However, the first CVM design and implementation only occurred two decades later when Robert Davis in 1963 assessed the economics value of the recrational possibilities of the Maine Wood by exploring the survey techique. A MODEL OF COLLABORATIVE FOREST RESOURCES MANAGEMENT TO IMPROVE THE PROSPERITY OF POOR FAMILY FARMERS IN EAST JAVA
No full textThe model of collaborative forest resources management between the local government and poor Pesanggem families becomes one of important alternative strategies to develop forests sustainably and equitably. The focus of this research is the collaborative forest resources management between the local government and Pesanggem farmers. The aim of the research is to analyze how far the local government and Pesanggem farmer involve in the collaborative forest resources management. The research is conducted in Pasuruan and Malang. The number of respondent involved in the research is 60 respondents. The research finding shows that the participation level of the local government and Pesanggem farmers in the collaborative forest resources management is quite high: The activities of the respondents in the collaborative forest resources management are deciding the planting location, planning, evaluating, monitoring, and preparing the seedbed. The income level of Pesanggem farmers that actively involve in managing the forest resources is also quite high. The average of their income is Rp 500.000,- up to Rp 650.000,- per month. No full textEven though Indonesia has thousands of accounting graduates each year, public accounting firms indicated their difficulties in recruiting fresh accounting graduates, both in the quantity and the quality. The objective of this research is to investigate the factors that influence students’ career choice. The study employs the theory of planned behaviour as an underpinning theory to measure career intention based on the attitudes toward public accounting career, other people influence on students’ intention and the ability and the autonomy to choose a career. A survey will be conducted to final year accounting student in several universities in Indonesia and in depth interview will be performed to gain in depth information about their career intention. It is expected that this study will provide insights to accounting education as well as accounting profession about the career intention of accounting students and the underlying motivation
Toward Systems Thinking in Ethical Management to the Enviroment : A Solution for Conflict of Interest
No full textMultiple stakeholder refer to different interests that are vulnerable to create conflict of interest. the condition requires an effective management to satisfy stakeholders without ignoring ethical practices to the enviroment. It demands system thinking which makes companies realise that their activities influence stakeholder whilst stakeholder' actoins have impact on companis. However, several companies preclude the system thinking which gives consequence to unsolved conflict and even creates wore problem. Gunns Limited Company Australia ( Gunns) is one of example ofthese companies. Gunnsactivities in the Tasmania forest generated public criticisms because Gunn was considered as a firm that deteriorated the enviroment, humans' health and communities' job. Different stakeholder' views on this case might lead to enviromental safety or enviromental destructions. With this background, this essay attempts to analyzethe application of system thinking ( Under Stakeholder theory) in the process of ethical management to the enviroment in the order to solve the conflict of intersts. Hopefully, this paper will significantly contribute to overcome similar issues in Indonesia and also contributes to further researches related to system thinking as a solution for conflict of interest. No full textPembangunan daerah pada dasarnya adalah usaha untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan seluruh potensi daerah guna mewujudkan tujuan-tujuan pembangunan yaitu meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Potensi tersebut meliputi sumber daya alam, sumber daya manusia dan sumber daya buatan (Suryanto, 1994:64). Jika dilihat dari aspek keruangan,potensi dari setiap daerah atau wilayah pada kenyataannya tidaklah sama baik dari jenis, jumlah maupun kualitasnya. Dengan penataan ruang yang optimal dapat menghindari inefisiensi dalam pemanfaatan sumber daya lokal.Berbagai upaya terus dilakukan untuk menggali potensi sumber dana yang ada guna membiayai penyelenggaraan pemerintahan dan pelaksanaan pembangunan daerah. Peningkatan sumber pembiayaan yang berasal dari pendapatan asli daerah dilaksanakan dengan melakukan pungutan atas subyek obyek dan tarif yang didukung oleh peraturan perundang - undangan. Dengan cara ini maka upaya peningkatan pendapatan asli daerah diharapkan tidak menjadi distorsi bagi kemajuan perekonomian daerah maupun minat menanamkan modal di daerah tersebut. Alternatif sumber daya pembiayaan yang dapat dikembangkan adalah bagi hasil pajak dan bukan pajak, bantuan pemerintah pusat, pinjaman daerah dan peningkatan investasi swasta

No full textThe objective of this study is to evaluate the effects of school facilities and motivation to the learning achievement of accounting students at SMK Ardjuna 2 Malang. The participants of this study are 36 students Home XI and XII class. The results of the study suggest that: (l) there is appositive effect between students’ perception on school facilities toward learning achievement in accounting, and (2)there is a positive effect of students’ motivation toward learning achievement in accounting. There are several things to do for the improvement: (1) The school should improve the school facilities, (2) Teacher should guide and motivate the students to increase the school facilities usage and motivate the students to increase the learning motivation and (3 )the next research should find another factor to examine the learning achievement. Pengaruh Iklan Televisi terhadap Niat Membeli Kopi Nescafe
No full textthe objective of this research were partial and simultaneous, and the most dominant of determine condition, the effect of variables of television advertisements that include the contents of messages, message structure, message format and message source against Nescafe coffee's purchasing decisions on the Student of Management Department faculty of Economics in State Universitv of Malang. Population in this research were amounted to 100 respondents and the sampling technique that was implemented was "purposive sampling". The results showed that: (1) There are partially positive and signficant effect of variable contents of the message, message structure, message format and message source on Nescafe coffee purchasing decisions; (2) Television advertisement (the content of messages, message structure, message format and message source) simultaneously have an eject on purchasing decisions of Nescafe coffee; (3) Television advertsiment have effect over purchasing decisions of Nescafe coffee by 38.7%, while the remaining 61.3% were effcted by other variables beyond this research. The decision of organization’s strategic, tactical, and operating objectives really direct the going concern entity unit business. The long term strategy measured and objective that reflecting from the mission, will implement well if the management control could set it appropriately and influence company’s performance.The function of the management control system is to ensure that the company’s objective that has been decided by the top management based on themission and vision of the company can be implemented well by all of the organization members on the entire organization structure (Sidharta, 2011). The objective of this research was to analyze the changing process of management control system precede the ownership changing. The frame work ofthis research was institutional theory.That theory was the primary theory used to study management accounting. PT Semen Gresik had been chosen as the object with an interpretive research paradigm and a case study phenomenology research method. PENGEMBANGAN PENDIDIKAN EKONOMI BERKELANJUTAN UNTUK SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS
No full textThe Development of Sustainable Economics Education for Senior High Schools. The focus of this first-year research of a multi-year study is portraying the implementation of economics education at senior high schools in East Java. Employing a survey design, this study involved 69 economics teachers. Interviews and questionnaires were utilized to obtain data concerning whether the practice of economics teaching reflects sustainable education. Existing relevant documents were also examined to provide supporting evidence. The findings show that sustainable economics education is not evident yet in the teachers’ teaching practice as can also be seen from the curriculum, teachers’ subject-matter understanding, teaching and learning processes, textbooks, and school atmosphere. These findings then become the basis for developing a model of sustainable economics education.Keyword : sustainable economics education, senior high school
