El concierto sacro: de la iglesia a los salones y teatros
Get PDFIn the second half of the 19th century, the press often reported on performances of sacred music, both inside and outside the temple, especially coinciding with the most solemn celebrations, such as Holy Week. Initially the newspapers described and even commented on the music of liturgical celebrations, but as the century wore on, the references to performances of sacred music outside the church increased, focusing on its presence in the theatres and salons of civic associations, primarily during periods like Lent, when theatrical performances were forbidden. This article centres on the performances of sacred music in Spain during the second half of the nineteenth century, as well as its promoters, venues, repertoires and performers. Based on these findings, conclusions are drawn about the significance of these activities and the reception of particular works and composers. Finally, new lines of research are suggested.En la segunda mitad del siglo XIX abundan en la prensa las reseñas de interpretaciones de música sacra, dentro y fuera del templo, especialmente con motivo de las principales fiestas solemnes, como la Semana Santa. Inicialmente los periódicos describían e incluso comentaban la música de las funciones litúrgicas, pero a medida que avanza el siglo aumentaron las referencias a las interpretaciones de música religiosa fuera de los recintos sagrados y se centraron en su presencia en los teatros y salones de asociaciones cívicas, principalmente en periodos como la Cuaresma, cuando estaban prohibidas las representaciones teatrales. Este artículo se centra en las interpretaciones de música sacra en España durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIX, así como sus promotores, escenarios, repertorios y artistas. A partir de los datos obtenidos se extraen conclusiones sobre el significado de estas actividades y la recepción de determinadas obras y autores y se sugieren nuevas líneas de investigación
Recepción de música orquestal centroeuropea en la Catedral de León: la actividad del violinista Tomás Medrano (1783-1807)
Get PDFSpanish cathedrals played a significant role in the reception of European orchestral music in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. There is widespread evidence of this from various institutions. This article focuses on the Central-European repertoire preserved at León Cathedral. Its objective is to study the reception of these types of works at this cathedral. More specifically, this article aims to document how local musicians arranged and modified these compositions to suit the ensembles available to them. Particular attention is paid to the activity of the violinist Tomás Medrano during his time at the León Cathedral between 1783 and 1807. The article consists of three case studies, which illustrate how this musician copied and arranged orchestral pieces by Central-European composers.Las catedrales españolas jugaron un importante papel en la recepción de música orquestal europea a finales del siglo XVIII y principios del XIX. Numerosas evidencias procedentes de diversas instituciones así lo confirman. El presente artículo se centrará en el repertorio orquestal centroeuropeo que está conservado en la Catedral de León. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es conocer cómo fue la recepción de este tipo de obras en dicha catedral. Más específicamente, se pretende documentar cómo los músicos locales adaptaron y modificaron estas composiciones para adecuarlas a las plantillas disponibles. En este texto, se estudiará concretamente la actividad desarrollada por el violinista Tomás Medrano durante su estancia en la catedral leonesa entre los años 1783 y 1807. Get PDFThe aim of this study is to measure objectively and quantitatively different speech parameters in PSP for four years. The present investigation performed an acoustic analysis of sustained vowel phonation /a/, maximum phonatory time, numbers sentence (1,2,3,4) and rapid syllable repetition (/pa/, /ta/, /ka/ and /pataka/). Various parameters were considered: F0, intensity, formants, shimmer, jitter, harmonic-to-noise ratio (NHR), the mean number of syllables, the median syllable duration, voice onset time (VOT), speech rate, silence rate and prosodic elements. Alterations in voice and speech evolve towards articulatory imprecision, poor vocal quality, reduced TMF, reduced speech rate, decreased intonation variability and prolonged pauses in diadochokinesia. This analysis revealed a coincidence in time between progressive global speech impairment and highly percentage of incomplete clousures in VOT, with progressive dysphagia.El objetivo de este estudio es medir de forma objetiva y cuantitativa los distintos parámetros del habla en un caso de Parálisis Supranuclear Progresiva durante un periodo de cuatro años. Se realizó un análisis acústico de la vocal sostenida /a/, del automatismo “1,2,3,4” y de la repetición rápida de las sílabas /pa/, /ta/, /ka/ y /pataka/. Se consideraron diversos parámetros: la frecuencia fundamental (F0), el tiempo máximo fonatorio (TMF), la intensidad, los formantes, el shimmer, el jitter, el ruido en relación con los armónicos (NHR), la duración y el número de sílabas, el “Voice Onset Time” (VOT), la tasa de habla, la tasa de silencios y los aspectos prosódicos del habla. Las alteraciones en la voz y en el habla evolucionan hacia la imprecisión articulatoria, una pobre calidad vocal, reducido TMF, reducida tasa del habla, disminución de la variabilidad de la entonación y pausas prolongadas en las diadococinesias. Efectos de una intervención siguiendo el modelo enfocado en la familia para promover avances en el desarrollo del lenguaje de los niños
Get PDFThe family-focused model interventions, as a way towards the family-centered intervention practices, takes advantage of the natural situations of daily routines to promote the development of children. The objective of the study was to implement and evaluate the effectiveness of an intervention focused on four families to achieve progress in the communication skills of their five-year-old children, measured through standardized language tests, and analysis of communicative activities with the children, parents and with the researcher. Families participated in five meetings where useful strategies to help children to achieve new communication challenges were discussed. The analysis of the data highlights that all children have improved their communication skills, in all assessments. They also reflect once again the importance of communicative interaction between adults and children, and the potential of a family-focused intervention model to promote advances in the communicative development of children.La intervención siguiendo el modelo enfocado en la familia, como camino hacia las prácticas centradas en la familia, aprovecha las situaciones naturales de las rutinas diarias para promover el desarrollo de los niños. El estudio ha tenido como objetivo implementar y evaluar la eficacia de una intervención centrada en cuatro familias para conseguir el avance en las habilidades comunicativas de sus hijos de cinco años, medidas a través de pruebas estandarizadas de lenguaje, y de análisis de actividades comunicativas con los padres y con la investigadora. Las familias participaron en cinco reuniones donde se discutieron estrategias útiles para ayudar a los niños a superar nuevos retos comunicativos. El análisis de los datos pone de relieve que todos los niños han mejorado sus habilidades comunicativas, en todas las valoraciones. Asimismo, reflejan una vez más la importancia de la interacción comunicativa entre adultos y niños, y el potencial de una intervención siguiendo un modelo enfocado en la familia para promover avances en el desarrollo comunicativo de los niños

Get PDFThe shrublands in the mountains of the North-western Algeria were strongly affected by drought and fire. The degradation of these mountains for the benefit of crops and pastures affects more than 20% of the area occupied by these ecosystems. The analysis of biodiversity at these sites, through 04 stations (Tlemcen, Hafir, Sidi Djilali and Sebdou), shows a predominance of therophytes. Chamephytes (shrubs) also have an important place in the biological type. As regards, the phytogeographic aspect; Mediterranean species dominate with a high percentage of taxa. The characterization of ecological gradients, which influence the plant structure in the region, shows that physiognomic, latitudinal and altitudinal gradients affect biodiversity in this area. This ecological approach could be used to reorganize research topics with a global model for conservative management of these natural habitats.Los matorrales en las montañas del noroeste de Argelia se vieron fuertemente afectados por la sequía y el fuego. La degradación de estas montañas en beneficio de cultivos y pastos, afecta a más del 20% del área ocupada por estos ecosistemas. El análisis de la biodiversidad en estos sitios, a través de 4 estaciones (Tlemcen, Hafir, Sidi Djilali y Sebdou), muestra un predominio de terófitos. Caméfitos (arbustos) también tienen un lugar importante en el tipo biológico. En cuanto al aspecto fitogeográfico; Las especies mediterráneas dominan con un alto porcentaje de taxones. La caracterización de gradientes ecológicos, que influyen en la estructura de la planta en la región, muestra que los gradientes fisonómicos, latitudinales y altitudinales afectan la biodiversidad en esta área. Este enfoque ecológico podría utilizarse para reorganizar los temas de investigación con un modelo global para el manejo conservador de estos hábitats naturales.Les matorrals situés dans les montagnes du Nord-ouest d’Algérie, ont été fortement touchés par la sécheresse et le feu. La dégradation de ces montagnes au profit des cultures et des pâturages affecte plus de 20% de la surface occupée par ces écosystèmes. L’analyse de la biodiversité au niveau de ces sites, à travers 4 stations (Tlemcen, Hafir, Sidi Djilali et Sebdou), montre une prédominance des thérophytes. Les chaméphytes (arbustes) ont aussi une place importante dans le type biologique. En ce qui concerne l’aspect phytogéographique, les espèces méditerranéennes dominent avec un pourcentage élevé de taxons. La caractérisation des gradients écologiques, qui influencent la structure végétale dans la région, démontre que les gradients physionomiques, latitudinaux et altitudinaux affectent la biodiversité au niveau de cette zone. Évaluation de l'empreinte écologique à l'Université de Jaén, un outil pour la gestion de l'environnement
Get PDFThe impact that human activities have on Earth demands to change towards a more sustainable model. One of the assessment tools is the ecological footprint that has also been used as sustainable indicator in high education institutions. In this work the ecological footprint of the University of Jaén has been evaluated during the academic years 2011-12 to 2013-14. The obtained results show that the University needs an average of 9426.30 ha/year. Moreover, each person who studies, teaches, works, in Jaén university needs 0.55 ha/individual/year. The mobility, with 54,71 % of the ecological footprint is the principal activity concerning the CO2 emissions in the University of Jaén. Comparing with other Spanish universities, University of Jaén is one with higher ecological footprint per person. More environmental education programs and a more sustainable university management are needed.El impacto que las actividades humanas tienen sobre la Tierra exige un cambio hacia un modelo más sostenible. Una de las formas más utilizadas para evaluar este impacto es la huella ecológica, que recientemente ha sido aplicada a instituciones educativas. En este trabajo se evalúa la huella ecológica de la Universidad de Jaén durante los cursos académicos 2011-12 al 2013-14. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que se necesita de media 9426,30 ha/año y 0,55 ha/persona/año para compensar las emisiones generadas por las actividades llevadas a cabo por esta institución. La movilidad con un 54,71% es la principal actividad emisora de CO2. Comparando con otras universidades españolas, la Universidad de Jaén presenta una de las huellas ecológicas por persona más elevadas. Para reducir la huella ecológica, la Universidad de Jaén debe trabajar en incrementar la educación ambiental de su comunidad universitaria y realizar una gestión más sostenible.L'impact que les activités humaines ont sur la Terre nous oblige à changer vers un modèle plus durable. L'empreinte écologique est utilisée pour comprendre comment nous modifions notre écosystème mondial. Ce travail a évalué l'empreinte écologique de l'Université de Jaén entre 2012 et 2014. Les résultats obtenus montrent que l'Université a besoin d'une moyenne de 9426,30 ha / an. En outre, chaque personne qui étudie, enseigne, travaille, à Jaén l'université a besoin de 0,55 ha / individuels / an. La mobilité, avec 54,71% de l'empreinte écologique, est l'activité principale des émissions de CO2 de l'Université de Jaén. Comparant les universités espagnoles, l'Université de Jaén se des universités ayant le plus haut niveau d'empreinte écologique. El arquetipo de viaje en el cine moderno de terror: la historia de una subversión.
Get PDFThe archetype of the journey has an important role in the imaginary cultural heritage of the United States. Throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries, American literature would focus much of its arguments on the figurative and metaphorical journeys, like many of the classic Hollywood genres and those genuinely American such as the western. Over the years, in the context of the political, social and cultural crises that the United States would go through during the late sixties, modern horror cinema would appropriate of this archetype to carry out its final subversion. In the following article, we will deepen on the importance of the archetype of the journey within the American cultural imaginary and its subsequent fracture in times of social crisis, through the study of its evolution in the literature and film genres. The use of a multidisciplinary methodology will allow us to approach the subject from a perspective that includes the historical, artistic and social realities.La propia historia fundacional de Estados Unidos, que sienta sus bases sobre el viaje que los puritanos ingleses realizaron en el siglo XVII en busca de una nueva Jerusalén, explica el lugar de referencia que el arquetipo del viaje ostenta en el imaginario cultural de este país. A lo largo del siglo XIX y principios del XX, la literatura estadounidense centraría gran parte de sus argumentos en el viaje figurado y metafórico, al igual que muchos de los géneros del Hollywood clásico y genuinamente norteamericanos como el western. Con el paso del tiempo, en el contexto de la crisis política, social y cultural que atravesarían los Estados Unidos a finales de la década de los sesenta, el cine moderno de terror se apropiaría de este arquetipo para llevar a cabo la definitiva subversión del mismo. Communicative response of the andalusian ongd with the campaign ‘20 years of the ‘0,7’ in the context of crisis of the international cooperation
Get PDFEl artículo analiza la respuesta comunicativa de la Coordinadora Andaluza de ONGD (CAONGD) con la campaña conmemorativa ’20 años del 0,7’ en el contexto de crisis de la cooperación internacional al desarrollo (2008-2015). Los resultados, tras la entrevista a responsables de la campaña y la celebración de un grupo de discusión, evidencian tres escenarios: el primero, el fracaso inicial de una estrategia convencional centrada en denunciar los efectos de los recortes en cooperación que no conectan con la ciudadanía; el segundo, tras un giro estratégico, apelando a la memoria colectiva y al recuerdo de las acampadas estatales que reivindicaron que se destinase el 0,7% del PIB a la cooperación al desarrollo; y el tercero, demostrando que el espacio comunicativo natural de las entidades es el que se articula desde los planteamientos de la comunicación para el cambio social.The article discusses the communicative response of the Andalusian Coordinator of NGO (CAONGD) with the commemorative campaing ’20 year of 0,7’ in the context of the crisis of international cooperation for development (2008-2015). The results, after the interview responsible for the campaign and the celebration of a discussion group, show three scenarios: the first, the failure of an initial conventional approach focused report the effects of cuts in cooperation not connecting with citizens; the second, after a strategic shift, appealing to the collective memory and the memory of the State camps which claimed the 0.7% of GDP to development cooperation; and the third showing that natural communicative space of social entities which is articulated from the approaches of the communication for social change
