    Get PDF
Teaching media is one essential factor that influences the success of teaching process. Therefore, this study was aimed to develop a science learning module namely BIOMIND Module in the form of portal and e-book. The study used to research and development (R&D) method to create BIOMIND module developed from Hanafin and Peck model. The study involved five professionals, 20 teachers, and 98 students to assess the BIOMIND module. The results show that BIOMIND portal and e-book teaching media could be standardized and implemented in the teaching process. The existence of teaching media evaluation instrument was expected to develop a quality teaching media for innovative and efficient teaching and learning process

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the effectiveness of blended learning as an instructional model in vocational high school. The method used was a Quasy Experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Students are divided into two groups: an experimental group is a group of students that use blended learning model and control group with conventional learning models. Data were collected by achievement test in the form of an objective matter than do the test requirements analysis in the form of normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. The results showed that 1) the results of student learning experimental group was higher than the results of student learning control group, 2) improving student learning outcomes in the experimental group was higher than the control group, 3) The completeness of student learning outcomes after using blended learning models reach the set limit. Based on the findings of the study, concluded that the blended learning model is effective to be used as an instructional mode

This research aims to explain how great the contribution of learning attitude and vocabulary mastery towards the short story writing skills ofjunior high school students in Rokan Hulu. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method and using correlational and regression design. Stratified random sampling technique was done to select the sampel based on high, medium, and low ranking results based on national examination of the SMP2015/2016 of Rokan Hulu. The data of this research is learning attitude scale, mastery of vocabulary score, and short writing skills score.Data were analyzed using a double linear regression test, t-test, F-test, and determinant coefficient formula to determine the contribution of independent variables on the dependent variable, either single or simultaneous. Results of this study that learning attitude and vocabulary mastery either single or simultaneous contribute significantly towards the short story writing skills. Contribution of learning attitudes and vocabulary mastery simultaneously, partial contribution of learning attitudes and vocabulary mastery to the short story writing skills in a row is 36.3%, 27.9% and 31.4%

This research aims to develop learning materials and tutorial videos e-learning for students of PPs UNM. Accurately, this research will produce learning materials, video tutorials, and scholarly articles. Product development refers to the ADDIE model (Analysis-Design-Develop-Implement-Evaluate) developed by Reiser and Mollenda in 1990. The research subject is graduate PPs UNM and the data gathering methods are documentation, interview, questionnaire, and tests, then analyzed by the descriptive qualitative method. In the first stage of research conducted analysis, i.e., identifying characteristics or profiles of prospective participants learn, identify gaps, and the identification of needs. The result shows, 1) characteristic of participants, i.e., in the range 25-35 years adult category, the respondent's gender dominated by women and respondents are dominated by kindergarten teacher/PAUD until lecturer, and they have a very high motivation to learn the program; 2) Some gap identify based on question form given to the respondents, i.e., they strongly agree with the application of e-learning-based lesson at school and University, but abilities and skills related to the program is still very limited; and 3) needed learning materials in the form of video tutorials that can help them to learn independently  and master the lesson of e-learning based program

The purpose of this study were to describe the implementation of discovery learning model in science learning,  learning motivation, and to examine the influence of the application of discovery learning model toward the motivation of the fifth grade students of SDN Mannuruki in science subjects.  Research is a quantitative research which  used true experimental design with pre-test-post-test control group design.  The result of this research shows that: (i) The implementation of discovery learning model at the experimental group followed the syntax of discovery learning model namely observation, constructing questioning, making hypothesis, collecting data and making conclusion; (ii) The motivation of the fifth grade students of SDN Mannuruki in science learning categorized as medium before applying the discovery learning model; (iii) There is a significant effect of the implementation of discovery learning model toward the motivation of the fifth grade students of SDN Mannuruki in Science learning where the significant value is 0.0015 < α 0.05.. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the implementation of discovery learning model toward the motivation of the fifth grade students of SDN Mannuruki in science learnin

The objective of this study were to determine the increasing of students’ problem solving ability and self confidence after the implementation of problem based learning and to see the interaction between gender and learning to increas problem solving ability and students’ self confidence. The method kuantitaif with the design of this research was quasi-experimental with factorial design is 22. There were 73 students as the sample of this study containing 36 students in grade VIII-5 and 37 students in grade VIII-6. The instruments of this students were test of problem solving and self confidence scale. The data were analyzed by applying two way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The result showed that (1) The increasing of students’ problem solving ability taught by using problem based learning was higher than that taught by using conventional learning (2) There was no interaction between gender and learning with increasing of students’ problem solving ability.

This research aims at finding out the use of Barron’s TOEIC preparation course package to improve the listening of the eleventh grade students at SMK Negeri Tinambung academic year 2010/2011.The objectives of the research were to find out whether or not the use of Barron’s TOEIC preparation course package significantly improves the listening ability of the eleventh grade students at SMK Negeri Tinambung academic year 2010/2011.The research used quasi experimental research design. The samples consisted of 50 students which belonged to two groups; experimental group and control group. The research data were collected using two the listening test was given to the both groups. The research results indicated that the use of Barron’s TOEIC preparation course package significantly improved the listening ability of the eleventh grade students at SMK Negeri Tinambung academic year 2010/2011. The results of posttest of both groups were improved, but the use of Barron’s TOEIC preparation course package was more improved than English in Progress Business & Management for SMK Year XI: TOEIC based Activities, By Munash F. Anwar. It was proved by the result of mean score of posttest of the experimental was higher than the control group in listening (85.00 > 79.40)

This study aims to determine the quality of the package about the Academic Potential Test, to know the procedure of equalizing the package of test of Academic Potential Test and to know how to get two sets of tests that have equality with the method of testEquatigdata .. The type of research is explorative, which will reveal the equivalence of test scores based on response- Items. Tithe equivalence procedure, horizontal equalizer selection, common item nonequivalent group equalization selection, third parameter estimation using 2P model (different power and difficulty level) and four equalization process using testEquatingData. Results Equivalence tests with the EQuestData method based on the grain response theory using the 2 parameter model, indicating that the average difficulty level on both packages differs from the packet value of 01 (-1.32934) and the packet value 02 (-2.63645). While the difference between the two packages is different and shows that it can not distinguish the ability of the participants, between high ability and low participant ability, based on the value of package 01 (-0.26831) and package 02 (-0.37774)
