    Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemahaman dan Komunikasi Matematis Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas melalui Model Pembelajaran Generatif

    The low ability of students' mathematical understanding and communication as well as the importance of both the enhanced capabilities require a learning model that provides the opportunity for students to construct their own knowledge, one of models is generative learning model. For this reason, researchers interested in conducting research on the application of generative learning model in mathematics learning activities. This study was an experimental study with quantitative approach aimed to obtain the increase in the ability of students' mathematical understanding and communication in mathematical learning using generative learning model reviewed based on the overall student and the student level. This study used a pretest-posttest design with a control group. Data collecting by using a test to determine the gain of ability students' mathematical understanding and communication. Based on analysis of the data concluded that (1) the increase of students mathematical understanding abilities which learning obtain by generative models better than the increase of students' mathematical understanding abilities taught by conventional learning reviewed by the overall student or student level, (2) the increase of students mathematical communication abilities taught by learning generative models better than the increase of students' mathematical communication abilities which taught conventional learning reviewed based on the overall student and the student level, (3) there is no interaction between the factors of the learning approach with the level of mathematical ability and the increase of students 'mathematical understanding, and (4) there is no interaction between factors learning approach and the level of students to the improvement of students' mathematical communication abilities

    Peningkatan Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis dan Motivasi Siswa dengan Pembelajaran Pendekatan Quantum Learning pada Siswa SMP Negeri 5 Lhokseumawe

    Rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan motivasi siswa di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) disebabkan guru masih cenderung aktif, dengan pendekatan konvensional menyampaikan materi kepada para peserta didik, sehingga siswa dalam mengkomunikasikan matematis dan motivasi masih sangat kurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Quantum learning berbeda dari siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran secara konvensional di SMP Negeri 5 Lhokseumawe. Untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan motivasi siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan quantum learning berbeda dari pada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran secara konvensional di SMP Negeri 5 Lhokseumawe. Pengumpulan data digunakan instrumen berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan angket motivasi siswa. Untuk melihat adanya perbedaan kemampuan siswa antara kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol digunakan uji-t dengan taraf signifikan 0,05 setelah prasyarat pengujian terpenuhi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bawa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan penerapan pendekatan quantum learning lebih baik dari pada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran secara konvensional. Motivasi siswa di kelas yang memperoleh pembelajaran pendekatan quantum learning lebih baik dari pada motivasi siswa yang memperoleh pembelajarabn secara konvensional. Pendekatan pembelajaran quantum learning sangat potensial untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika, terutama pada saat pengenalan konsep dasar suatu materi.Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Pembelajaran Quantum Learning, Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis, Motivasi Sisw

    Peningkatan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Geometri melalui Pembelajaran Kooperatif Berbasis Teori Van Hiele

    Geometri adalah cabang matematika yang diajarkan dengan tujuan agar siswa dapat memahami sifat-sifat dan hubungan antar unsur geometri serta dapat menjadi pemecah masalah yang baik. Masih banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar geometri. Salah satu penyebab sulitnya siswa dalam memahami geometri adalah strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan tidak sesuai dengan materi yang diajarkan. Selain itu, dalam pembelajaran geometri selama ini belum disesuaikan dengan tingkat perkembangan berpikir siswa. Oleh karena itu diperlukan strategi yang tepat yang disusun berdasarkan tingkat perkembangan berpikir siswa dalam geometri. Pembelajaran berbasis teori van Hiele merupakan pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan tahapan berpikir siswa, sehingga pembelajaran ini tepat jika diterapkan dalam pembelajaran geometri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri antara siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran kooperatif berbasis teori van Hiele dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretes-postes control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pemecahan masalah dan VHGT. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII MTsN Model Banda Aceh dan sampel yang dipilih adalah kelas VII-11 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII-10 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data yang dianalisis yaitu data N-Gain kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol dengan perolehan nilai sig. 0,000 0,05 pada uji-t yang dilakukan. Selanjutnya, dari pengujian x2 diperoleh bahwa terdapat hubungan antara tingkat berpikir dengan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan kategori tingkat keeratan hubungan adalah cukup (0,421). Dengan demikian, dalam pembelajaran geometri disarankan untuk menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis teori van Hiele agar kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri siswa dapat ditingkatkan.Kata Kunci: Pemecahan Masalah Geometri, Pembelajaran Kooperatif Berbasis van Hiele

    The ability of mathematical problem solving and communication of high school students is still low, it is one of the main problems in mathematics education. Hence the need for the application of learning that can improve the ability of problem solving and mathematical communication students learning, one application of learning that can improve this ability is the application of learning in jigsaw Cooperative. This study aims to determine the increase in the problem solving and mathematical communication students as a whole or in groups. Another goal that you want to see in this study is to determine whether there is interaction between the application of learning and grouping students to increased problem solving skills and mathematical communication students; and the attitude of students towards learning Jigsaw cooperative. Popolation in this study were all students of class XI of SMAN 1 Bukit Bener Meriah by taking samples of the two classes (class experiment acquire contextual approach to learning and conventional learning gain control class) through purposive sampling of five parallel classes are available. This research is experimental and the instrument used is the type of the test (about problem solving and communication) and non-test (student attitude scale). Collecting data using test instruments such as problem solving and communication abilities as well as the mathematical scale questionnaire students' attitudes toward the implementation of cooperative learning jigsaw. To see the differences between the students' increased ability experimental group with the control group used the t-test with a significance level of 0.05 after testing prerequisites are met. The results showed that an increase in problem-solving and communication abilities of students receiving mathematical cooperative learning jigsaw better than students who received conventional learning. There is no interaction between the application of learning and ability grouping of students to an increase in mathematical problem solving and communication students. Based on the analysis of the student attitude scale showed a positive attitude towards learning with a contextual approach

    This study aimed to describe the activities of pre-service teachers metacognition in problem solving algebra material's open. This study is a qualitative research. The subjects were pre-service students of the third semester of mathematics education courses at Syiah Kuala University. Techniques of data collection is done by open problem solving tests algebra and interview. Techniques of data analysis done by data reduction, data presentation and conclusion.     Kemampuan Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Unsyiah Menyelesaikan Soal PISA Most Difficult Level

    To increase and improve PISA rankings (Programme for International of Student Assessment) of Indonesian students not only starts from the students, but also teachers and prospective teachers. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of students as prospective teachers to solve problems of high-level PISA (most difficult) is level 5. This study was a descriptive study using a qualitative approach to describe the ability of each student in solving PISA question. The subjects were students taking the Teaching Mathematics I course of Mathematics Education Program FKIP Unsyiah. Data analysis in qualitative research based on the results of the data collection process in the form of field notes, documentation, and interviews. Assessment conducted on students' ability to solve problems using the PISA assessment rubric. Furthermore, the score obtained is converted into the interval level of ability. The results showed only one student (14,28 %) of the seven students who have an excellent ability to resolve the matter appropriately. Meanwhile, three students (42,85 %) experienced only a mistake on the problems at the problem of the distance down. However, the ability of the three students vary based on the accuracy of the analysis in solving aspects. For the third ability of other students (42,85 %) were still low due to the settlement of questions that do not quite right with the ability to be at sufficient levels. Based on the results of this study are expected each faculty can use international issues as a matter of PISA in learning, so that students get used to solve the problems of non-routine to improve their ability to understand and solve problems, which can contribute to the future of teaching practice

    Peningkatan Kemampuan Pemahaman dan Disposisi Matematis Siswa SMA melalui Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Numbered Head Together

    Increased capacity and disposition of students' mathematical understanding in mathematics learning is very important as it is outlined in the curriculum KTSP (2006) and reaffirmed in year 2013. The use of an appropriate learning model is expected to achieve those goals. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase comprehension and mathematical dispositions that students taught with cooperative learning model Numbered Head Together (NHT), determine whether there is a correlation between increased capacity and disposition of mathematical understanding that students taught with cooperative learning models Numbered Head Together (NHT ). This study was a quasi-experimental study with a quantitative approach, the population class X SMA Negeri 1 Sakti, Kabupaten Pidie, randomly selected sample as many as two classes: the class as a class experiment X1 and X2 class as the control class. Data were collected using a test instrument comprehension and mathematical statistic questionnaire. Data were analyzed using t test and one-way ANOVA test. Once the data is processed and analyzed it is concluded that: (1) Increasing the ability of understanding is taught using cooperative learning models Numbered Head Together (NHT) is better than being taught by conventional teaching, (2) an increase in students' mathematical dispositions are taught using learning cooperative models Numbered Head Together (NHT) better than students taught with conventional learning, (3) There is a positive correlation between an increase in the ability of students with improved mathematical understanding students' mathematical dispositions

    This study aims to determine the level of students' creative thinking in solving math problems. This study is a qualitative verificative research. Subjects numbered 4 people ie students of SMA Negeri 4 Banda Aceh class X. The selection of subjects was based on Matching Familiar Figure Test ( MFFT ) ie 2 students and 2 students reflective impulsive. The data were obtained from the study subjects written response tests of creative thinking math ( TBKM ) and interviews. To test the credibility of the data the researcher doing triangulation. In this study, triangulation was used to compare the triangulation method TBKM TBKM 1 with 2 and interviews. Creative thinking abilities of students can be seen by thinking of creative mathematics achievement indicators. Creative thinking ability of students surveyed as follows, the level of creative thinking on the subject of reflective material up 1 flat is level 4 which meets four indicators of fluency, novelty, flexibility, and elaboration, the level of creative thinking on the subject of reflective material equation 1 is a straight line that is level 4 meet four indicators fluency, novelty, flexibility, and elaboration.     Abstract. Learning with ICT can produce new works that an indigenous, has a high value, and more meaningful. The purpose of this research was to improve student learning outcomes IX grade SMP Negeri 5 Sabang on the topic of data display through ICT-based learning. The subjects were students of class IX of the number of students 18 people. This research was a classroom action research (PTK), which consists of two cycles with the phases of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Based on the results of research and data analysis can be concluded that students completenessthe goal individually in which the first cycle as many 9% and the second cycle as many 15%. The most dominant teachersactivity in the second cycle was to guide students in conducting discussions, while most dominant students activity was a discussion about the problems submitted by teachers.     Remedial Teaching Matematika didasarkan pada Diagnosa Kesulitan Siswa Kelas II Madrasah Tsanawiyah

    Seringkali siswa tidak dapat menyelesaikan soalsoal pada materi persamaan garis lurus secara tuntas, yang disebabkan oleh ketidakmampuan siswa memahami atau mengingat konsep-konsep dasar matematika yang pernah dipelajari sebelumnya, sehingga prestasi belajar siswa belum mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, perlu diberikan perlakuan khusus, seperti remedial teaching. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang peranan remedial teaching dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa dan meningkatkan prestasi belajarnya. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian eksperimen. Data diperoleh dari observasi, tes, dan wawancara. Analisa data dilakukan dengan deskriptif kualitatif yang mengacu pada hasil tes siswa yang kemudian didiagnosa kesulitan belajarnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mampu memahami konsep persamaan garis lurus meningkat (80% dari 32 orang siswa yang ikut remedial teaching mengalami peningkatan hasil belajarnya). Hal ini membuktikan bahwa remedial teaching dapat mengatasi kesulitan belajar dan meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dalam memahami konsep persamaan garis lurus.
