    Simulation study of improving pedestrian-level wind environment in courtyards

    北九州市立大学博士(工学)This study aims to improve the low wind speed environment at pedestrian levels in courtyards. Utilizing computational fluid dynamics simulations and metrics such as the average wind speed ratio, static wind area ratio, and comfort wind area ratio, the research quantitatively analyzes the effects of different courtyard enclosure forms, side wall heights, opening positions, opening sizes, and wind angles on the courtyard wind environment. Models for the comfort wind zone ratio were developed for varying opening sizes, enclosure heights, and wind directions, and optimization strategies for courtyard wind environments were proposed. These strategies were applied to large residential courtyards, improving the wind environment of the district by modifying the enclosure boundaries. This study provides valuable guidance for courtyard architectural design and the optimization of courtyard wind environment.doctoral thesi

    Study on non-uniform indoor thermal environment and human thermal sensation under local radiant heating

    北九州市立大学博士(工学)The heating and energy-saving effects of the local radiant heating mode have been recognized by scholars around the world, but there is still a lack of scientific and reasonable design specifications and evaluation methods in the actual application of indoor local heating. Therefore, this study investigates the architectural characteristics and indoor thermal environment of different buildings under different geographical and climatic conditions, and obtains basic information such as winter meteorological conditions, indoor thermal environment characteristics and thermal comfort status in different regions, providing background information for the application of local heating systems. After that, human experiments were carried out to obtain the physiological and psychological parameters of human under local radiant heating conditions, and put forward the evaluation index of asymmetric thermal sensation to explore the non-uniform indoor thermal environment and human thermal comfort under local radiant heating mode.doctoral thesi

    Japanese Setsuyaku Technology to Change Future Electric Vehicle Market

    The automotive industry has become one of the most significant global industries, not only at the economic level but also in terms of technological innovation and development. In the last two decades, there has been significant progress in several aspects of the production of electric vehicles (EVs) and the use of new technologies, as well as their markets. Similarly, the research efforts have also increased, which has resulted in a significant increase in new EVs and contributed to their cost-effectiveness and affordability. There are more technical elements that are being added to vehicles to improve both passengers’ and pedestrians’ safety. In addition, as there is an increasing number of EVs on the roads, more advanced technology and comfort are possible. This study aims to examine how the EV industry was introduced and applied using the Japanese setsuyaku (economize) technology. Furthermore, this study presents a comprehensive survey of the most important aspects of EV technologies and innovation. The study also examines the possibility of reducing production materials, cost-effectiveness, and affordability for EVs. The results of the study show that the cost of EVs is decreasing, but there are significant uncertainties regarding the past, current, and future costs of the dominant technologies as well as batteries.departmental bulletin pape
