Studies examining the gender differences on environment issues are still scarce. Limited number of published studies have merely examined on the influence of gender on environmental knowledge and behaviour, particularly of their understanding on climate change. Hence, there remains a curious silence on gender relations in the mainstream literature and policy discourse. Here, the effect of gender on environmental using Ecological Footprint Analysis were evaluated on students at State University of Jakarta. Also, this study sought the contribution of socio-economic background on gender inequities. To account for Ecological Footprint of students, ex-post facto methods was used on 230 students to record their consumption behaviour. Result of Ecological Footprint calculation explained that all students enrolled in this University require 13.376,68 gHa/year of land to support their on-campus activities. On average, Ecological Footprint between males and females was not significantly different. The differences between males and females was also not significant as when socio-economic background taken into account

Ecological footprint is an estimation analysis or measure individual consumption behaviour resulting in the environment. One of the factors which ecological footprint affects are knowledge of ecology concepts and gender. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between student’s knowledge of ecology concepts to ecological footprint based on gender. This research was conducted on January-February 2016. The method used was descriptive method with correlational study. The sample was simple random sampling about 104 students. The prerequisite test showed that the data was normal and homogen. The first hypothesis test using linear regression test and simple correlation. Regression model obtained Ŷ = 0.047–0.574X had a significant and linear relationship. The coefficient of correlation obtained was –0.72, which means there was a negative relationship between student’s knowledge of ecology concepts to ecological footprint. The coefficient of determination obtained was 0.518, which means student’s knowledge of ecology concepts contributed 51.8% to the ecological footprint. The second hypothesis test using t-test independent sample, significance value obtained was 0.123, which means that there was no significant ecological footprint difference between man students and woman students. The result of this study concluded that there was negative correlation between student’s knowledge of ecology concepts with ecological footprint and gender was no affect the student’s ecological footprint. The higher of knowledge of ecology concepts will reduce their ecological footprint and it will create a balance environment

This research is about studying the effect of environmental leadership and environmental personality on staffs’ perception toward greening institutions. There were around 6 research problems have been solved, including dependency between environmental leadership and environmental personality with staffs’ perception toward greening institutions. Therefore, an ex-post facto method by using 2 x 2 factorial designs had been applied. Each cell consisted of 16 staffs from provincial government institutions, South Sulawesi which selected randomly. There were three instruments have been developed such as Environmental Leadership (EL), Environmental Personality (EP), and Greening Institutions (GI) which measured in a scaling form. Its reliable was respectively .991 (EL), .907(EP), and .929 (GI). Data have been analyzed by implementing two-way ANOVA and Chi-Square. Research results show that there is highly significant difference of staffss’ perception toward greening institutions between stafss who perceived their superordinate to have transformational environmental leadership rather than transactional. There is highly difference of staffs’ perception toward greening institutions between staffs who has good and bad environmental personality. There is no significant interaction effect found between environmental leadership and environmental personality on greening institutions. Finally, there is dependency between environmental leadership and environmental personality with greening institutions. Based on these findings, it could be interpreted that staffs’ perception toward greening institutions might have been affected by environmental leadership independently without considering environmental personality. Therefore, if the greening institutions would be improved, environmental personality and environmental leadership could be taken in to consideration separately

Development of teaching materials EEBP method refers to the model of instructional design. Teaching materials developed is evaluated by education practitioners, and then effectiveness test the group of six graders, with  using the experimental method. Evaluation data analyzed by descriptive, while the effectiveness of the test data were statistically analyzed using t-test. Evaluation results can be concluded, the purpose and scope of the material in the teaching materials model EEBP have compatibility with the competencies to be achieved. Design of teaching materials draw a learning activities with problem solving approach. Statistical analysis showed that, the group of students who are taught using teaching materials EEBP have a better understanding than the group of students who are learning without the use of teaching materials EEBP. Conclusion of the study, teaching materials EEBP effective enough to improve the understanding of sixth grade students about concepts of ecosystems
