    ANALISIS TINGKAT KEPUASAN PEMUSTAKA TERHADAP LAYANAN DI PERPUSTAKAAN BALAI ARKEOLOGI DAERAH ISTIMEWA YOGYAKARTA DENGAN METODE LIBQUAL +TM

    The purpose of this study was to determine the satisfaction of users of the quality of service in the Balai Arkeologi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta library using the LibQUAL+TM, in this method there are four indicators namely affect service, library as place, personal control, and information access. The research method used in this study is to use quantitative methods. The population in this study is the visitors who come to the library from April to December 2018. The sample used in this study amounted to 50 respondents. Gap analysis shows that the overall dimensions of LibQUAL+TM are negative. So there is a need for corrective actions to meet the user’s expectations. By using importance-performance analysis, it was found that subvariable personal control on modern equipment items (items 20) had a gap of -0.76. The user assumed that the photocopy machine facilities and infrastructure were needed by the user, but in fact the photo copy service was not provided by the library. Whereas the value of the User Satisfaction Index at the Balai Arkeologi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta library shows a number of 87.43%, which indicates the user satisfaction index is satisfied with the performance of library services

    The success of librarians in developing their careers depend on their success in carrying out various items of librarian activities in Permenpan-RB No.9, 2014.  Librarian activities in Permenpan-RB No.9, 2014 were added with some items which had not been covered by the previous rules. This study aims to determine the distribution of librarian activities based on Permenpan-RB No.9, 2014 and how its implemented in the Library of Malang State University. This research used a descriptive method. Data collection is done by research document and interview some informans. The results of the study showed that: (1) the Malang State University Library has not been able to carry out all the activities in Permenpan-RB No.9, 2014; (2) the largest portion of the implementation of the main task of the librarian is still dominated by items of activity according to the level of hierarchy (38%-63%), under the level of position (28%-47%), and above the position level (0-18%); and (3) there are several librarians who carry out two levels of activities under their position, even outside of their position groups

    This study aims to analyze how the appearance, accessibility, contents, and to empower the IR UNDIP. The research method used is qualitative by using in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and FGD as a method of data collection. Data processing is done by reducing and verifying data. The results showed that: (1) the display used by IR UNDIP was considered too simple, monotonous, and less user friendly; (2) the contents of the repository, must be complete and varied, according to the study programs available at the university; 3) increasing the ease of access of IR UNDIP needs to be considered, by providing instructions on how to log in by users and to increase the speed of wifi

    This study aims to find out communication models on analog versus digital library services through Facebook; and the important role of PIO in digital library services. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with literature studies. This study shows that there has been a shift in the model and role of library service communication from analog to digital. This can be seen from the role of PIO as: (1) digital library information content creators; (2) digital library promotional content creators; (3) communication managers and disseminator on information and promotions on social media (in the context of this article is Facebook); and (4) communication links between leaders and audiences. The recommendation of this study is that library managers must recognize the importance of a new communication model in library management through Facebook

    ANALISIS REFERENSI PADA JURNAL ILMU DAN TEKNOLOGI KAYU TROPIS TAHUN 2013 – 2017

    Reference analysis of articles in online journals was conducted, namely Jurnal Ilmu dan Teknologi Kayu Tropis in 2013 – 2017. The study aims to: (1) find out the distribution of articles and references based on years; (2) know the reference composition based on the type of document; (3) know the patterns of authorship in reference; (4) know the update of the reference year; (5) find out the ranking of journals that are used as references; (6) know the authorship affiliation pattern. The research was carried out by descriptive method. Data was taken from the Journal of Tropical Wood Science and Technology for five years (2013-2017). Data collection was conducted in October 2018 from the journal webpage available at http://ejournalmapeki.org/index.php/JITKT. Details of each article published , such as the number of articles in each journal number, article distribution, authorship patterns for each article have been recorded and analyzed to make observations.The collected data was compiled and analyzed using an MS-Excel spreadsheet.The results showed that the average number of articles per year was 20,2 and and references per year is 385,8. The highest reference composition is articles totaling 1063, around 55,11 %.The pattern of authorship shows that more than half of writers prefer to work in collaboration because 51,44% of citations are multi-authors, while 48,56% of writers prefer to work in isolation, more reference skills in the span of 0-10 years (current category) namely as many as 1.108 citations/references and 821 citations/references classified as not up-to-date, namely over ten years as many as 821 citations / references. The most used ranking reference journal used by the author was taken from the Journal of Tropical Wood Technology

    SURVEI PENGGUNAAN MEDIA SOSIAL DI KALANGAN MAHASISWA KOTA PADANG MENGGUNAKAN TEORI USES AND GRATIFICATIONS

    This research utilized theory uses and gratifications for discussing students’ behavior in taking advantages of social media. Respondents came from 3 public universities in the city of Padang. The data collection method was done by distributing questionnaires and interviews, then, the data analyzed statistically. The results concluded that 97% of students claimed as social media active users. Based on the type of the application, the messenger/ chat app. was more preferable then the social networks. WhatsApp is the most application used. As many as 96% of respondents claimed using it. Whereas Facebook, the most preferable application uses throughout the world, is only used by 36% of respondents. A large number of WhatsApp users is in line with their goals and benefits use this content. The majority (87%) of respondents use social media as a tool of communication, in addition to information retrieval, and social interaction

    The application of story telling in the Mobile Library of the Archives and Library Service (Disarpus) of Kediri Regency was conducted from February 2018 – March 2018 which was divided into four cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings. At each meeting, researchers used the same story, namely stories of fables and different in each cycle with an increase of approximately two to five children per-cycle. To promote of the mobile library services, the instition used Instagram. The research results showed that the Archives and Library Service (Disarpus) of Kediri Regency has exceeded the target achievement of Instagram as a promotional media, in its application it is divided into five cycles, each cycle carried out for one week. Instagram promotions are conducted to the first cycle to the fifth cycle there is an increase from 116 to 200 followers; the achievement of likes to occur from cycle I – cycle III, from 372 to 798 likes while from cycle III until V there is not change

    The purpose of this study was to measure the impact of Indonesia research especially in agriculture published in international Scopus journals using Altmetrics. This research method consisted of problem identification, data collection, data preprocessing, Altmetrics approach analysis, and final analysis. The data of this study were obtained from Scopus.com citation metadata by writing the Agriculture keyword and Indonesian affiliation that the limited year from 2015-2017. Altmetrics data is obtained from Altmetric.com; Altmetrics Explorer for Librarian by extracting DOIs from each publication of scientific work. Then the data is analyzed by the Altmetrics approach, namely Facebook Coverage and Mention Rate. This study performed an analysis based on Altmetrics data share to know the popularity Indonesian research in Scopus journal and analyzed the correlation between Citation data Indonesian research in Scopus journal and Altmetrics data share of Altmetric.com. This study analyzed the impact of 4484 Indonesia research articles published by Scopus journals in the field of agriculture through Altmetrics and compared it with bibliometrics. The result showed that Coverage and Mention Rate of social media only were below 30% which was not too significant in the content discussed, view & reader and mention on social media

    This research was conducted with the aim to find out what information is needed by the teacher in supporting teaching and learning activities, to find out the use of Internet-based information sources, and to find out the obstacles that arise in searching information what is done to overcome obstacles in conducting information searches. The method used in this study is a descriptive method. The Informant in this study were teachers of SD Laboratorium School, Indonesia University of Education. The results of the study found that the information needs of teachers were four aspects. Aspects of learning planning, information needs include RPP planning, teacher learning objectives, competencies, indicators, and material scope. Content or material aspects or learning experiences of information needs include student characteristics, forms of learning activities, learning strategies, and learning outcome evaluation tools. The aspects of choosing learning strategies and methods of information needs include learning objectives, students' initial knowledge, student characteristics, time allocation, supporting facilities, and the surrounding situation. The aspect of media selection, information needs include learning objectives, material scope, student characteristics, supporting features and technological development. Obstacles in information retrieval include time, ICT skills, weak and lazy search techniques

    This study aims to understand the needs and search for information from primiparous mothers, so that they can provide appropriate information and certainly can reduce maternal anxiety towards postpartum depression. The research method used is a case study on WhatsApp Group (WAG) Zona Mama. The result is that there is concern and anxiety from primiparous mothers in the postpartum phase. This happens because of a lack of information about topics such as breastfeeding, how to care for children, and complementary feeding provided by information providers such as health workers and librarians. Information searching that has been done so far using an active scanning model that is carrying out active information retrieval, but does not have a detailed plan. Therefore, it seems that information leaflets from information providers such as hospitals and libraries are needed by new mothers. Sometimes websites and forums are doubtful by mothers. They need an information center that is consistent and controlled by professional
