PENGEMBANGAN SOAL TES POTENSI AKADEMIK NUMERIK PENERIMAAN SISWA BARU SMP BERBANTUAN MEDIA BERBASIS WIRELESS APPLICATION PROTOCOL JAVA 2 MICRO EDITION (J2ME)
Get PDFAbstract : Tes Potensi Akademik (TPA) is a test that be held to measure the probability of individual success for continuing their study to higher grade as well as for Elementary School Students. This reseach aims to develop TPA Numeric Package which have high validity, reliability, flexibility, and also high mobility in quantitative test. The research subjects are 20 students of Primagama. The research objects are 5 packages of TPA that be applied to a mobile application. The analysis result shows that Package 1 has 97,5% validity, 0,852 of reliability, 27,5% of easy questions, 70 % of medium question, 2,5% of difficult questions. Package 2 has 97,5% validity and 0,841 of reliability, 42,5% easy level, 52,5% medium level, and 3% difficult level. Package 3 has 99% validity dan 0,826 of reliability, 40% easy level, 52,5% medium level, and 7,5% difficult level. Package 4 has 92,5% of validity, 0,870 of reliability, 35% of easy level, 52,5% medium level, and 12,5% difficult level. Package 5 has 97,5% validity, 0.899 of reliability, 37,5% easy level, 57,5% medium level, and 5% difficult level. A DESCRIPTIVE STUDY ON THE CLASS X-2 STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY MASTERY THROUGH NARRATIVE TEXTS TAKEN FROM THE INTERNET AT SMAN 11 SURABAYA
Get PDFAbstract : Vocabulary is the most important aspect of a language that must be mastered by the students who learn a language. In general, students have difficulty in learning English, especially in vocabulary because they lack of vocabulary and grammar of L1. Therefore, the English teacher is expected to be able to cover the students’ problems in vocabulary mastery. This research is intended to describe class X-2 students’ vocabulary mastery by using Narrative texts taken from the Internet on the vocabulary mastery. As many as 38 students from class X-2 who were detemined purposively became the subject of this research. Get PDFAbstract : Card sort active learning model is a card sort activity card sort of learning by selecting cards basd on category. Card sort learning model can be used to teach concepts, characteristics, classification, or reviewing information. Active learning model card sort has not give a real phenomenon of all the material studied so it needs to be combined with mind mapping technique. Mind mapping technique makes biological learning easier. In classical, the result of activity in t-test showed that it was very significant because the probability (P) < 0.01. In classical, showed that the score of mean difference on pre-test and post-test of experiment class was higher 11.1 than control class 9.8. While the data of cognitive result (pre-test ,post-test and value assignment) was analysed by ANCOVA test and t test it showed that it was significant because of the probability (P) < 0.05. The student learning outcomes can also be seen in their affective domain. While the result of t test showed significant by increas with the probability (P) < 0.05. Get PDFAbstract : Polya model is one of problem solving model that help the students for solving mathematics problems. Furthermore, Polya defines problem solving as an attempt to find the way out from one difficultness, and reach the unreachable objective that cannot be solved at once. The research aims are (1) how do the Polya problem solve appliment solve the problem solving questions, (2) how do the activities of the students as long as Polya problem solve appliment occur to solve the problem solving questions, (3) how do the student learn finishment after Polya problem solving appliment occur to solve the problem solving question. The research subjects are for analyzing qualitative and quantitative data. The research result shows that category activity in the “rexamine” and “presentation” are the lowest. The learning activity result in the first cycle are 68,8% student complete and not fulfill the classical absorptive power because of ≤ 70%. The second cycle result is increasing of learning result for 75,7% which means has reached classical complement. So, the research has fulfilled the research aims. The research problem was the students’ difficulties in mastering the vocabularies of the target language. To solve this problem, guessing games in the form of crossword puzzle and riddle was used to know whether or not there is a significant effect of using guessing games on the eight year students’ vocabulary achievement. The research design was experimental research with posttest only control group design. The primary data were collected by vocabulary posttest. Get PDFAbstract. The credibility of a civil very influential in giving learning motivation to learning association. The credibility of a tutor motivator is giving motivation to learning association in order that they do not think that equivalency programs C school package just to get the diploma but the view of the future are straight and wide. Besides that, tutor is also a communicator, facilitator, dinamisator, innovator, manager of learning and as a model worthy of emulate. This research is determine whether there are factors - factors that affect the credibility of the tutor to give motivation to learning association of equivalency programs C learning package in Studio C Learning (LCS) Situbondo year 2011/2012. This research is quantitative, and using primary data in the form of a questionnaire given to 35 residents learn SKB Situbondo C package. Determination of the sample in this study using purposive sampling criteria that have followed the teaching and learning process at least 1 semester, among 16 to 18 years old, and residents learned Packet C. Data analysis was performed with the help of computer calculations with the program Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) 16 series and testing the hypothesis with a simple linear regression method. The results of the study showed that not all indicators of the credibility of the civil variables have a significant effect on the indicator variable equal educational learning motivation of citizens in the LCS package C Situbondo. IMPROVING THE 8TH GRADE STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY ACHIEVEMENT BY USING PICTURE FILES AT SMP NURIS JEMBER IN THE 2011/2012 ACADEMIC YEAR
Get PDFAbstract : This research was intended to improve the 8thgrade students vocabulary achievement and active participation in teaching learning process by using picture files. The research subject was the 8th grade studentsof SMP Nuris Jember because this school had only one single class of the 8th grade students and their mean score was 62.02 or 27.8% which was less then 70 as standart score of school. The data collection methods used were vocabulary achievement test and observation. The results of post test were analysedbyusing the formula and.The action was considered successful if the students’ mean score in vocabulary test was ≥ 70. The results of observation during the implimentation of the action were analysed by using the formula .The action was considered successful if the students’ were active in the vocabulary learning process was ≥ 75%. The mean score in the scicle 1 was 67.8 or 55.6% and the result ofthe studens’ active participation in cycle 1 was 68.05% it concluded that the action given in the first cycle had not been successful yet. As the result, we conducted cycle 2 with revising the clear and big picture, not only the teacher had picture files but students too, the teacher gave the text in each groupin cycle 2. The mean score in the scicle 2 was 72.9 or 77.8% and the result ofthe studens’ active participation in cycle 2 was 81.95%. It was concluded that the action given in the second cycle showed improvement and successfully achieved the evaluation criteria of this research. Therefore, the actions were stoped because this classroom action research had already been successful both in the students’ vocabulary achievement and the students’ active participation.Some suggestions were proposed to the English teacher to apply picture files in teaching vocabulary so that help them easily understand the material taught. PENGUASAAN GURU BIOLOGI SMA SWASTA KABUPATEN JEMBER TENTANG ASESMEN PORTOFOLIO DALAM UPAYA PEMBERDAYAAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KREATIF
Get PDFAbstract : The purpose of this study was to determine mastery of a private high school biology teacher in the district of Jember on portfolio assessment in an effort to empower creative thinking skills and knowing the constraints that affect the control of the private high school biology teacher in the district of Jember on portfolio assessment in undertakings empowering creative thinking skills. This research is descriptive. The study design with qualitative and quantitative methods. Techniques of data collection from respondents with methods of documentation, questionnaires and interviews. Results showed mastery of the private high school biology teacher portfolio assessment portfolio assessment involves understanding the result was 73%, an objective assessment of the assessment portfolio by 35%, the definition of a portfolio with 73% percentage, systematic preparation of portfolio percentage 50% and the translation of the portfolio elements by 35%. Constraints affecting private high school biology teacher mastery of the assessment portfolio include time efficiency with a percentage of 86% with the criteria of influence, and material incompatibility with portfolio assessment forms by 73% with the criteria quite affecting, and the difficulty to assess the percentage of 60% with criterion is quite affecting. Get PDFAbstract : his research is motivated by one of the speak events which was interesting to studied, especially the speak events at thesis proposal seminar forum of Jember university educational studies program language and Indonesia literature students. These errors language are discovered in the process of speaking seminar thesis proposal, the students still use speech that structurally incompatible with rule right speech, some have excessive speech, but some use incomplete speech, so the meaning of the spoken speech is unclear and difficult to understood by the partner they said. The method that used descriptive method and type of qualitative research. The results of this research describe the form of omission, addition,misformation and misodering, so it make a ineffective speech. Error speech at the seminar thesis proposal makes unclear meaning, meaning difficult to understand, blurring the meaning of the sentence, and the ambiguous meaning in a speech making ineffective speech.
