DEVELOPING A BEHAVIORAL LEADERSHIP STYLEIN PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES WITH RELIGIOUS AND NON-RELIGIOUS VISIONS IN EAST JAVA, INDONESIA
No full text This article is aimed to describe behavioral leadership stylesin private universities with religious and non-religious vision as an attempt to improve the private university performance. This research used qualitative research approach (descriptive approach) and product development research. The research respondents were principals and staffs of six private universities in East Java. The technique used to collect the data was interview. The data was analyzed by using interactive style. The finding of the research showed that the leadership style in private universities with religious and non-religious vision generally used more democratic, transparent, and open leadership. The development of leadership style in private universities had produced a leadership style which oriented to dynamics of individual, group, organization, and society. Those dynamics had successfully created more harmonious and dynamic academic atmosphere to improve the institution performance. No full textSistem pendidikan nasonal telah dirumuskan dalam Undang-Undang No.20 Tahun 2003 dan Undang-Undang RI Nomor 14 Tahun 2003 tentang Guru dan Dosen serta Peraturan Pemerintah No 19 Tahun 2005 tentang Standart nasional Pendidikan, merupakan bentuk komitmen negara dalam memenuhi tuntutan Pembukaan DUD 1945 dan pasal 31 UUD1945. Melalui ke tiga perundangan tersebut diharapkan sistem pendidikan nasional mampu menjamin pemerataan kesempatan pendidikan, peningkatan rnutu serta relevansi dan efisiensi menajemen pendidikan untuk menghadapi tantangan sesuai dengan tuntutan perubahan lokal, nasional, dan global. Beberapa isu nasional dan global telah diwadahi dalam UU No 20 Tahun 2003 tentang 8istem Pendidikan Nasional. Education For All (EFA) telah menjadi komitmen pemerintah kita tertuang dalam pasal 6 ayat 1 dan pasal 34 ayat 2, isu kesetaraan gender dibidang pendidikan secara tegas di atur dalam pasal 5 ayat 1, isu globalisasi pendidikan telah diatur dalam pasal 65, isu otonomi daerah di bidang pendidikan diatur dalam pasal 10, dan pasal 46 ayat 1 dan ayat 2, sedangkan isu Badan Hukum Pendidikan diatur dalam pasal 53 (1).Kata Kunci: sistem pendidikan, education for all, kesetaraan gender, globalisasi pendidikan, otonomi daerah, badan hukum pendidikan
MODEL PENGUKURAN KINERJA USAHA KECIL MENENGAH DI KOTA MALANG
No full textThis study aims to observe the success of measurement applied in SME and uses phenomenology approach that was supported by 3 (three) informants of food entrepreneurs in Malang. The result of data analysis revealed that SME uses short-term and long-term financial performance. The short-term performance is measured by profit gained and the adequacy of cash for operational activities. Meanwhile, the determinant factor of long-term performance consists of the improvement of total assets, market development, production capacity and the number of employees. Other measurement is far more subjective, including the entrepreneurs’ motivations to establish SME. The non-financial performance commonly used is the development of economic social status obtained by entrepreneurs in their environment and the wealth of their employees.Keyword: performance measurement of SME, objective measurement, subjective measuremen

No full textThis study aimed at finding out the condition of the Current Ratio, Total Asset Turnover, Debt To Asset Ratio, and Economic Profitability ofthe Koperasi Wanita in Malang in 2010, as well as finding out if there were any signyqcant effects of Current Ratio, Total Asset Turnover, and the Debt to Asset Ratio on the Economic Profitability ofthe Koperasi Wanita in Malang in 2010. The findings showed that in 2010 the conditions of the Current Ratio (XI) had the tendency to be classified ineffective, the Total Asset Turnover (X2) had the tendency to be classified as not ideal, the Debt To Asset Ratio (X3) had the tendency to be classified as highly ideal, the Economic Proftability (X-4) had the tendency to be classified as highly effective. The results of the testing using Multiple Linear Regression analysis showed that thevariable of Current Ratio did not significantly affect the Economics Profitability despite the fact that the variable of Total Assets Turnover affected positively and signyficantly the Economic Proftability and Debt To Asset Ratio negatively and significantly affected the Economic Profitability.Keywords: Current Ratio, Total Asset Turnover, Debt To Asset Ratio, and Economic Profitabilit

THE MEANING OF COOPERATIVE EDUCATION FULFILL PARTICIPANT ROLE AS A MEMBER
No full textThe focus of the study is dealing about the meaning of cooperative education for members, includes the pilot stage of cooperative establishment; development stages of cooperative organizations; cooperative organization and stabilization stages. Preproposisi associated with focus formulation and sub focus of the research, education of members in cooperative development stages gives meaning to the participants in realizing their role as members with cooperative support of internal forces, members of the education stage, and the dimensions of service performed by the cooperative. Extracting information in the study was done by using three (3) sources that are: (1) key informants; (2) documentation of data; and (3) observation of cooperative activities that have a direct connection with the education of the members. Triangulation of three sources of research findings obtained. The results of the study gained four (4) factors that support the meaning of education members in realizing the role of members as participants: (1) internal power cooperatives, (2) stages of education members, (3) development of the best practice models in the cooperative management, (4) dimensional aspects of the development of services by taking into account the stages of cooperatives development. Therefore, the results expected to be considered as a pattern of cooperative development because each of these supporting factors gives meaning in placing the members as participants. Proses pendidikan dalam waktu lima tahun adalah bagian dari tanggung jawab bersama. Jadi, kalau RESPEK masih terlihat jalan ditempat hal itu tidak merisaukan. Hal yang dilakukan pada masyarakat dalam program RESPEK yakni ketika membelajarkan maka kita harus tampil di depan. Apabila dalam bentuk pembelajaran harus ada interaksi, mungkin di Papua kita sudah masuk pada proses membelajarkan dan pembelajaran. Posisi Pendamping dalam proses membelajarkan dan proses pembelajaran masih sangat diperlukan. Mendekati kelompok masyarakat dan melekat dengan proses mengenal masyarakat. Dengan kata lain, komunikasi secara bertahap akan menuju tahap inovasi. Hal yang perlu dilakukan, yakni bagaimana masyarakat memperoleh nilai tambah dari proses inovasi tersebut. Masyarakat lebih mudah diajak berkomunikasi bila kita lebih mengenal mereka. Artinya, harus memahami bahwa kapasitas masyarakat masih sangat terbatas

This research was conducted based on the fact that the implementation of competency-based curriculum for vocational high school of economics is dealing with some constraints, for instance misconception of accounting teacher to understand the substance of competency-based curriculum. The learning material was de- - signed based on the findings obtained from field research and curriculum content analysis conducted in advance. The research has developed computer-based accounting learning material that has been validated using expert judgment validation technique. The learning material covers: (1) case that can be reconstructed by teachers; and (2) worksheet consisting of document of transaction, journal, general ledger, trial balance, and financial statement. No full textInvestors need of information accurate, timely and complete. Such information is one of them is cash flow statement information that can add preferences of investors about the risks and the expected return of investors. Information released will have meaning if it causes investors to do transactions in the capital market, which will be reflected through changes in stock trading volume and stock returns. This study is a kind of explanatory research by the independent variable cashflow information on the dependent variable are stock trading volume and stock returns. The population in this study were all LQ45 companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) 2007-2009 by the number of 135 companies. Sampling is by using purposive sampling with total sample of 20 companies from a total population, the instrument of this study by using quantitative data, using regression analysis technique based on the canonical relation of independent variables on two dependent variable. From the research there are a positive influence cash flow information (X) on trading volume of shares (Yl) and stock return (Y2). This suggests that the changes in cash flow of information will lead to changes in slock trading volume and stock returns.
