POD & MLSM Application on DU96-W180 Wind Turbine Airfoil
No full textIn this study, the aim was to reduce the complexity of the costly non-linear unsteady partial differential equations governing the aerodynamic flows into a simpler lower-dimensional model. Modal decomposition method; namely Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD) was applied in conjunction with the Modified Linear Stochastic Measurement (MLSM) to achieve a reduced order model with high accuracy and low computational cost. The methods were applied to the surface pressure values of a DU96-W180 Wind Turbine Airfoil with emphasis on stall control application. It was found that using only three POD modes, most of the system energy (up to 99%) was captured where the reconstructed pressure distribution matched the CFD one obtained from OpenFOAM simulations. Besides, using only two pressure probes, one upstream and the other downstream, the surface pressure field was reconstructed with high accuracy. This application is important in reducing the computational time from several hours to just few seconds for applications involving recursive solution of the Navier-Stokes equations

Analysis of Polychlorinated Quaterphenyl in Yusho Diagnosis from 2014 to 2016
No full textConcentration of polychlorinated quaterphenyl (PCQ) in blood is an important chemical diagnostic standard in Yusho. In this study, we examined improvement of analytical method, and blood analysis was performed using this method. New method made it possible to analyze more quickly than our usual method. During the period of 2014 to 2016, a total of 143 bloods PCQ were analyzed. As a result, PCQ was detected from a total of 19 persons, and the range of PCQ concentrations were 0.02-6.15 ppb. From the time course of the PCQ concentration determined in blood of Yusho patients, PCQ is found not to be eliminated than PCB. The concentration of PCQ is an important knowledge for diagnosis of Yusho-disease and it is thought that itʼs necessary to continuously analyze in the future

Through examining the education of the vocation, by the vocation, and for the vocation. What is the Quality Endorsement (or QA) system that supports Quality TVET? Through National Qualifications Frameworks (NQFs) based on competencies and Learning outcomes. This paper presents the model training programme of care workers that is of international applicability based on the results of a pilot project aimed at developing an education and training programme to ensure the necessary size, quality and specialisation of Japan’s aged care workforce in light of the ageing population and diverse aged care needs. We have investigated various approaches such as “outcome-focussed” model in Australia and “dual model” in Germany and discuss the issues regarding their career paths and collaboration with medical staffs during the process of visualization of their vocational levels. Certified care workers as relatively new healthcare-related occupation in Japan are searching approaches as a specialist occupation. On the other hand, they could create conflict with bordering healthcare occupations. Therefore, there is demand for a standardised programme in dialogues with the diverse stakeholders and a tertiary education-level programme to build on practical vocational skills
