Los retweets de los candidatos como parte de la comunicación política
Get PDFThe current impact of social networks, especially Twitter, on the political communication strategies is transforming the way in which the electoral campaigns are organized. The purpose of this article within this context is to analyze the retweets issued by the leading presidential candidates during the electoral campaign for the 2016 Spanish general elections. By means of a mixed methodology where quantitative and qualitative methods of research are applied, it is possible to observe the relationship between politicians and the social environment, especially the mass media and citizens.La relevancia que poseen las redes sociales dentro de las estrategias de la comunicación política, especialmente en el caso de Twitter, está transformando el modo en que se gestionan las propias campañas electorales. En este contexto, este artículo tiene como objeto el análisis de los retweets emitidos por los principales candidatos durante la campaña electoral a la presidencia de Gobierno que tuvo lugar en 2016. A través del empleo de un método mixto, donde se aplican técnicas de investigación cualitativa y cuantitativa, se visualiza el retweet como la relación que mantienen los políticos con el entorno social, especialmente con los medios de comunicación y los ciudadanos
El cannabis terapéutico en los diarios españoles
Get PDFThis work analyzes the media coverage that the Spanish newspapers La Razón, El Mundo, El País, ABC and La Vanguardia gave to therapeutic cannabis, from the 1st of January to the 31st December of 2015. Using a content analysis methodology, we analyze and compare the treatment these newspapers give to cannabis issues. The results confirm the predominance of descriptive texts elaborated mainly with a single source. The main themes are legalization, addictions and, to a lesser extent, medicine, health and its adverse effects.El presente trabajo analiza la atención mediática que los diarios españoles La Razón, El Mundo, El País, ABC y La Vanguardia otorgan al cannabis terapéutico, desde el 1 de enero al 31 de diciembre de 2015. Mediante una metodología de análisis de contenido se analiza y compara el tratamiento que realizan los diarios mencionados. Los resultados confirman el predominio de textos descriptivos elaborados mayoritariamente con una sola fuente. La temática abordada se centra en la legalización, las adicciones y en menor medida en la medicina, la salud y sus efectos adversos
¿Padres secuestradores o empoderados? Cómo la cobertura mediática del caso Ashya King difundió la terapia de protones en la esfera pública
Get PDFThe case of Ashya King, the child brain tumour patient whose parents took from a British hospital so he could be treated with Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) abroad, contributed to popularize that technology among a general audience. Through the content analysis of British and Spanish press coverage (N=329), our research shows that proton therapy enjoyed scarce coverage in the analysed media before Ashya King’s case. His story, magnified due to the fact that his parents were Jehovah’s witnesses was a cause both for public concern and media sensationalism. We show that the case brought PBT into the public sphere and, consequently, contributed to create a demand for facilities that offered this therapy. This case provides new data about how technology and medical controversy reaches different audiences: while the sphere of experts keeps debating about the benefits of the therapy, the public sphere has already decided to adoptEl caso de Ashya King, el niño con un tumor cerebral cuyos padres sacaron de un hospital británico para que pudiera ser tratado con terapia de protones (TP) en el extranjero, contribuyó a popularizar esta tecnología entre el público. Mediante un análisis de contenido de la cobertura en diversos periódicos británicos y españoles (N=329), nuestro estudio muestra que la TP apenas tuvo cobertura antes del caso de Ashya King. Su historia, magnificada por el hecho de que sus padres eran Testigos de Jehová, despertó preocupación social y sensacionalismo mediático. Este caso llevó la TP a la esfera pública y contribuyó a crear una demanda de instalaciones que ofrecieran esta terapia. El caso proporciona nueva información sobre cómo la tecnología y las controversias médicas llegan a diferentes audiencias: mientras que la esfera de expertos sigue debatiendo los posibles beneficios de la terapia, la esfera pública ya ha decidido adoptarla

No full textLa determinación del nivel de exigencia en la actuación de la Administración Concursal a la hora de confeccionar el informe constituye la cuestión fundamental en el desarrollo de este documento regulado en los arts. 74 y 75 de la Ley Concursal. En este sentido, sólo a través de la fijación del patrón de conducta de los profesionales al afrontar esta tarea podremos establecer hasta dónde llegan los límites de su actuación.
