Conceptualization of SMART strategy making and its adaptation to the corporate sector of the economy
No full textУ статті здійснено науково-теоретичне обґрунтування концептуальних засад SMART-стратегування та його адаптації до потреб корпоративного сектору економіки. Розкрито сутність SMART-підходу як сучасної методики стратегічного управління, яка поєднує цільову орієнтацію на результат із чіткими критеріями оцінювання досягнення поставлених завдань. Зазначено, що ключовими принципами SMART-стратегування є специфічність, вимірюваність, досяжність, релевантність та обмеженість у часі, що забезпечує прозорість процесу стратегічного планування й підвищує його ефективність.
Особлива увага приділяється структурі SMART-стратегії, що охоплює етапи формулювання цілей, вибору ключових показників ефективності (KPI), визначення ресурсного забезпечення та механізмів реалізації, а також моніторинг і коригування стратегічних рішень. Доведено, що використання SMART-методики в корпоративному секторі сприяє посиленню інноваційної активності, зростанню конкурентоспроможності підприємств і створенню передумов для їхнього сталого економічного розвитку.
У дослідженні наголошується на необхідності адаптації SMART-індикаторів до особливостей корпоративних структур, врахування галузевих специфік, масштабів діяльності та рівня цифрової трансформації. Запропоновано узагальнену модель застосування SMART-стратегування у корпоративному управлінні, яка поєднує стратегічні цілі підприємства з вимогами динамічного ринкового середовища. Результати дослідження можуть бути використані як методична основа для розробки дієвих стратегій інноваційного та економічного розвитку корпоративних підприємств.The article provides a theoretical and conceptual justification of SMART-strategizing and its adaptation to the needs of the corporate sector of the economy. The essence of the SMART approach is revealed as a modern methodology of strategic management that combines a clear goal orientation with measurable criteria for assessing the achievement of set objectives. It is emphasized that the key principles of SMART-strategizing include specificity, measurability, attainability, relevance, and time-boundedness, which ensure the transparency of the strategic planning process and increase its efficiency.
Particular attention is paid to the structure of the SMART strategy, which covers the stages of goal formulation, selection of key performance indicators (KPIs), determination of resource support and implementation mechanisms, as well as monitoring and adjustment of strategic decisions. It has been proved that the application of the SMART methodology in the corporate sector promotes innovation activity, strengthens enterprise competitiveness, and creates prerequisites for sustainable economic development.
The study highlights the need to adapt SMART indicators to the specifics of corporate structures, taking into account industry characteristics, scale of activity, and the level of digital transformation. A generalized model for the application of SMART-strategizing in corporate management is proposed, which integrates the strategic goals of the enterprise with the requirements of a dynamic market environment. The results of the research can be used as a methodological basis for developing effective strategies of innovative and economic development of corporate enterprises
Actuarial activities in life insurance and critical illness insurance (including health insurance): features of the theory and practice of genetic discrimination
No full textУ роботі проаналізовані сучасні тенденції особливостей теорії та практики генетичної дискримінації під час актуарної діяльності у страхуванні життя та страхуванні на випадок хвороби (у тому числі медичному страхуванні). Систематизовано захворювання генетична інформація про ймовірність розвитку яких наразі найбільш часто використовується страховими компанія для оцінки страхових ризиків у страхуванні. Обґрунтовано, що для якісної інтерпретації генетичної інформації потрібно враховувати всі інші фактори про стан здоров’я заявника на страхування. При цьому, визначено, що наслідками неправильної інтерпретації генетичної інформації заявників на страхування можуть бути хибні актуарні розрахунки, генетична дискримінація, зростання/зниження вартості страхової послуги тощо.This article provides an in-depth examination of prevailing trends in the conceptual and applied dimensions of genetic discrimination within actuarial practices governing life insurance and critical illness insurance, including health insurance. Particular emphasis is placed on the expanding role of genetic information in underwriting procedures and actuarial risk stratification.
The study systematizes categories of diseases for which genetic data concerning the probability of disease manifestation are most frequently utilized by insurance undertakings in the evaluation of insurance risks. It is convincingly argued that the valid and methodologically sound interpretation of genetic information necessitates a holistic assessment of the insurance applicant’s overall health profile, incorporating clinical, environmental, and behavioral determinants. The article demonstrates that the fragmented or erroneous interpretation of genetic data may result in distorted actuarial estimations, institutionalized forms of genetic discrimination, and economically unjustified adjustments in insurance premiums.
Empirical cases of genetic discrimination arising in actuarial activities within the domains of life and health insurance are subjected to systematic analysis. The findings reveal that the most recurrent manifestations of genetic discrimination in insurance markets encompass: (1) outright denial of insurance coverage or the imposition of actuarially inflated premiums, particularly in relation to African Americans carrying the sickle cell anemia gene; (2) adverse modification of contractual conditions or refusal to insure individuals exhibiting a genetic predisposition to Huntington’s disease; and (3) exclusion from coverage under health insurance policies for individuals possessing gene mutations associated with an elevated risk of developing Long QT syndrome.
The article further substantiates a set of regulatory and financial mechanisms aimed at mitigating genetic discrimination in insurance practice. These mechanisms include the application of individualized premium-setting models, the establishment of segregated insurance risk pools, and the partial subsidization of life insurance costs through public budgetary instruments

No full textВихідним положенням цього дослідження є припущення, що архітектурно опосередковане місце — мережевий вузол та осередок ідеології — це територія перманентного впливу, який здатний відтворювати запрограмований режим відносин і відповідно налаштовувати соціальні простори. Особлива напруга виникає у зв’язку з місцями-рештками політичних систем минулого, які були опорами цих систем: підключені до іншого контексту вони стають анахронічними надлишками, що по-різному інтегруються в оточення. Саме такими є архітектурні пам’ятки тоталітаризму — ідеологічно навантажені агенти соціалізації, політична роль яких дестабілізується або ж трансформується в нове значення. У фокусі статті — декілька прикладів, які демонструють різні позиції відносно складної архітектурної спадщини і види її трансформацій, та найбільше уваги зосереджено на одному з них — будівлі Музею Леніна в Києві, апропрійованому Українським Домом, представницькою інституцією, що успадкувала усталені способи позиціонування і моделі відносин, які часто стають дієвими в нових формах репрезентації. За умови нечутливості та цілеспрямованого забуття ці установки латентно легітимізуються, тому ефективне підважування є потребою і вимагає критичної взаємодії з архітектурним простором, а не системою позначень. Мистецтво як просторова практика може бути таким інструментом: воно оприявнює і змінює характери місця, демонструє неочевидні конфлікти, пропонує побічну реальність. Користуючись прикладом тимчасового виставкового проєкту «Ти як?» в Українському Домі, інсталяції мистецтва воєнного стану, що ситуативно апропріювала і перформувала архітектурний простір, виявлено точки дотику, які можуть допомогти в інтенційному переосмисленні архітектурної пам’ятки й напрацюванні стратегій продуктивної взаємодії. Просторова модель Анрі Лефевра, категорія характеру Крістіана Норберґа-Шульца і теорія територіалізованого асамбляжу Кіма Дові стали допоміжними в цьому.The starting point of this study is the hypothesis that an architecturally mediated place – network node and center of ideology – is the territory of permanent influence, which is capable to reproduce programmed relations regime and adjust social spaces in accordance to it. The unusual tension emerges in relations with places-remains of political systems of the past: connected to another context they become an anachronistic surplus, differently integrated to the surrounding. Totalitarian architectural memorials are of this kind – ideologically strengthened agents of socialization, whose political role is destabilized or transformed into new meaning. Several examples are considered in this article in order to demonstrate different positions in dealing with difficult architectural heritage, but Lenin’s Museum building in Kyiv is explored most of all. It has been appropriated by the Ukrainian House, a representative institution, which inherited established ways of positioning and relation models – often active in new forms of representation. These ways are legitimized due to insensibility and purposeful forgetfulness. That’s why an effective subversion is a demand and it requires a critical interaction with architectural space, but not with a denotation system. The art as a spatial practice can be such an instrument: it displays and changes characters of place, demonstrates unobvious conflicts and proposes side reality. Using the example of temporary exhibition “How are you?” in Ukrainian House – the installation of wartime art which is situationally appropriated and performed the architectural space – it has been revealed the contact points which could be useful in intentional rethinking of architectural memorial and developing strategies of productive interaction. The spatial model of Henri Lefebvre, character category of Christian Norberg-Schulz and theory of territorialized assemblage of Kim Dovey were useful in this research

National and International Dimensions of Economic Sensibility Ensuring Economic Security in the Context of Global Geoeconomic Rivalry
No full textСтаття присвячена комплексному аналізу проблем економічної безпеки в умовах загострення геоекономічного суперництва. Автор досліджує сучасні виклики, пов’язані з дестабілізацією глобальних ланцюгів постачання, зростаючою енергетичною та продовольчою залежністю, технологічними ризиками та асиметрією доступу до ресурсів. Здійснено порівняльний аналіз підходів до забезпечення економічної безпеки, зокрема в США, Китаї та Україні.
Висвітлено значення стратегічної автономії, цифрової трансформації та інституційної стійкості у формуванні національного потенціалу опору зовнішнім загрозам. У статті також проаналізовано стан і виклики для окремих галузей, зокрема промисловості, агросектору та інфраструктурних об’єктів. Особливу увагу приділено прикладам підприємств Черкаської області, які демонструють адаптивність в умовах обмеженого ресурсного доступу та зростаючих ризиків.
Запропоновано авторську модель оцінки економічної чутливості суб’єктів господарювання до зовнішніх загроз з урахуванням геоекономічного контексту. Результати дослідження мають прикладне значення для формування стратегії економічної безпеки на національному і регіональному рівнях, а також для удосконалення політики економічного прогнозування, інституційного захисту та стратегічного планування в умовах трансформації глобального економічного порядку.The article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the problems of economic security in the context of intensifying geo-economic rivalry. The author explores contemporary challenges related to the destabilization of global supply chains, growing energy and food dependence, technological risks, and asymmetry in access to resources. A comparative analysis of approaches to ensuring economic security at macro and micro levels is carried out, particularly in the USA, China, and Ukraine. The importance of strategic autonomy, digital transformation, and institutional resilience in shaping national capacity to resist external threats is highlighted. The study also examines the state and challenges facing specific sectors, including industry, agriculture, and infrastructure. Particular attention is paid to the examples of enterprises in the Cherkasy region, which demonstrate adaptability under conditions of limited resource access and increasing risks. The author proposes a model for assessing the economic sensitivity of business entities to external threats, taking into account the geo-economic context. The results of the research have practical value for developing national and regional strategies of economic security, as well as for improving policies in economic forecasting, institutional protection, and strategic planning in the context of the transformation of the global economic order
