejora visibilidad de los trabajos científicos : aumento en el número de citas (2005-2014)
Get PDFCo-authorship is analyzed in WoS in the Social Sciences, Interdisciplinary category between 2005 and 2014, in order to demonstrate the hypothesis that there is a correlation between co-authorship and an increase in the number of citations. For this purpose, co-authorship has been analyzed both at the intrainstitutional, interinstitutional, national and international levels. It is observed how there is an increase in the citation of the works that have multi author relationships at both international and international level. The analysis and results have been made on a total of 1,105 documents relevant to our consultation, which is based on the fact that at least one author of the sea works of a Spanish institution.Se analiza la coautoría en los trabajos presentes en la WoS en la categoría Social Sciences, Interdisciplinary publicados entre los años 2005 y 2014, con el fin de demostrar la hipótesis de que existe una correlación entre la coautoría y el aumento del número de citas. Para ello se ha analizado la coautoría tanto a nivel intrainstitucional, interinstucional, nacional e internacional. Se observa como existe un aumento en la citación de aquellos trabajos que tienen relaciones de autoría múltiple tanto a nivel intrarregional como internacional. El análisis y los resultados se han realizado sobre un total de 1.105 documentos pertinentes para nuestra consulta, la cual se basa en que al menos un autor de los trabajos sea de una institución española
Spanish adaptation of the Perceived Personal Control (PPC) in genetic counseling
Get PDFObjetivo: Analizar la validez y la fiabilidad de la adaptación de la escala Perceived Personal Control (PPC) en el contexto español para pacientes portadoras de mutación en los genes BRCA1/2 responsables del cáncer de mama y ovario hereditario (CMOH). Método: Adaptación transcultural y validación de la escala Perceived Personal Control (PPC) desarrollada por Shiloh y colaboraradores mediante traducción, retrotraducción y validación a través de un análisis factorial exploratorio con rotación Oblimin en una muestra de 176 mujeres portadoras de genes BRCA 1/2 para CMOH. Resultados: La versión española de la PPC reduce a seis los nueve ítems de la escala original, dado que esta estructura es la que ofrece una solución factorial más satisfactoria. El análisis factorial mostró un solo factor que explica el 51,07% de la varianza, en el que todos los ítems tenían cargas factoriales por encima de 0,4. El coeficiente α de Cronbach fue de 0,84 para el conjunto de la escala, la cual permite obtener valores que oscilan entre 0 (bajo grado de percepción de control) y 2 (alto grado de percepción de control). Conclusiones: La adaptación española de la Escala de Percepción de Control (PPC6) posee propiedades psicométricas satisfactorias en la versión de 6 ítems con un solo factor, por lo que su utilización en contexto español Consejo Genético para cáncer hereditario parece adecuada.Purpose: The aim of this study was to analyze the reliability and validity of the spanish adaptation of the Perceived Personal Control (PPC) scale in women who were positive for BRCA1/2 genes, which are related with hereditary ovarian and breast cancer (HOBC). Method: PPC original items developed by Shiloh and co-workers were translated and back-translated in order to develop an spanish version which was analyzed by an exploratory factor analysis with Oblimin rotation. Answers to the spanish version were provided by a sample of 176 women who were positive for BRCA1/2 for HOBC. Results: Spanish version contains only six items of the nine original items, since this structure provided the optimal solution to the exploratory factor analysis. This version is a one-factor scale (51.07% of variance explained) and all items had factor loading values >0.4. The scale has good reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha =0.84) and gives a range of values between 0 (low perceived control) and 2 (high perceived control). Conclusions: Spanish adaptation (PPC6) of the original 9-items version has enough reliability and psychometric properties, and it seems to be useful to be applied in Genetic Counseling at spanish cultural settings
Experiencia del paciente: una nueva forma de entender la atención al paciente oncológico
Get PDFIn the present paper, the concept of Patient Experience (PX) is analyzed, as well as the variables that contribute to its improvement. The aim is to explain its clinical utility in the field of health, specifically on the oncology population, in addition to demonstrating the active role that Psychooncology can have in the implementation of this strategy, in direct relation with the humanization of health care. For this, the literature has been reviewed with empirical evidence that has existed up to now and which places the patient’s experience as an essential pillar when improving the quality of clinical care, together with the effectiveness of treatment and patient safety. These elements present a positive interaction between them and are moderated by the doctor-patient communication, which evidences the need to develop communication skills by professionals in clinical practice, the coordination of healthcare, access to services and perception of the patient regarding the care received. The patient’s experience is clinically relevant and influential in the recovery of the health status of the patient, as well as constitutes a change in the health culture, whose protagonist is the patient and around him must turn this change in a multidisciplinary and integral way of the health professionals involved in their care. It is concluded with a new line of action of the psycho-oncologist in the patient’s experience to promote a quality oncological service.En el presente trabajo se analiza el concepto de Experiencia del Paciente (PX) así como las variables que contribuyen a la mejora del mismo. El objetivo es explicar su utilidad clínica en el ámbito de la salud, en concreto sobre la población oncológica, además de demostrar el papel activo que la Psicooncología puede tener en la implementación de esta estrategia, en relación directa con la humanización de la asistencia sanitaria. Para ello, se ha revisado la literatura con evidencia empírica existente hasta el momento y que sitúa la experiencia del paciente como un pilar indispensable a la hora de mejorar la calidad de la atención clínica, junto con la efectividad del tratamiento y la seguridad del paciente. Estos elementos presentan una interacción positiva entre ellos y están moderados por la comunicación médico-paciente, lo que evidencia la necesidad de desarrollar habilidades de comunicación por los profesionales en la práctica clínica, la coordinación de la atención sanitaria, el acceso a los servicios y la percepción del paciente respecto a la atención recibida. La experiencia del paciente resulta clínicamente relevante e influyente en la recuperación del estado de salud del paciente, así como constituye un cambio en la cultura sanitaria, cuyo protagonista es el paciente y en torno a él debe girar dicho cambio de manera multidisciplinar e integral por parte de los profesionales sanitarios implicados en su cuidado. Se concluye con una nueva línea de actuación del psicooncólogo en la experiencia del paciente para promover un servicio oncológico de calidad

In order to achieve an effective transition, it´s necessary, from the concept art as an intermediary between plastic and mechanics, to construct the general aesthetic of the animated project from the character design and objects with the acting to generate an empathic bond with the public. The systematization of the experience will be focused on the main character, Gonzalo Guerrero Aroza, of the animated project, “Chronicles of the Edge of the World”, who will be the basis for the application of the plastic-mechanical dynamics that originate from the study of the visual and movement functions of the Character to achieve the appeal, and it works as a model for the creation of other characters or objects of animation.El diseño de concepto es el puente entre la narrativa y las etapas de la producción (modelos, estructuras, animación, efectos, texturas). Para lograr una efectiva transición, es necesario que, desde el diseño de concepto como intermediador entre la plástica y la mecánica, se construya la estética general del proyecto animado a partir del diseño de personajes u objetos y el acting para generar un vínculo empático con el público.
