Kecerdasan Budaya Mahasiswa Calon Konselor
The aim of this study is to produce a profile of cultural intelligence of student. Participants are students of Teacher Education Program-Counseling (PPG-BK) SM3T Makassar State University. Number of participants as many as 16 students consisting of 13 women and 3 men. The instrument used is the scale of cultural intelligence which is the result of adaptation and modification of Cultural Intelligence Scale developed by Early and Ang (2003). Data analysis used descriptive data analysis to describe the level of cultural intelligence of students. The results of this study indicate that students' cultural intelligence are mostly located in the high category. On average the results of each dimension is found that the dimensions of CI Metaconitive have the highest rates, followed by CI Motivation, and the lowest CI Cognitive Behavior. Discussion, limitations and recommendations discussed in the study
Konformitas Teman Sebaya dalam Perspektif Multikultural
The aim of this study was to determine the conformity profile peers based on multiculture perspective. Participants in this study weres 76 students senior hig school consist of 32 boys student and 44 girls students. This research approach using quantitative approach, types of research using a cross sectional survey. The instruments used was a scale conformity peers. Data were analyzed using analysisMann-Whitney U with a score of 702,5 and a significance probability value of 0.414. Because the probability of significance 0.987 0.05, the results showed that there was no difference conformity peers in the boys student and girls student
Kompetensi Multikultural Konselor pada Kebudayaan Suku Dayak Kalimantan Tengah
The aim of this research is to comprehend multicultural competency of counselor in Dayak tribe in the Middle Kalimantan with etnography type. The data analysis that used is data and analysis triangulation towards culture theme. Accordingly, the culture values of Dayak ethnic that reflects on Huma Betang filosophy consists of four main values, they are togetherness, honesty, equality and tolerance. They are aimed to actualize society life of the Middle Kalimantan that full of peace, safety and harmony. Counselor absorps the culture values to actualize multikultural competency on counselor
Profil Strength of Hope Mahasiswa Calon Guru BK Berdasarkan Faktor Budaya
Hope is a construct that has been revealed and investigated in the process across space and time. Hope as an important aspect in the development and lives of individuals known to correlate with various factors, but have not revealed many factors related to culture, especially in Indonesia. This study aims to reveal the expectations on students of Guidance and Counseling Study Programme FKIP UAD Special Region of Yogyakarta Indonesia. The study was conducted on 123 students of VII semester consisting of 45 men and 78 women. The average age of study participants was 20-22 years old. The instrument used is the Hope Scale, shaped semantic differential scale that is composed of a large selection of 1-8 (1 = very inappropriate, and 8 = very appropriate). Descriptive statistical data analysis used in this study. Results of the study showed no significant difference in the expectations of students are female than male. In the dimension measurement known student agency in Guidance and Counseling Study Programme higher than pathways dimension. Hope Sundanese cultural background of students is the highest and the lowest was followed Javanese students who have a background in Malay culture. While the expectations of the most frequently encountered are related to career, parents and self-oriented (individualism)
Kompetensi Spiritualitas Mahasiswa
This study aims to present spirituality student competency profiles, which can provide a view of cultural competence on the part of students or the spirituality of the people of Indonesia. The method used is survey. Subjects consisted of 50 students on the course for guidance and counseling. Most categories of student spirituality competency is moderate, with highs in the affective aspects, aspects of cognitive and psychomotor lowest at. Therefore, the development of spirituality on student competence becomes important. Especially the development of the cognitive and psychomotor aspects. Competence spirituality is a potential in human beings that can evolve positively. As the results of research and studies mention that spirituality has contributed to mental health, positive moral behavior, professionalism, physical health, as well as character development. Character development is part of a very important educational mission. Moreover, the students as the next generation of nation-building, it is necessary formation of strong character. Belief in God and positive moral behavior is one of the main characters to be achieved in the national education goals. Spirituality can be a major potential in the development of the character
Identitas dan Orientasi Nilai Kultural Mahasiswa Calon Guru
The research aims to learn profile of identity status and cultural value orientation of teacher prospective student. The research method that used is descriptive by qualitative approach. The research sample involves 80 students of education program at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia that are chosen by using technique of multi stage cluster sampling. The collected data by questionnaire is analysized statisticaly. The research result shows that majority of teacher prospective students is on low cultural identity status. They are forecloser and diffusion. They who are in achievement status and moratorium, that is accused as high identity status, each of them is belonged by least of forth of students quantity. Four values that become strongest preferences for students are economic value, science value, social value and religious value. Some students that have achievement cultural identity status belong strong orientation on science value, then religious value and social value and economic value. Moratorium status put stronger orientation on economic value, social, aesthetic, and religious and the last is science. Foreclosure status put more orientation on economic value, social, and power. Besides, diffusion status put more orientation on economic value, power, social, aesthetic and religious
Empati Kultural pada Mahasiswa
Cultural empathy is the ability to feel what another person by an individual or a community group. Culture of others became the foundation behave in every interaction that exists. Empathy has the potential to transform differences into mutual understanding and deep understanding. Similarly, in guidance and counseling, a counselor absolutely have skills in counseling, one of which he must have a sense of empathy. Therefore, empathy is very important, both for educators and for counselors, especially for counselors, provide a sense of comfort to the counselee as if a counselor was feeling what counselees feel and recognize themselves in more depth. As for cultural empathy in counseling is very important for the counseling process is a process aid through the interaction between two individuals of different cultural backgrounds. One problem that often arises is the lack of empathy in communication that could lead to a misunderstanding in interaction. Whereas, the purpose of cultural empathy is to gather information and to establish a therapeutic alliance. This study aims to investigate and describe the cultural empathy in students. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods, instrument using a questionnaire and the sample was 83 students of UIN Sunan Gunung Jati Bandung. The findings of this research is cultural empathy of student UIN Sunan Gunung Jati Bandung categorized as being with an average by score of 83.84

This study is an attempt to understand the concept of culture as a creative and cultural influence of external factors in fostering creativity. Culture is believed to be one of the aspects that can facilitate the growth of individual creativity. Creative culture as behavior, activity or way of life of a person or group of people embedded within it an element of novelty to life effective, communicative and refer to attitudes toward the social situation and the phenomenon of life. This study attempted to reveal the dominance of internal and external forces that encourage individual creativity. Of the 198 participants were high school students known that the external aspect dominates 63% as the force that drives one's creativity. Socializing creative culture from an early age is expected to facilitate the growth of creativity in the individual
Deprivasi Budaya pada Remaja Kalangan Marginal
This study aims to: 1) describe the characteristics of deprivation of culture in the students of secondary school (SMP), which is in an environment characterized by cultural deprivation. 2) Know the difference in strength characteristics of cultural deprivation boys and girls, as well as the differences between classes. Participants of this study lived in the school environment and farm workers Banten, they are Mitra Persada junior high school students of class VII, VIII and IX amounting to 90 people and consists of 37 boys and 40 girls. Measuring instrument used is an instrument consisting of 30 items and has been tested for validity and reliability, the instrument was made based on the indicators of three (3) main aspects of deprivation of culture, namely: 1) Development Property, 2) Language, 3) Attitude. And measurement using a questionnaire using the Likert scale. From there Descriptive Test standard deviation is very large (more than 30% of the mean) showed a large variation or the existence of a considerable gap from the lowest score and the highest score. Based on the calculations above descriptive, known from the mean total score of social deprivation in the can that is 79.12 which is 64.85% of the total score of each item that is ideal 122. It can be concluded that the impact of deprivation Mitra Persada junior high school students is still relatively high. While the Mann-Whitney test concluded that there are significant differences in the characteristics of cultural deprivation boys and girls. And grade level provides a significant effect on cultural deprivation
