Komunikasi Verbal dan Non Verbal dalam Pembentukan Konsep Diri Anak Panti Asuhan Bunda Serayu
Full text linkAneka komunikasi verbal dan non verbal terjalin dalam interaksi antar anggota panti. Tangisan, tawa, jeritan, kemarahan yang meluap lewat ungkapan membanting benda-benda sekitar, dan sejumlah ekspresi khas anak-anak menjadi komunikasi non verbal yang mewarnai interaksi mereka. Penulis bertujuan menganalisis bagaimana komunikasi verbal dan non verbal anggota panti ini dalam membentuk konsep diri. Penelitian secara deskriptif kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam, serta mengkaji rangkuman kisah dalam buku “Di Tepi Serayu Aku Merindu†ini bertujuan memberikan gambaran seperti apa proses komunikasi verbal dan non verbal berkontribusi pada konsep diri serta cita-cita anak panti. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa konsep diri dan gambaran cita-cita anak di panti ini dipengaruhi bagaimana mereka berkomunikasi, dengan siapa, dan dalam keadaan seperti apa. Interaksi dari pengasuhan dan kebersamaan di bawah satu atap yang sama bagi anak-anak yang berasal dari berbagai latar belakang asal dan budaya di Panti Asuhan Bunda Serayu Banyumas melahirkan makna kasih sayang sebuah keluarga. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh bahwa bahasa verbal, pikiran, perasaan, dan maksud anak-anak di Panti Asuhan Bunda Serayu Banyumas ini dinyatakan serta disempurnakan lewat komunikasi non verbal

Full text linkThe purpose of this research is to understand the meaning of the peusijeuk tradition in heterogeneous societies and its current position, especially in Langsa City. This study will be carried out as a qualitative study with a descriptive type of study. The use of qualitative descriptive methods is considered appropriate in this study, because it reveals the ongoing situation. Through field research, it was found that the peusijuek tradition is one of the Acehnese cultures which is still maintained by the people in Aceh, in that tradition contains Islamic religious values. This can be seen from the point of view that Islam has a universal concept that is able to unite and merge into various civilizations and cultures. For people in Aceh, the peusijuek tradition has a very philosophical meaning and purpose, namely to ask for and obtain safety, peace, and happiness in life. The conclusions in this study are: For people in Aceh, especially Langsa City, the peusijuek tradition has a very philosophical meaning and purpose, namely to ask for and obtain safety, peace, and happiness in life

Full text linkThis study aims to determine the identity and selfhood of each Batak community towards the messages conveyed by their ancestors to be applied in the daily life of the Batak community. The research uses an interpretive paradigm, which views social reality as something dynamic, processed and full of subjective meaning. Social reality is nothing but a social construct. The author describes the Batak community's construction of the philosophy passed down from their ancestors in the life of individual relations with their groups. Qualitative research leads to the original condition the subject is in. The results of this study have revealed that every dialogue that is displayed has the identity of the Batak tribe that has been created due to infinite things that can transcend human beings and continue to be carried out across generations. This belief is repeated from each generation to be applied to their descendants for every ancestral message, traditional rituals, and history of the Batak community to give identity to selfhood as an individual of the Batak tribe. The conclusion is to find things that are not visible, that do not exist in this program to explain the identity of the Batak people. What transcends the individual into what does not exist is an identity for Batak society. The principle of living with the Batak philosophy, and the consequences of not doing it, is the reason every individual is trapped in having to carry out a culture like it or not as Batak society
Optimalisasi Komunikasi Bencana dalam Mengurangi Kabut Asap di Provinsi Riau
Full text linkThis study aims to identify the optimization of disaster communication in reducing haze, using a qualitative descriptive approach. The results show that the implementation of disaster communication has been carried out optimally by BPBD of Riau Province, it can be seen from various factors that have been implemented related to disaster communication. These four factors are Costomer Focus, Leadership commitment, Situational awareness, and Media partnership. Although the four factors are also influenced by other things that occur in the field, such as human error, land exploration by companies and weather conditions. This research can be a reference for stakeholders or the government related to the handling of haze. Further in-depth research is needed related to disaster communication in Riau Province, so that the haze problem that occurs every year can be handled optimall

Full text linkThis study aims to determine the communication strategy and communicationstrategy barriers used by the North Sumatra Education Quality Assurance Institute as one of the government agencies domiciled in each province and responsible for implementing quality assurance as an extension of the central government in the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System to meet and improve the quality of education. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 4 Tanjung Morawa and SMP Negeri 2 Pancur Batu, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. The data is collected through interviews, observations and analyzed using descriptive analysis methods with a qualitative approach. This study uses Harold Lasswell’s Communication Theory. The result showed that the communication strategy of the North Sumatra Education Quality Assurance Institute takes the form of coordination meetings, technical guidance, assistance, monitoring and evaluation. Obstacles that arise in carrying out the communication strategy are the ability to operate technology, the location of the implementation of technical guidance and power outages (technical barriers); the large number of unfamiliar terms in the delivery of material makes it difficult for participants to understand the material (semantic barriers); and the lack of willingness of the school or the Education Quality Assurance Team to change (behavioral barriers)

Full text linkThe purpose of this research is to see how social media creates a new "front stage" for individuals and provides space for these individuals to form and manage their personal images, which tend to be more enjoyable for the digital native generation. This study uses an interpretive paradigm. For interpretive researchers, the goal of social research is to develop an understanding of social life and discover how people construct meaning in natural settings. The implementation of this research produces media literacy, not just an activity that filters out various information that is of no use to its users, positives and more advantages. The conclusion of this research is that Native Digital Generaation is a different group in the stage of searching for identity, and is at the stage of searching for an appropriate role which is expected to receive the appreciation they expect, media literacy is needed as skills not only filter out the negative things of freedom, social media, but furthermore requires the ability to maximize social media space to get positive things and more benefits

This is a qualitative research that using interviews and Focuss Group Discussions (FGD) as a method for collecting data. Ritualisasi Kesenian Barong dalam Estetika Budaya: Studi Eksploratif Komunikasi Intra Personal Masyarakat Kota Beribadat
Full text linkThe purpose of this research is to find out how barong performers perform rituals, people's responses to rituals performed by barong players and the effect of rituals on the personal behavior of barong singers in Kencono in Kendal, Central Java. This study uses a qualitative method with an exploratory approach. The results of the study showed that the rituals performed by barong players included lek-lekan at night before the performance and accompanied by recitation, using offerings such as market snacks, bananas, flowers and eggs. Modern society interprets the offerings as art in culture, not the flow of beliefs that are believed to be guidelines for the belief in their lives. The ritual does not cause a negative influence on the barong player but instead increases devotion to God Almighty. Singo Kencono's barong art was formed to reflect the culture even though there have been many changes in accordance with the times but it still does not eliminate the original culture, other than that Singo Kencono's barong art was formed and played to entertain the public

Full text linkThe new media provides a powerful influence in shaping the knowledge and character of adolescents as a middle class group. Content packaging is represented as naturally as possible in capturing its influence, so that a hegemony practice takes place. Content that emphasizes and accentuates consumptive culture is used as a mainstay to attract the attention of audiens through Youtube channel to increase the number of viewrs to gain profit. This practice is what makes consumptive hegemony make audines subject to approval. This study describes how the practice of hegemony in shaping consumptive ideology, uses qualitative studies with a literary approach to strengthen Gramsci's hegemony explanations. Ria Ricis official Youtube channel analysis object with colorful and squsihy shopping content themes. The results show that the account packages content by cultivating the effect of pleasure in emphasizing consumptive ideology and uploading similar content with the same theme because of the approval. Social media provides a closeness between audiens and content owners so that the practice of hegemony is easily subjected to approval. In defending consumptive ideology, the dominant group makes representations that allow good responses. the hegemony made the consumptive ideology develop into a lifestyle
