USULAN KERANGKA KEBIJAKAN PENGGUNAAN MEDIA SOSIAL UNTUK PERPUSTAKAAN PERGURUAN TINGGI
This study provides proposed core elements of social media policy that specifically designed for academic libraries.Evaluation of social media policies from five organisations and a review of the literature were used for data collection.There are 15 proposed core elements recommended: policy objectives; policy definition; scope of the policy;university’s vision and mission; policy users; disclaimer; confidentiality; copyright; privacy; workflow; publicinformation; the use of professional language; the accuracy of the information; rule for links; and university andlibrary’s voices. The results of this study provide important aspects in the development of social media policy. Theproposed core elements of the social media policy discussed in this paper is specifically designed for the academiclibraries, but can also be used for other library types.
ANALISIS TINGKAT KEMATANGAN PENYEDIAAN TATA KELOLA TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI DI PDII LIPI MENGGUNAKAN FRAMEWORK COBIT 4.1
Centre for Scientific Documentation and Information – Indonesian Institute of Science (PDII LIPI) began to developbusiness objectives towards a digital library. To support this goal should be held IT governance while PDII LIPI hasno specific IT governance. This research aims to study the condition of the IT management and determine the levelof maturity of the provision of IT governance framework based on COBIT 4.1. COBIT is one of the internationalstandard for IT governance. COBIT is used in this study were able to measure the COBIT 4.1 for organizations thatdo not use IT governance. Analysis of the level of maturity of the provision of IT governance is based on aquestionnaire that is processed by the COBIT 4.1 framework and compared with the actual conditions in the ITmanagement in PDII LIPI. The results of the calculation of the maturity level of to provided IT governance in PDIILIPI based on framework COBIT 4.1 shows that PDII-LIPI already at level 3 (Defined Process). This is consistent withthe actual conditions in PDII-LIPI. COBIT 4.1 is considered quite capable, reliable and easy to implement in PDII LIPI.
PEMETAAN MAJALAH ILMIAH TERBITAN INDONESIA
This study is to find out the mapping of scientific journals published in Indonesia, mainly cover of subject, city ofpublication, publisher, period and year of publication. Directory of Indonesian Learned Periodicals which publishedby the Centre for Scientific Documentation and Information- Indonesian Institute of Sciences in year of 2004 is usedas data source. The study found that the directory are covers 1.170 journals that already have ISSN and still issueduntil year of 2003. The most subject available is technology (418 titles). The most scientific journal was published inDKI Jakarta (182 titles), then West Java (176 titles) and East Java (174 titles). The journals issued mainly by educationalinstitutions (academy, universities, schools, etc.). The journals issued half-yearly are the most common, thereare 673 titles. These journals issued in 50’s up to 2004 and the most ones (605 titles) issued in 2000-2004
PROTOTIPE MASHUP LAYANAN INFORMASI PUBLIK PERPUSTAKAAN BPPT
The Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology Library has the duty to provide public information services to the community. However, this public information was scattered in several different websites. In this study, mashup technology was used to collect and combine content from external sources. Information architectureand prototype of public information service mashup were designed and created. The result showed that mashup technology can be used to create a new service that easily community to find the public information without open many websites at the same time.
PENENTUAN KOLABORASI PENELITIAN DAN DISTRIBUSI PENGARANG PADA JURNAL TEKNOLOGI INDONESIA (THE DETERMINATIONS OF RESEARCH COLLABORATION AND AUTHORS DISTRIBUTION IN THE JURNAL TEKNOLOGI INDONESIA)
This study aims to determine of research collaboration and authors distribution based on the data and informationmentioned in the Jurnal Teknologi Indonesia (JTI) during 5 years, from 2007 up to 2011. To reach this aims, theresearch uses methodology of bibliometric analysis to analyse the citation appeared in every last page of the articlepublished in the JTI; including distribution of articles each year, the number of contributors, the authorship, thedistribution of article languages, the single and many authors who wrote write the articles, the number of documentcited by outhors, and average number of references in an article. The bibliometrics data come from 80 articles,ranging from volume 30 up to volume 34. Then the data are tabulated, analysed and described for the purpose tomake conclusion of the research. The results show that there are domination of publication contribution by auhtors’collaboration in the journal, have significant range of research collaboration and have high rank of publication by 4researchers of 7, 6 and 5 articles published.
SISTEM PEMANTAU KINERJA BERBASIS BALANCED SCORECARD: STUDI KASUS UKSW DALAM RANGKA MEWUJUDKAN RESEARCH UNIVERSITY
Balanced scorecard is a concept that can be used as a performance monitoring system in an organization. Results of monitoring the performance of the organization by implementing a balanced scorecard to perform and produce measurement and monitoring from time to time. Satya Wacana Christian University wants to develop the concept of education in the direction of research in a Research University (RU). It is important for universities to create a strategy and carry out the action that RU can be realized. Application of the balanced scorecard use to see the vision and mission of the university to reach the next target should be done. As a leading university RU application of balanced scorecard need to be viewed from four perspectives: financial, customer, internal business processes, growth and learning. Based on the perspective that there is then established Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are selected according to the needs of SWCU realize RU. Performance monitoring system is used based Ms.excel. The implementation of the balanced scorecard and KPI development plans SWCU create RU in the resulting system performance monitor that can measure and monitor from time to time
RISET UNGGULAN TERPADU: KAJIAN BIBLIOMETRIKA
This study aims to know the results of integrated featured research (IFR) activities, covering the number of the researches, the scoup of research fields, and the affiliations of research. Moreover, this study is for understanding the scientific researches resulted from the IFR, the fields, the types of the research documents and the authors’ ratio. The source of data was taken from “Tracking Hasil Riset Unggulan Terpadu” (Tracking of the IFR) publication year 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006. The study showed that there are 372 IFR’s titles which covering 14 fields. The most frequently appeared field is thetechnology of agricultural products, i.e. 69 titles (18,55%). The most common affiliation is from university, i.e. 279. The IFR resulted in 2.188 scientific publications, and at most, i.e. 1.301 titles (59,46%) are from the seminar papers and the like, nationally and internationally. The scientific research publications published at most in the year 1999, i.e. 248 titles (11,33%). If they are seen from the author collaboration side then the scientific research written by the collaborating authors are more than those which written by the single author
MENGOLAH INFORMASI DALAM MEDIA INTERAKTIF MENGGUNAKAN APLIKASI SWISHMAX
Author tries to explain how to manage the scientific articles by using SwishMax application in this paper. Many navigations inside the program are described in this paper with some examples. This navigation will make users easy to find the information which is needed. The method of this paper is based on literature study. MEWUJUDKAN PERPUSTAKAAN PERGURUAN TINGGI YANG RAMAH DIFABEL
This study aims to: 1) raise the institutions awareness about disabilities, especially the awareness in the university library that disability is a part of the academic society. The disabled people have the same rights for facilities and learning support services, therefore every university library should be inclusive and can serve user with disabilities; 2) university library should become disabilities-friendly. This study used literature study and also observation and interviews. The result of this study showed the elements which support university library to be disabilities-friendly namely facilities and infrastructure, human resource, and program socialization
KAJIAN PERPUSTAKAAN KHUSUS DAN SUMBER INFORMASI DI INDONESIA
This study tries to know the map of special libraries and information sources in Indonesia. Publication which examined are Directory of Special Libraries and Information Sources in Indonesia which published in 1981, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, and 2005. Data was collected by rewrite of each title of the library, address or city also province, field or subject, and established year. Total of the special libraries base on city (libraries address), field or subject, and established year then calculated and presented in form of tables and hystograms. The result shows that total of special libraries and information sources in Indonesia increase year by year. The last publication in 2005 registered as many as 994 of libraries which reside in 32 provinces (136 cities) in Indonesia. Base on the total that registered, 668 libraries are in Jawa Island (62 cities), and others 326 libraries are in outside Jawa Island (74 cities). The most of special libraries with subject of religion (143 libraries) and economics (140 libraries), then social, agriculture, education, law, and medicine. The author also found that there are 3 oldest special libraries which were established in 1842, 1886, and 1887, while the youngest library was established in 2004
