    This research to analyze the attitude of farmers against rice seed certified, analyze the factors forming attitudes, analyze the relationships between the factors forming the attitude with the attitude of farmers, as well as analyzing the difference in the attitude of farmers. This study determined the location intentionally (purposive) in Karangpandan Subdistrict, Karanganyar District. Using multi-stage random cluster sampling. The data are classified using the width of the interval. To find out the relationship between the factors forming the attitude with the attitude of farmers rice against the rice seed certified used Spearman Rank correlation test (rs). To know the difference in the attitude of farmers used Wilcoxon test using a computer program SPSS 16.0 for windows. The results showed that the respondent's age category high, formal education category low, personal experience category medium, the influence of other people considered important category very high, and the influence of the mass media categories medium. The attitude of farmers against Seed Certified Padi 56.67%, farmers very agree rice certified seed. Rank Spearman correlation test based on 95% confidence level indicates that the relationship was not significant between age and the influence of mass media with the attitude of farmers rice against the rice seed certified. The significant relationship between formal education with the attitude of farmers rice against the rice seed certified. While personal experience has a very significant relationship but in the opposite direction and influence others who are considered essential to have a very significant relationship in one direction with the attitude of farmers against rice seed certified

    Arrowroot is a plant that has not been widely cultivated in Indonesia. Arrowroot not considered to be a source of food but is often planted in the yard in the countryside as a food reserve during the dry season.Thisresearch is done to determine the number of seeds and optimum organic fertilizer dosage used for optimize growth and yield of arrowroot. Experiment  was performed in dryland of experimental field of Agriculture Faculty of SebelasMaret University in Jumantono, Karanganyar. This research was arranged using Complete Randomized Blocked Design (CRBD) factorial with 2 factors of treatment that is the number of seeds and doses of organic fertilizer.The seed quantity consists of 2 levels, which are  J1(1 seed per planting hole) and J2 (2 seeds per planting hole). The dose of organic fertilizer consist of 3 levels of P1 (2.5 ton / ha), P2 (5 ton / ha) and P3 (7.5 ton / ha). Data were analyzed using DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test). The results showed that the 2 seed per planting hole treatment resulted in better growth and yield of garut on the variable of leaf number, tuber length and tuber weight per plot each of them 26,11 sheet, 23,09 cm and 7,60 kg. The organic fertilizer did not give significant result to the growth and yield of the arrowroot, but organic fertilizer of 5 ton / ha dose tends to give higher yield on number of tuber, tuber weight per plot and tuber diameter

    Soybean crop area that is unstable causing the production of soybean in the District Grobogan as one of the centers in Central Java soybean fluctuated sharply. This study aims to 1) Review and analyze the factors that affect soybean supply in the District Grobogan and 2) Review and analyze the elasticity of supply in the District Grobogan soybean due to changes in the factors that influence it. He method used in this research is descriptive method. Determination of the study area is done by purposive technique with consideration of the area has the largest soybean yield compared to other districts, namely Grobogan district with 15,71 quintal per hectare productivity. Results of secondary data analysis states that the supply function model of soybean in the District Grobogan is Qt = bo + 13,544 Pt-1 to 0,098 Qt-1 + 1,404 At – Purea 24,119 – 3,077 + 7,191 Wt PSP36 with coefficient of determination 0,891 Calculated F value obtained at 15,030, which means that the variable price of soybeans a year earlier, the amount of soybean production last year, the total area harvested during the year, the price of urea fertilizer, the price of SP 36 on the year

    Mulch was often applied on chili pepper cultivation. It aimed to cover the soil from various factors which can reduce the yield. This research aims to study the effect of various types of mulch (silver-black plastic and straw) to soil chemical properties, population of PSB, and chili pepper yield (harvest time, weight of dry plant biomass, and weight of fresh fruit per plant), also to study the correlation between the population of PSB with chili pepper yield. The research has been conducted from December 2015 until October 2016, on an inceptisol field in Ngemplak, Boyolali. The variables of this research are soil properties (pH, organic-carbon, total-N, available-P, and exchangeable-K), total-PSB, and chili pepper yield (harvest time, a weight of dry plant biomass, and weight of fresh fruit per plant). The result showed that various types of mulch application significantly increased soil-pH, soil total-N, soil available-P, total-PSB, a weight of dry plant biomass, a weight of fresh fruit per plant, and fastened harvest time. It also tends to increase organic-carbon and soil exchangeable-K. There were strong correlations between total-PSB and harvest time, a weight of dry plant biomass, and weight of fresh fruit per plant. The best result showed by silver-black plastic mulch application

    This study aims to analyze the role of auction market institutions in marketing the chili by sand land farmer community in Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta. This study was a quantitative study using questioner, interviews, and observations to collect the data. The results showed that the auction market institutions formed sand land farmer community had the effective roles in the marketing of chili including the exchange function, physical function, and the provision of infrastructure function. The existence of the auction market was able to increase the bargaining position of farmers to middlemen traders through the sale of the auction system. The concept of exchange theory in the marketing system of chili gave rewards toward the increasing of chili selling price and provided service marketing which made the work of farmers more effective. In addition, the auction market system gave sacrifices to farmers in the form of non-cash payments, but the auction market managers provided certainty of payment. The comparison between rewarded with the sacrifice still gave more value to the farmer's profit, it made the farmers repeating the marketing of chili through auction markets

    Deterioration or degradation of land is a phenomenon that occurs in many areas of cultivated land for agricultural cultivation. Incompatibility of land uses, such as soil excavation business excavation in wetland C for other purposes, is a cause soil damage. Former mining lands generally have physical properties, chemical and biological bad for plant growth, so that should be considered in its use, particularly to do with efforts t maintain soil fertility. The study, entitled “Improvements Efforts Rice Land Fertility Status Degraded With Addition of Organic Materials” aims to determine the effect of the use of organic matter in improving soil fertility in degraded wetland as well as the growth and yield of rice (Oryza sativa, L). the experiment was conducted in April to November 2011. This research is a pot experiment conducted at the Greenhouse Garden College of Agriculture Experiment UNS. Consist of 6 treatments namely P0: Control, P1: treatment of inorganic fertilizer/artificial as recommended, P2: the treatment of organic matter (manure), a dose of 5 to ha-1, P3: the treatment of organic material (fertilizer Bokashi), a dose of 5 ton ha-1, P4: the treatment of manure and inorganic fertilizer recommendation (50% : 50%) and P5: treatment Bokashi fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer recommendation (50% : 50%) and repeated four times and placed at random. Research using Complete Randomized Design (CRD) a single factor. The observation variables were observed: 1. Independent variables: a. Without treatment of organic fertilizer (using inorganic fertilizer recommended) b. Treatment of manure and fertilizer materials Bokashi (dose f 5 to ha-1), 2. Dependent variable: A variable is a variable bound observations of soil chemical properties (properties that are used as a determinant of soil fertility), which consist: soil pH, soil organic matter content (organic C), base saturation (KB), cation exchange capacity (CEC) and P-available soil. As well as the growth and yield of rice plants. The results showed that administration of organic fertilizers can increase soil fertility of degraded fields, proved to increase growth and yield of rice, such as plant height, dry weight, brangkasan above, the number of tillers in the treatment of organic material (fertilizer Bokashi) were harvested for grain yield and yield dry weight 1000 highest seed obtained in the treatment of manure and inorganic fertilizer recommendation (50% : 50%) compared with other treatments especially compared with controls

    Subdistrict Kebakkaramat was the region with the second largest number after sub-district industrial Jaten. Kebakkramat industry in the district is dominated by the textile industry wastewater produced allegedly pollute streams and rivers used by farmers as irrigation water. Waste that pollutes streams and rivers is thought to contain Cr. The use of irrigation water suspected to contain Cr feared to be absorbed by plants and then accumulates in the grain. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the content of Cr in the irrigation water, soil, and paddy rice fields. This research uses descriptive exploratory methods implemented through field surveys and followed by laboratory analysis. Variable observations from this study include Cr. Cr at all observation points, except the control, does not correspond to the irrigation water quality standard, that exceeds a predetermined limit is 0.01 ppm

The study titled “Engineering super organic fertilizer formula in vegetable cultivation on spinach (Amaranthus sp) aims to a). getting a super-organic fertilizer formula, the most good, b). knowing the influence of various super organic fertilizer formula on growth and yield of vegetable Amaranthus sp. The experiment was conducted from April to November 2010. Five kinds of super-organic fertilizer, which is an engineering formula fertilizer that s made from a mixture of manure, sawdust, dolomite, rock phosphate, molasses and starch in the form of granules, making it easier in applying and provide with the same dose. As ground control does not super plus organic fertilizer. Research using Randomized Complete Block Design (RAKL) single factor. The observed variables are observed 1. Independent variables: a. Without organic fertilizer and b. The use of super-organic fertilizer formula 2. Dependent variables include soil chemical properties (properties which are used as a determinant of soil fertility), which consist of: soil pH, soil organic matter content (organic C), cation exchange capacity (KPK), Burnout base (KB), and P is available, and growth spinach plants. The results showed that: super organic fertilizer formula is best P5G2 (mixture of manure, rock phosphate and dolomite with starch adhesive), proved its influence on growth and yield of spinach, either on plant fresh weight, dry weight, root volume and uptake of N gave the highest yield compared with other treatments

    This research aimed to identify needs and problems the small and medium enterprises of agribusiness, to formulate the internal and external factors in to strengthness, weakness, opportunities and treatness in development of agribusiness, to formulate alternative strategies in development of agribusiness with agribusiness development center in developing of agribusiness partnership, to formulate the priority strategies in development of agribusiness with agribusiness development center in developing of agribusiness partnership, and to formulate the value chain in development of agribusiness with agribusiness development center in developing of agribusiness partnership at Sukoharjo Regency. Te basic method used in this research is descriptive analytic method with survey techniques and focus group discussion. The method to determine the location of the research done by purposive, namely Sukoharjo Regency. Sampling method to determine the factors internal and external done snowball, while the method of determining the weight and attractiveness Score (AS) performed intentionally (purposively). Data type applied in this research is primary data and secondary data. Data analysis method applied were SWOT analysis, SWOT matrix, QSP matrix, and value chain analysis. The results of SWOT analysis to show internal factors that the strengths in developing agribusiness of cattle cow were a large of many and expand of cattle breeder in Sukoharjo Regency, quality of cow were good and continuity of production, a large of many potency of nature resources, institution of cluster were strength. The weakness were production factors are limited, especially of cattle food, a low of capacity of human resources in to access for breeding and technology, health of cow, access of market and information of price, a lack of marketing, a low of optimally in management of cattle, management of cattle still traditionally, and hereditary, and so a lack of capital capacity. The external factors that the opportunities were simplify of capital access at banking, institution of micro finance, credits with light of interest, a large of foods cattle from small and medium enterprises central else, a demand of met cow and product of meat cow processing, a development policy of small and medium enterprises from province and state government, technology processing of process remainder of cattle, easier of development quality of meat and breeding. The treathness were a limited of superior of seed, a limited of production factors, especially of food cattle, a association or cooperation of cattle breeder was not yet, a import policy of meat cow, a policy programme of small and medium enterprises development was not well coordinated, a finance capacity of regional government for development of small and medium enterprises was limited, a technology processing of remainder process of cattle was limited, a infection of antrax disease from other location and other disease that lack of prediction, a price competition of cow with other location from Sukoharjo Regency that usually of lower price. The results of SWOT Matrix and QSP to show priority strategies can be applied in development agribusiness of cattle cow were developing and to defend of quality and continuity production to endure in the markets, with development of production capacity and technology, and so cluster institution with supported by coordinatively stakeholders, so that strengthening of bargaining position of cattle breeder, to develop capacity of human resources of cattle breeder for developing access in to production factors and technology, to develop business management, to defend and expanding markets access, with coordination and cooperation with stakeholders as like non regional government institution, and to defend of production quality and continuity by partnership with other central of small and medium enterprises in performing of production factors and distribution networking
