Study on controlling factors of air pollution in northern part of Kyushu, Japan: Transboundary transportation and local meteorology condition
Get PDF北九州市立大学博士(工学)This study investigated the effects of transboundary transport and local meteorological conditions on air quality in northern part of Kyushu, Japan. The presence and sources of anthropogenic/non-sea-salt inorganic chloride (nss-Cl) in ambient air were studied by applying the four-stage filter pack system with a daily sampling collection over one year. Anthropogenic/nss-Cl concentrations above 20 nmol∙m⁻³ were observed over 50 days, and the 72-h backward trajectory results suggest a strong correlation with transboundary transport in the west/northwest rather than with domestic/local emissions from waste incineration, coal combustion, and volcanic eruptions. And, based on atmospheric methane concentrations. The atmosphere in the urban center area was stable at ca. 200 m, during daytime and even in the summer; meanwhile, the suburbs formed the grounded temperature inversion layer at night in the summer. System Modeling and Applications Based on Information in Time and Frequency Domains
Get PDF北九州市立大学博士(工学)System modeling is required to deal with the time-varying system dynamics or the experimental data with insufficient information. However, the existing methods cannot construct satisfactory models for rapidly varying systems or severely band-limited signals. This thesis focuses on the new approaches to solve such system modeling problems based on time and frequency-domain information and illustrates their applications in time-varying channel identification and localization system. For the rapid time-varying systems, parameters can be approximated by the cosine series using virtual even periodic functions. Following the orthogonality of the trigonometric functions, the parameter estimation is recursively implemented by estimating the coefficients of each degree of the cosine harmonic term. For the localization system with insufficient frequency components, the spectral characteristics including phase information in frequency domain and the information evaluation in time domain are applied to improve the convergence performance. Numerical simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the new approaches.doctoral thesi
Mechanism of Cold Alley and Passive Energy Saving in Traditional Settlement in Southern Shaanxi

A new passive cooling and energy saving system for traditional Chinese buildings has been established. This system is based on cold lanes. Above all, the conclusions of this research can be summarized as following: Three research methods of this research are introduced. The steady-state simulation accuracy of the CFD software was verified, and the most suitable simulator for simulating the settlement wind environment with complex building distribution was selected. Introduced the ventilation characteristics of traditional settlements, the passive energy-saving mode of traditional houses, and the application of traditional energy-saving methods in modern buildings. A new passive cooling and energy saving mode based on cold lanes is proposed, and the total energy saving of this new system in one year and the time suitable for use are calculated.doctoral thesi
